Morthond
Will it be there? Lovely little place just north of the Cloudpeaks. Link to comment
Miloch
You mean just rip the area from BG1/Tutu? Link to comment

Elfen Lied
i suppose it possible, but i think it would have to have some quest or other reason to go there, not unlike the small teeth pass in the unmodded game of BGII, hardly any EXP and no quest, why would i want to go there? Link to comment

Indeed, I've still yet to go there because I heard that there was really no point. Link to comment
Elfen Lied
i believe Tactics mod beefs up those areas, quite a bit actually. actually make it worth going there, but still no quests, just EXP. Link to comment
NiGHTMARE
We definitely plan to include Nashkel in LoI, but not in the first version. It'll probably be added in version 2, if not 3. It definitely won't simply be "thrown in". In fact, getting to Nashkel will be a quest in itself, as heavy snowfall has blocked the pass through the Cloudpeaks. You'll need to travel over the mountains, meeting several nasty surprised on the way. There will be several reasons to go to Nashkel. The blocked pass means that several people south of the mountains are in need of adventurers to carry out various orders of business in the town, and new NPC Jaina's first quest involves to travelling to a monastery a short distance west of Nashkel (another new area, obviously). There will also be a few new quests givers in the town itself, the main one involving the Ghastkill family (one of their number being the mayor, who was present in BG1). Link to comment
Guest guest
but, if the player can travel that far north, all the way to nashkell, whats going to prevent them from traveling to candlekeep or even baldurs gate? Link to comment
BigRob
What stopped you from doing that in SoA? There is a certain level of content one can expect from any game/mod and if the game is only set within a certain area, one has to just accept it. Link to comment
Guest guest
true yes but i believe what really stopped the character from going to any area from bg1 was all the people that mistrusted the protagonists tainted blood...(remember? the intro?) Link to comment
BigRob
In BG1, that was not general knowledge and it was limited to a very few people. Even in BG2, no one really recognised <CHARNAME> as a Bhaalspawn. And there's plenty of empty wilderness to cross through to the east of Baldur's Gate, with no one to stop anyone travelling through it. Link to comment
