[MOD] Dark Tidings - a quest mod for BG2

@Acifer hello, just got the following error when trying to install on oBGT;

ERROR Installing [Dark Tidings V 2.0], rolling back to previous state
Will uninstall 520 files for [Tidings\Setup-Tidings.tp2] component 0.
Uninstalled    520 files for [Tidings\Setup-Tidings.tp2] component 0.
ERROR: Sys_error("Tidings/lib/add_worldmap_tbl.tpa: No such file or directory")
Please make a backup of the file: Setup-Tidings.debug and look for support at: Acifer
Automatically Skipping [Dark Tidings V 2.0] because of error.
Using Language [English]
[.\dialog.tlk] created, 294443 string entries
NOT INSTALLED DUE TO ERRORS Dark Tidings V 2.0

 

I've attached the debug.

Any ideas or is it me doing something daft (happening more than usual at the moment it seems)?

Version 1.4 installed ok on a previous install but I didnt get to play this mod because of other errors. Looking forward to trying it.

removed debug as no longer needed and taking up space

Did you also installed all the requirement listed in the readme ?

"Please note: For the original (Vanilla) non-EE version of
BG2-ToB, you need a full installation of "Infinity
Animations" and a partially installation of "One Pixel
Productions (1PP)" before you install this mod.
For "1PP", the following component is needed:
Extended palette entries -> Full install

Dark Tidings checks if the two mentioned mods are
installed if you're trying to install the mod on a Vanilla

That was completely my fault. I switched back and forth between oBG2 and BG2EE until I messed up a file.

I uploaded a new version. It should work now. Sorry!

Yeah I did actually check the readme properly for a change, and I'm following BWP pdf v20.1 as install order so I thought it was hopefully in the right place in relation to other mods. And yes those required mods are already installed. Thanks for having a look.

I am glad to hear that! The error only occurred with BGT. I hope you can enjoy the mod now.

The mod updates to V 2.1

Changelog:

Due to a missing file, the worldmap of the version 2.0 of the mod could not be installed for the Baldur's Gate Trilogy (BGT). This bug has been fixed.

This looks like a really interesting mod but I *just* got a stable mod configuration working and have started an EET run. So, what are the odds this installer could be run at the end followed by another incarnation of EET_End not borking my current game? Would SCS or any other spell tweaks break due to added content? If so, I will keep an eye on this mod for my next run.

Either way, it's exciting to see brand-new mods for this old game!

I'm not an expert in EET or SCS, but I don't see too many problems here. The mod simply adds NPCs to an existing area. The rest of the mod runs separately from the main game. However, the mod (so far) does not benefit from the increased difficulty of SCS, as all creatures come with their own scripts. The worldmap of Irphong for EET might be misplaced, but since this is only a cosmetic addition anyway, as you access the new areas via script, this shouldn't be a problem either.
