CoM_Solaufein Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 What is the best free software to convert wav to ogg?
Sam. Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I recommend oggenc (really oggenc2). You can find ogg converters here.Alternatively, my tool PS Gui at SHS wraps oggenc, oggdec, and ogginfo. See this topic for some relevant info.
aqrit Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 wav and ogg are both container formats and it depends on the definition of "best" I personally would answer with ffmpeg
Jarno Mikkola Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 wav and ogg are both container formats Yeah, but we are probably talking about the .wavc (audio only) files actually...
CoM_Solaufein Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 I recommend oggenc (really oggenc2). You can find ogg converters at http://www.rarewares.org/ogg.php Alternatively, my tool PS Gui at SHS (http://www.shsforums.net/topic/39117-ps-gui-v304/) wraps oggenc, oggdec, and ogginfo. See this topic for some relevant info: http://www.shsforums.net/topic/56955-modding-suite-for-the-enhanced-editions/ That PS is a wonderful tool. It took my 60+MB sound folder and cut it down to 16MB. I'm not into DOS based other than Weidu. GUI based programs for the win.
