Spanish translation

Hello Jastey.

I created a Spanish translation with a friend for this mod.

I hope you can officially include it.

I'm just going to say I did a really really shitty spanish translation for Enhanced Powergaming Scripts. I welcome all assistance in making those better. Same goes for my other mods if you would like to add a spanish translation.

@ElGamerViejuno That's great! Please check the format of the files, I think some of them are in utf8, I'd need all of them in ANSI. For the setup.tra it would be optimal if there is no other letters than the latin ones, since the install window can't display them (that's the same for all OS, right?).

Not under linux at least, they display perfectly in the console in general.

In weidu.log, on the other side... Every mod writes in whatever charset they are using so you end up with a mess.

To be pedantic, é ö, ñ (and are latin letters. You can say "basic latin letters" I guess (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_basic_Latin_alphabet)

And I thought weidu worked fine wth utf8 TRAs, at least for the EEs? (not a modder, just someone who occasionally submits translations, so I'm eager to know)

To be precise, according to the weidu documentation (but not the one https://weidu.org/WeiDU/README-WeiDU.html that seems outdated), the charset 'standard" for spanish is CP1252

The EE games need utf8 (without BOM), the classic engine expects ANSI (whatever charset coding that is for the according languages). In EndlessBG1, the tra files are provided in ANSI and transformed to utf8 during installation for the EEs. (I have only one mod that only provides utf8 formatted tra files, and that's Road to Discovery. It's only for the EEs.)

Yes, thanks. There is different encodings for different languages; I expect translators for BG to know which one is valid for their language if I say "ANSI".

Not in my use of the word, maybe it's different for different languages. In German, "Latin letters" are the basic 26: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lateinisches_Alphabet . I had some semantic infos with regard to the English language recently, so good to know.
