EndlessBG1 - Functions not installed

Recommended Posts

The install order is EndlessBg1 -bg1re and that's impotant for the "Scar' Return" bonus quest. Where did you get the dependnecy that bg1re should be installed before? It's not correct.

... It is not clear that is why i asked for confirmation. That is also why i have been starting to note where my informations come from in my EET guide.

Hi, I'm posting here but I'm mot sure this bug concerns EBG1.

In my current EET playthrough, when I reached the exit to Undercity in the thieves maze, Winski wasn't there.

I tried to summon it via the console and :

If I create him near the exit, I can't talk to him ("Winski appears busy") and he disappears just after. If I try again the console, he doesn't appear again.

If I create him elsewhere in the maze, all is fine, and the special dialogue with Dynaheir from BG1 NPC Project plays fine.

Here is my weidu log :

How does the mod handle removing characters from the party, once you begin the transition between BG1 and SOD? I had Neera in the party at the end of BG1, and I can't find her at the usual location in Bridgefort. I'm wondering if it somehow transports her directly to BG2 instead. No other Neera-related mod affects this part of her, as far as I'm aware.

Weidu log is below, if needed.

@Belegur EndlessBG1 uses the original "NPC leave group at the end of BG1" scripts. It doesn't affect where the NPC will appear again.

EndlessBG1 comes pretty late in your install, though. The recommendation is to install it early, and before NPC mods. Same for Imoen4Ever, and also Almateria's restoration Pack should go early afaik. These wouldn't explain why Neera isn't inside the fort, though.

Was Neera dead at the end of BG1? Because in EET she will not appear if she was.

No, all party members were alive at the end. Since I've now progressed to BG2, BG1 Neera shows up in the expected place. I generated a new copy of Neera to play the SOD component, but I know for sure the one in the Bridge District is the BG1 version due to the slightly different weapon proficiency levels.

Thank you very much for the mod, it really feels more natural to deal with Sarevok before entering tales of the sword coast, and not being able to loot him always frustrated me.

I encountered one serious bug : when I returned to the ducal palace after killing Sarevok and approached Belt and Liia, one of her contingency triggered to cast cloudkill. After being hurt by the spell, Belt, then Liia, turned hostile. This reproduced on every attempt I made,  preventing me from continuing the game. The best workaround I found was to add Liia to the party by Ctrl+Q and send her to the basement (hope that won't break anything in SoD).

I guess this has something to do with SCS. I *think* some of my party members got hit by confusion during the fight against the dopplegangers, but this didn't turn any allies hostiles. Weidu logs are below if needed.

Also, not a bug but maybe some room for compatibility improvement : I noticed Sarevok's armor and helm are not modified by Item Revisions.

@Nehreis thanks for the kind words. Liia in the basement shouldn't be a problem in SoD, she has a different cre file alltogether.

For the described behavior, I have absolutely no idea how I would prevent that from EndlessBG1's side. If I understand correctly, this sounds like her fighting script went haywire, making her cast a spell that hurt Belt. EndlessBG1 doesn't change the cre files or their fighting scripts. The only thing EndlessBG1 could have done here is giving time for the spell to unfold where the original game would already be over.

If this is EndlessBG1's "fault" or there is a way to clear any leftover spells etc upon the PC's return I'm happy to include it, but I wouldn't know how. Would this be done by some ClearActions(O:Object*) command of sorts?

I'd be grateful for any help with this. I have no idea how to prevent it, I don't even know what makes a spell trigger, well, trigger.

Thanks for reporting. This is one of the things that will be solved eventually. Thankfully, it seems a rather special case.
