paladin quests and Garren encounter clash

I know, we are compatible, but I have two bug-reports that asking Garren to stay the night disables (i.e. prevents the variable to be set) the variable that would lead for a paladin to become a member of the Order of the Most Radiant Heart. Both players were not able to talk with the Order's prelate about becoming an Order's member if the "spending night with Garren" respond option was chosen.

Checked this, and my apologies: Garren shouldn't be available to female paladins, it was my oversight(or, rather, too diligent coding). Paladins, please, ignore the temptation! I'll tweak it in v2.

Might it cause problems with players who use the multi-strongholds tweak of BG2 Tweaks?

It doesn't cause any problems if you don't choose that reply.

 

If you choose that reply, you will not get paladin stronghold, probably, but nothing else.

That's what I meant: if you're go for a walk with Garren, you don't get the paladin stronghold, which is a bit of a clash with multi-strongholds, if you want to collect the whole set.

Yes, which can be interpreted that Garren didn't like the sex, I suppose. Or didn't like the fact that you refused...

 

(Hells, such things happen in RL so often that it's not even funny).

 

But anyway, yes, glitch, will fix, should be no Garren for paladins, so resist the temptation and all that.

Is there a sense in excluding paladins? I mean story wise. (I would prefer it would be available to paladins, too.)

Too? But yes, I think it makes sense: it is shown in the encounter(especially if you listen to him and refuse) that Garren does not see what he is doing as right and honorable. I assume that he simply will not approach a female paladin with this proposal - he will be too ashamed.

Make that "I don't see a reason why a paladin shouldn't romance Garren, but I haven't played the encounter yet and didn't read it, either, because I didn't want to spoil myself, so I don't know how it actually goes."

This happened to me. Is there any way to fix it with SK so I don't have to back in the game and do it all over again? I tried deleting the following but it didn't work:

Maybe it makes more sense to set the variable that would have been set in Garren's dialogue where he offers a paladin PC to become a member of the Order:

 

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("HelpedGarren","GLOBAL",1)

 

and talking to the Order's prelate should do the trick.
