  1. SCS "spellcasting demiliches" nerfs demilich immunity down to L1-5 iirc.
  2. - if Angelo isn’t using his Detonation arrows, it’s a bug; will address - it’s possible IP is overnerfed now. Possibly with the new nerfs (which make it match the spell description) the others are overkill. Will muse. - Inquisitor has been around for ages and different people have different views. No plans to change it, since in any case it’s a separate component. - I’m not sure what the “extra invis” is. It’s some ordinary spell, not something scripted for Angelo/Semaj. Probably mislead (SCS hides the spell name). Are you sure an illusionary version wasn’t around somewhere?
  3. Sounds like something’s wrong, yes. Can you describe in more detail: who is summoning the fiends?
  4. OK, thanks for this. What’s going on is that the L2 Spell is the IWD version, and IWD Cure spells don’t affect outsiders and undead. In hindsight that’s going to lead to anomalies when the rest of the IWD spells aren’t present: I should be cloning and tweaking a BG spell instead. Given joinable tieflings (esp. Haer’dalis) I should probably be removing the no-outsiders thing anyway. I think the 3.5 framework has advantages (and SR does it) but I don’t want to mess to quite that degree with the system, especially as IWD has spells at all five levels. And I don’t have a problem with a 25th level caster being able to use a 5th level slot to heal (on average) 47 hp.
  5. Looks like my code isn’t anticipating any F/M/T; will fix.
  6. Replying to a few points: - ok, clearly something is still going wrong with the “customize NPC” thing, but it seems erratic. If you’re using that component and it’s fine, can you let me know? - will have a look at the Baresh/Selaad encounter when I get a chance. (I’m relocating atm and have limited time.) - yes, I’m leaving SoD alone at least until I have a chance to play it. Its AI is totally different from the rest of the game and it wouldn’t make sense to mess with it blind (and reviews suggest it’s pretty good). - ITEM_MM is set on items that give immunity to Magic Missile. - Although they’re listed in their descriptions as L10, HLAs are actually L9 iirc; in any case I’m pretty sure SCS doesn’t mess with their level. - fwiw there are no “SCS authors” other than me: it’s not a collaborative project.
  7. I don’t support the EE mod setup tool, sorry.
  8. Underlying this is a slightly awkward feature of the adaptation of AD&D rules to BG. In AD&D, the wyvern gets (something like) a bite attack and a tail-sting attack. BG1 implements this by randomly shifting between the two.
  9. This is bizarre. Can I confirm that you both downloaded the 32.7 exe, rather than the github contents? - it’s possible there’s some mismatch.
  10. Yes, if you have a save game from 32.6 it will still be broken even with the 32.7 fix.
  11. Ok, thanks. Will check (again...) when I can. (Is that the Imoen in BG1, or a SoD version?)
  12. Alien: “confirmed” as in you have reproduced it yourself? This is a scenario I tested immediately before release and it seemed ok- but I was and am in an awkward space for mod updating so may have made a mistake.
  13. What’s the bottleneck in producing a readme?
  14. It isn't missing: it's component 5900. If the others are skipped, it's because there was an error when you tried to install 5900. If you tried in the order of your WEIDU log, SCS would probably have refused to install because it needs to go after EET_end (see the install order instructions in the readme).
  15. Actually that is (more or less) how SCS’s AI is designed: after all, the underlying system is AD&D, which has a human player controlling all creatures.
  16. What is the error message SCS gives you?
  17. It’s there because it’s part of the overall balancing. (But it’s not a big deal: use the ini if you don’t want it.)
  18. From my point of view it doesn’t really matter whether it’s a valid tactic or an exploit! That said, I’ve never really felt “tank” makes sense in the logic of D&D combat.
  19. The EE mod setup tool (that’s the tool Roxanne maintains, I assume?) isn’t just a setup tool: it makes unauthorized modifications to SCS. One of those modifications reintroduces into SCS the bug that you’re seeing. If you install manually you shouldn’t see the bug.
  20. You are using some unauthorized modification of scs.
  21. I’m traveling so can’t check things easily. If I recall, v2 is compatible with Edwin but you need to install Edwin first (v2 detects it and makes the required changes).
  22. Which is why it would be good to release an actual v4. People can hardly be blamed for getting v3 when that’s still the official one linked to the project pages and download pages on G3.
  23. I don’t care about blocking deliberate exploits.
  24. I have updated to v32.7 to fix this nasty bug with the NPC customization component, which crept in at the last minute in a foolish change I made after my main testing cycle. That's what I get for trying to do a last-minute release before losing stable internet access for a while... I'm doing this one in a hurry too, so I apologise in advance for any problems, but I *think* it should be fine. (Testing the NPCs, they seem to work fine now.)
  25. Fair enough. And if enough people ask I might consider it (it would effectively be a fourth spell system, alongside SR, IWD and vanilla). But it's a reasonable amount of work and I have other projects I'd rather prioritise.
