kiwidoc_again Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 My memory has been gradually failing me ov er the last decade, so I apologise for being an idion It's been so long since I have needed to use modmerge, I was wondering if the new versions of BGII:EE make it unecessary. Do you still need it for Gavin? If so can you tell when I need to install it, or perhaps link me to the idiots guide to modmerge. Quote
CamDawg Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 DLC Merger is the current solution to the problem. You need it if both of these are true: A BGEE game with SoD It's from GOG or Steam If you bought BGEE/SoD direct from Beamdog, for example, you don't need it. Quote
jastey Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 And for BGII:EE you don't need it at all. Quote
kiwidoc_again Posted February 25, 2022 Author Posted February 25, 2022 Many thanks for such a prompt and helpful response. I bought BG2EE direct from BeamDog, so that's why I haven't needed to use modmerge. Quote

No. It's because, like already said, the DLC merger is for BG1EE+SoD, not for BG2EE. Now, you would need the DLCmerger for BG2EE, if you also had the game mentioned and you intended to install the EET, but there again, you need it for the other game(BG1EE+SoD), so you can import that games data to the BG2EE game...
