Iirc, at one point, they said they got everyone they could get the original actor for. Jaheira was probably recast because she's a "canon" party member. And Safana probably becaue they were all in on not letting the PC have Imoen in the beginning and needed another thief to be available. And Safana not being evil means she fits in with more parties. *shrugs*

Okay, I see. Thanks again. And yeah, I plan on running this in wine. Yeah. I'm getting errors too. I got most of them resolved built the exe, but when run, it says it can't find the TP2 file. But its in there, I double checked. I hate computers. Okay,was able to get it to open by adding a copy of the un-packaged tp2 file in the folder. But the installation console has "undefined" as all the mod components. So I'm at a wall. Getting a little frustrated at myself, so I'm gonna take a break from it for now. Thank you for all the help, it got me a lot further than I would have gotten otherwise.

Got them, thanks! According to the readme, I'm supposed to edit the .bat file to match the values of the breagar mod. I assume I change "mod_folder" to match breagar's directory. But do any of the other vaules need to change?

Blades are the best single class magic tanks that can also dish out damage in melee. You need multiclasses to do most of what a bard does, and its spins are fantastic.

Counterpoint to the plot urgency I don't think its unreasonable for a charname to believe both parties are secure in a cell. They certainly seem clueless upon reaching the prison depending on which path you take to get entry.

Hi jastey! I have, kind of a weird request. I'm on a new computer with a new OS (Linux, yeah I know), and for the life of me, I can't get most mods to work. I've gone through all the tutorials and had a bunch of people help me troubleshoot, but something on my end breaks linux weidu. I've spent months on this and have kind of given up. But I have found a workaround. So, my question. Would it be at all reasonable and not a pain in the butt to package Breagar with a self extracting installer? Like how SCS and Tweaks Anthology comes. I can't run weidu directly for some reason, but I CAN run the installer through wine. Breagar quickly became one of my favorite npcs, and I've missed having him in my games. Doesn't help that my last computer died before I could finish a full BG2 run with him.

Probably depends on the context. There's a lot of similar iconography throught history and different cultures. Some of the oldest confirmed meanings include things like trade, liars, and alchemy or the god Mercury. The US adopted it as a symbol of medicine in the 19th or 20th(?) century. Hilariously mistakenly. The actual symbol that represents medicine is the Rod of Asclepius. Which has no wings and only a single serpent, as Chronis mentioned above. Considering the culture of the US, I'd wager that its done as reference to the Bible story in that context. Not so much in other contexts.

I wonder how or even if this can roll out. When the OGL was concieved a clause was put in saying that it could never be altered. Whether revoking it and putting up a replacement counts as altering or not, I couldn't say. There's also the matter of how this would be enforced. There would be very little copyrighted material to even claim, since the OGL is used for original works. I imagine some class action lawyer is rubbing their hands together at the thought.

Needing to cast protection from evil to prevent yourself from being attacked is pretty clear in that the spell evil outer planar creatures.

Because giving mages planetars in the first place makes no sense. A demon or some other outsider would make far more sense.

Don't Druids evntually get to summon elemental princes as an HLA? If Druids can have unique named summons, can't you just give mages a named minor demon lord or something? There's no reason (dev side) that it couldn't be coded as controllable and granting exp like every none fiend summon.
