'bout - is how the text appears in the actual dialog file from NWN Diamond. This also applies to various of the other texts flagged up - NWN appears to have had built in responses for low intelligence characters (eg "Me want know 'bout you" is original game text). For my part, when sifting through the English text I left a lot of these alone where they were clearly coming from the official NWN text and were not the result of machine translation. -

Unless I have completely misunderstood what AGKanevchev did, it's not a port of NWN with NWN engine mechanics, it's a quest mod written from scratch in the BG2 engine but with - as I understand it - the dialog file from NWN Diamond (and screens/maps from Pillars of Eternity). So it should be less difficult than working with the 3E to 2E convert tipun did. -

EDIT: I was hallucinating, paladin84 hasn't done this yet. But he and tipun are definitely talking about doing this with NWN (over on arcanecoast). -

You ahould note that the Corwin mod "Love Conquers All" also has a quest to rescue Caelar in TOB. I never got that far in testing that mod yet but based on the SoA content of LCA, I would confidently expect it to be better written than Roxanne's at the very least. That having been said, I do like the option in Roxanne's mod to join the Crusade (which I have used for certain runs), so I envisage in future that I would install the first part of her mod and not the second due to overlap with LCA.

Isn't this what Wheels does if you go to the monastery early? If Ascension, Wheels and TOBR could all be made to play nice, plus what morpheus has in the pipeline, I for one would be happy. -

This is basically what happens in the Throne of Bhaal Revisited mod - you make Gromnir pause long enough to offer an alliance against Yaga Shura. But the mod has significant compatibility issues with Longer Road and I think also Ascension. Definitely has some interesting stuff in it though. -

Generally agreed that more foreshadowing of the Five would be good. I'm pretty sure that the NPC Thael ties Sendai to Ust Natha as Thael's quest is one of revenge involving her and he originally has traced her to Ust Natha (I think? Waiting on JohnBob translating this one!) And yes, Black Hearts' use of Illasera is awesome. In general I am sure I would absolutely play subtledoctor's TOB-in-SOA-and-then-PST, but very much as a side hustle. I have yet to play Lava's Juniper and am very keen for morpheus's Crucible and generally want more TOB content, not less. -

Yes I have followed all of that fine, your files are very readable even to an uninitiated like me! I understand that the suggestions are coming from NWN originals and at times I was cross checking with the dialog file I ripped from my copy of NWN Diamond (as I understand he used that version). The issue is when - and it crops up quite a bit in the limited files I have been through - the suggestion in comments bears no relation whatsoever to the machine generated line, suggesting AGK has altered the dialog tree somewhow. In those instances I have been trusting that his line is generally correct, ignored the suggestion and simply tweaked the wording where the machine translation is jarringly off. -

Yeah I guess paladin84 is right about the term total conversion. AGKanevchev never released this as a mod, he released a bundle of the original game with his NWN content inextricably incorporated into it. I tried that and it was daunting to navigate in Russian! Very grateful to paladin84 for stripping it out and converting to weidu and to EE as I was excited at the prospect of having this in an EET mega installation. Will have a look where I got to with the tidyup. Haven't fed my altered files back into the mod yet at my end so not sure whether I've inadvertently introduced syntax errors. And a little wary in the parts where AGK has changed the original dialogue trees - without which it would probably have been much easier just to port across the dialog file from the original NWN... -

It was a total conversion but paladin84 has reverse engineered it as a BG2EE mod. I had an earlier version up and running on EET. Beautiful looking mod. I will try to help with tidying up the English lines, had started that already but it's laborious. -
I often aim to do more than one run per installation, and take different paths. Do most people do a fresh install for each run? Just curious.

I did this for my own EET install and the only one I've had trouble with is Rediscovery of Kuldahar. The others were just a matter of changing area codes and map icons. -
I was using the term paywall somewhat tongue in cheek, referring to the opportunity cost of having to take Neera in party. I have the EEs (and the originals).

I don't know the BG2EE content for the EE NPCs very well, so that's a useful rundown. I was thinking actually about Adoy's Enclave in BG1EE. The German mod Shuk the goblin has a lot of cute content in that area, but obviously that is all behind a Neera "paywall" at the moment.

Seems fairly clear to me - the readme is classifying a game with all of the "old" large mods as a "megamodification". Old being all the large mods which existed when the map mod was first created. Are you saying you don't recognise the acronyms?

You should be able to simply use the console command C:MoveToArea("ARBGX2") I'm pretty sure I did that on the install where it didn't show up on the map (I must have been using bp-bgt-worldmap in that install). -

I'm also interested in the official line on this as I recall having differing results with the Water Gardens showing up on the map in different installs.
