  1. Yeah, when we get EEFP out the door I'm going to crosscheck the new fixes against BG2FP and IWDFP and see what can be backported.

    Enhanced Edition Fixpack

The Enhanced Edition Fixpack (EEFP) is a community project aimed at fixing bugs in the Enhanced Editions of Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Icewind Dale, and Planescape: Torment.

    BG2 Door Fixes

From the album: Enhanced Edition Fixpack

Pre-Fixpack for each area is on the left, corrected by Fixpack on the right. Two different fixes are shown here. In Firkraag's maze (second image, bottom row) and the Spellhold maze (third image, top row) the clickable area for the opened door did not match the actual door graphics, so the region was redrawn correctly. In the other six areas, the opened door had no clickable region at all, meaning it could not be selected and closed. In these cases, a clickable region is added.

    BG2 Ust Natha Stairs

From the album: Enhanced Edition Fixpack

The clickable area for the stairs to the Ust Natha upper levels were way off. EEFP moves these regions to coincide with the actual doorways.
  5. Journal entry headers are set by the LUA; this journal entry shows up under "Important Events" in 2.6.
  6. I think the two "debatable" changes are solid. All of these are in.
  7. This is fixed in the breakout thread. Launchers that generate their own ammo--specifically Tansheron's Bow, Shortbow of Gesen, Sling of Seeking, Firetooth (regular and upgraded)--override the projectile of loaded ammo. This means that, for example, normal arrows in Tansheron's Bow can bypass Protection from Normal Missiles. Removing the projectile from the launcher headers fixes this.

    Possible issues !

The rest are issues which should be posted for @lynx in the IESDP forum.

    Possible issues !

This is an unused 1pp item, but it's fixed anyway. Luke or DavidW got this already as part of the redundant opcodes and/or paralyzation fixes. This is fixed, but doesn't really matter. This is the magic missile spell that Imoen uses in the cutscene in the Promenade. Also fixed, but it would be pretty rare to encounter: Mazzy would have to use her strength spell when level drained below level 7 to see this. These are fixed. Also reviewed and fixed these on BGEE/SoD (except bhaal1a, which isn't there) even though most of them are unused. Committed.
  10. Well, that's up to how the translators want to handle it. If you're more comfortable working in BD's translation tool, then keep doing so and we can generate an updated GTU/infinity.tph from BD's tool prior to any releases. On the other hand, I could generate the files once as a starting point, and then you could work from the tra files instead like a regular WeiDU translation.
  11. Updated the original post with information about how to update the language-specific LUA files via infinity.tph.
  12. So I wanted to add one more option here for the original BD translation teams: at @Cahir's request, I've kludged together a tool that can generate a starting Game Text Update by comparing the current strings in the Beamdog translation tool vs. the current game release (3.1.4 for PsTEE, 2.6 for the rest). I've used it to generate a Polish-language GTU--or a first draft, at least. edit: Now have tools for the Infinity Strings DB, too.
  13. By request, I've added linkable anchors (the small link icon) to each section in the docs, and made a second pass for formatting.
  14. Cheers, it's been added to the docs and gallery.

    Baator Map fix

From the album: Enhanced Edition Fixpack

The Baator map (AR1000) should be populated with more enemies as it was in the original PsT
  16. I've been spending the last week on documentation, woo! Available off the main project page, you'll now find: An EEFP gallery BGEE/SoD fixes BG2EE fixes IWDEE fixes PsTEE fixes edit: now current as of November 8, 2022. If you spot typos or grammar mistakes, let me know. For the devs, specifically @Luke, @argent77, and @DavidW: the goal is to write the docs to be accessible to players, so I end up glossing over some of the finer details. Please review the stuff I've written for your fixes and make sure I haven't done a too much glossing--or rewrite them to your heart's content if you so desire. Feel free to post here with corrections or submit pull requests for changes (the pages are sourced from the HTML files in the repo's docs folder). If you have an image and/or descript update for the gallery, unfortunately that has to go through me.

    Pillar of Skulls

From the album: Enhanced Edition Fixpack

A fix for PsTEE: the shadow for the Pillar of Skulls was not being displayed properly
  18. From the album: Enhanced Edition Fixpack

Summoned lizardmen had weapons equipped, but they were not visible.
  19. When it was revealed that the EEMS author lied about getting permission to update Amber, it was pulled from EEMS and deleted from Github. Only to be silently re-added to EEMS two weeks later from a brand-new Github account named MattyGroove.
