Hi @subtledoctor I imported my Arcanist to BG2EE by putting my final save into my BG2EE save folder and using NI to change the kit to Arcanist. I then started a new game in BG2EE and have the Arcanist kit. However, I not have the special ability to change my memorized spells. I have created a new Arcanist in BG2EE and tried to find the ability so I could add it to my imported character, but have had no luck. Can you point out how I would add the special ability to my character using NI? EDIT: I started a new game in BG2EE with an Arcanist. I used NI to give myself my XP (549k XP) and stats (9, 16, 15, 19, 16, 9). I am 11th level but find I can only know 3 first level spells instead of 4. I can know 4 2nd level spells and 3rd level spells and 3 4th and 5th level. So 1st level seems to have an issue. I don't have any items to give me any 1st level memorize slots. Though the amulet I find in Irenicus dungeon does give me an extra slot to memorize for 2nd level (I just don't do it). WeiDU.log

@subtledoctor, just finished BGEE and SoD with the Arcanist. Really like the kit! My compliments on your great work! Only thing I found is that I can memorize and cast the restricted spells (identify and spell sequencers). I attached my Weidu log for reference. WeiDU.log

How about Olvynspells? It is another spellpack, but not sure if it has the same issues as SR?

@Raduziel could you summarize how you would implement Gond, Istishia, and Labelas Enoreth? Then Endarire, John, and I could vote for which of the three we want?

I am so sorry to hear that @Raduziel is retiring! I really enjoy your works! I wish you the best in whatever you do and thank you so much for adding such great works to the Baldurs Gate world! I would vote for Istishia. Been looking for a cleric who is high in elemental spells but is not a druid.

Ah, that bug! I thought a different mod was doing that. I found if I cast some of the extra spells a few times they all go away and don't come back. So weird, but easily addressed. Thanks for the hotfix!

Wanted to call out something. I notice that my Arcanist is not getting to see area of effect radius for spells, while the NPC mages do got it for the same spells. Is there a way to get the Arcanist so that his spells show AoE when that feature is turned on in game?

I never noticed that Subtledoctor. I do use the Evermemory fix that is in the Artisan's Kit pack. This fix simply sets the spells gained by the ring to 4 spells/slots (no doubling). I have it on a Mage/Thief multi-class using it in my present game and seeing no issues using TnB v0.9.2 with bonuses for high abilities installed. Just wanted to note this in case it makes a difference.

@subtledoctorI wanted to call out for the Arcanist in BGEE, that I am able to memorize identify scrolls and cast them as well (they are not restricted as noted in the kit description).

Thank you Subtledoctor for the great mod! I really appreciate all the time and effort you have put in to make such a wonderful addition to the Baldur's Gate trilogy! I loaded the newest version and gave myself XP. Looks perfect now! It will be awhile before I am in BG2EE (I don't use EET) so looking forward to the level 8 & 9 memorize slot fix.

Now I gave myself 750k XP in BGEE. Here is what I ended up with at 12th level of Arcanist. 18 INT and bonus spells for high abilities installed. Spell Level Memorize Slots Casts per day 1 4 7 2 4 7 3 3 7 4 3 5 5 2 4 6 0 0 NOTE: If I don't have the bonus spells for high abilities installed I get 4 mem slots for levels 1 through 5 and one slot at 6th (which is what the mage gets).

Haven't got that high in level yet to see. EDIT: I gave myself 2.7 million XP in BGEE (I have a cap remover installed). Stopped before epic feats so I don't crash the game. Here is what I ended up with at 17th level of Arcanist. 18 INT and bonus spells for high abilities installed. Spell Level Memorize Slots Casts per day 1 5 7 2 5 7 3 4 7 4 4 5 5 3 5 6 1 No spells to memorize 7 1 No spells to memorize 8 3 No spells to memorize 9 0

As follow-up to the above. I'm in BGEE with TnB v0.9.1 installed. I find the Arcanist receives memorization slots for 1st and 2nd level spells just like a mage. 3rd and 4th level memorization slots are coming one level later then a mage and thus I have one fewer overall for my level. At 7th level Arcanist, I have 4 - 1st lvl, 3 - 2nd lvl, 1 - 3rd lvl and 0 - 4th lvl memorization slots (3rd and 4th should have 2 and 1 slots). This is with 18 INT and the bonus spells for high ability scores installed. So it seems the penalty for 18 INT is taking one too many memorization slots away for 3rd and 4th level spells.

EDIT: So I gave myself XP to level up and see when casts appear and I see that the following for when I am able to cast: Level of spell Arcanist level 1 1 2 3 3 6 4 8 I have ability bonuses on. EDIT2: Removed the ability bonus component and started a new game. Leveled up and found it worked fine and I got the spells as a mage would with casts. It seems to me that an INT of 18 does not provide as many 3rd level bonus spells as is being compensated for. Seems that way. if 18 INT only gives a +1 slot for 3rd level spells then what I am seeing with the bonus component makes sense if the compensation is doing -2.

@subtledoctorcould my Arcanist spell casting issue be related to the tweaks changing spell tables? Should the Arcanist also be installed after tweaks like the ability bonus component?

@subtledoctorto add to the above. After sleeping I was able to get the 3rd level memorization slot, but the dispel magic does not show up in my casting list. I rested again and can't cast my 3rd level spell. EDIT: My observations are that memorization is working as if I am a mage. I can't figure out how casts per day works as it seems like Dragon Disciple amounts, but at 3rd level of Arcanist I could cast 2nd level spells while at 5th level Arcanist I can't cast third level spells.

Thanks for the info! Just noticed that in BGEE for my Arcanist, the Evermemory ring gives me 1 extra 1st level cast a day (as you noted), but 4 extra memorization picks. I just ignore the extras, but wanted to let you know. EDIT: I am at 5th level, but I am not getting a 3rd level memorization slot to fill. I do have a 3rd level spell in my book. 1st and 2nd level memorization slots line up with a mage (4 and 2 slots).

Does Revised Familiar component 67 improve the familiars over levels or are they the save all through BGEE, BG2EE, and ToBEE?

Started a Mana Sorcerer to see what it is like in BGEE. At first level I only know one spell instead of two like a sorcerer. Does the Mana Sorcerer get bonus mana points for high CHA? EDIT: Needed to pick them one at a time (use item twice). Didn't realize that at first.

Started a new game (was only 10k XP in anyway) in BGEE with the Arcanist using TnB v0.9.1. It seems I can cast the same amount of spells per day as a Specialist mage. 4 casts at level one with 18 INT and 5 casts per day at 2nd level. Unless INT of 18 gives more then +2 1st level spell casts? At 3rd level, I can cast 6, 1st level spells and 4, 2nd level spells. EDIT: I can memorize one spell at level 1 and two spells at level 2. So memorization is working like a mage. EDIT2: Just found an identify scroll and was able to scribe it. Should it not be restricted from the Arcanist? EDIT3: At 3rd level I was able to memorize 2nd level spells. Is this correct or should I be going up like a Dragon Disciple and it should be 4th level before I can cast 2nd level spells?
