I would like to install a couple of NPC mods but...

I don't know if it would be a problem or not. I have a new and clean reinstall and now I wish I had added a couple of more NPC's to it. Is it really a big deal to add them at the end? Otherwise I tried to follow previous install advice. Here's my current install if it helps. I couldn't find a real answer to my question when I searched so I thought I'd try here.

I don't think you'd have anything hideously go wrong. However some npcs you add might have had additional content due to Crossmod, Banterpack, IEPBanters, & NPC Flirt, but who knows really...

Thank you! I was thinking it would probably be okay. Actually my install this time is short and the NPC's I want to add don't yet have crossmod. I'll go for it, thanks again for the reply.

I suppose if something hideously goes wrong I'll post again as a warning to others.

And then there is the fact that none of the NPCs personal items are effected by the BG2 Tweaks.

Hmm, I have to ask, why you don't use the first component of the (G3)BG2 Fixpack? It's not necessary of course...

 

By the way, you'll get the :) ->: by installing something that can't identify the others(I think in this case it's the Moddie fox monster), they might give you a few extra bugs... but if you have played a game that had those already, it can't be that bad.

You've already got three seriously voice-heavy NPC mods in your install. Adding more will likely slow your game to a crawl. The problem is that the voice files are large, and that the entire override dirctory has to be loaded into RAM during every script cycle, or at least that's how it was explained to me. When you're dealing with that kind of PC resource load, your lag time might increase.

Ah, I'm glad I read the last posts before I did my additional installs. Thanks jarno mikkola and berelinde.

I didn't install the first component of the Fixpack probably because I didn't understand what it was (and I don't recall what the component was at the moment). I'm not that bright when it comes to this stuff. And when I printed my Weidu log I wondered what those smilies were doing there.

And my game is dragging a little bit already so I am well advised to consider that before adding more NPC's.
