Treebeard Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Greetings fellow BG enthusiasts, As the title suggests I'm interested in knowing if the following mods are compatible with BG2:EE (Enhanced Edition). Also, if there are any special installation instructions to make them compatible (including installation order if needed), then I'd be grateful to have those listed in this thread as well. These are the Weimer Mods that I'd like to use in BG2:EE: Item Upgrades v40 Tactics Mod v25 Ascension v1.4.24 Solaufein v104 The versions are the most recent from the Weidu homepage. (If there are any newer releases elsewhere, e.g. there is a WEIDU 238 on this eminent site, then I'd be grateful to have such links posted in this thread.) On a specific note; would Weidu 238, if used in the BG2:EE folder, make the above mods compatible with BG2:EE? Thank you for your time and expertise.-Hrrmmm ... hrrroooommm ... TB
Jarno Mikkola Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Well, the answer is two folded, the weidu.exe v238 can install the mods to the BG2EE game... but the mods are not entirely compatible with the BG2EE as they overwrite stuff that shouldn't be overwritten. So essentially you can end up taking away a few of the Enhancements.
critto Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 I am pretty sure that the work is in progress at least on tactics and ascension, judging by the relevant threads on forum.baldursgate.com
Graoumf Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 CamDawg made a new version of Item upgrade (v41) a few months ago. I've got it on my HDD since we updated the french translation, but there was no public release.
InKal Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Item Upgrade is compatible with EE I installed Sola without any problems on EE but during the game experienced some bugs (Unseeing Eye quest didn't even start, some areas crashing the game) and uninstalled. Concerning Ascension IIRC They've made a promise Ascension will be implemented in the game on release. They screwed and they suck pretty bad. Two?? Two fecking years already. Pretty BAD.....
SoulTsunami Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 I'm trying to do a custom party in BG2EE, and the v16 tweaks seems to work EXCEPT for the improved kick-out dialogue. I still only get the two options that keep or banish the NPC. How can I fix this?
