Bri Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Okay, I know that this will inevitably come up, so here is the question: Do you intend to allow the maichar to romance both at the same time? My own feeling is that I hope it won't take place. Then it would really strike someone as some fanboy's wet dream. (I mean, if someone else uses Shadowknight or what have you, then you can't do anything about that.)
BevH Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 The plan is that it will work the same as the Bioware 3. So I guess yes at first you'll be able to romance both, but a time will come when a choice will have to be made before the romance continues.
Bri Posted March 17, 2004 Author Posted March 17, 2004 You're right, there would be some early crossover. Ugh, that was poorly phrased on my part. I guess I meant to say, "I sure hope you don't plan on allowing the MainChar to get a threesome."
Grim Squeaker Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 You're right, there would be some early crossover. Ugh, that was poorly phrased on my part. I guess I meant to say, "I sure hope you don't plan on allowing the MainChar to get a threesome." Don't worry thats not gonna happen. If anything then these romances will reach conflict faster as they'll be bitching to each other, being sisters and all...
Dancer Fitz Posted March 17, 2004 Posted March 17, 2004 Yes, I second Grim. And because of that, even after you choose one you'll still have to deal with the other occasionally. Though it's likely Keli will probably help the PC out, especially if it means settling down her sis, where Inara will probably just be a nuisance. We'll see, though. We're focusing on the individual romances first.
BigRob Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 I'd hate to see the horror that would ensue if the PC tried romancing both sisters at once. Actually, I think I'd find it pretty funny. Will there be a way for the PC to let the "passed over" sister down gently? I've got a feeling that all kinds of chaos would erupt if a certain sister was let down too sharply.
BevH Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 You seem to indicate that a "certain" sister would have a temper tantrum or something. I mean just because she's a teenager... Hmm... what would she do...
Loké Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Actually I imagined Your sister causing more trouble. No offence, but you're probably not experianced enough to know many ways of causing bother.
BigRob Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I'd hate to get either of them angry. Emotionally injured teenager with a blunt object and the skill to use it or woman scorned with a pointy thing and the skill to use it. Not much to choose from there..... and then there's the harsh words and frosty glares.
Amazor'dra Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Would the sister who gets turned down try to seduce the PC back to try to take the PC away from the other sister?
Grim Squeaker Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Would the sister who gets turned down try to seduce the PC back to try to take the PC away from the other sister? No. They might be rather annoyed and end up in the arms of another NPC but they won't try and steal Charname from their sister, once Charname has made his/her choice.
Dancer Fitz Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Though Inara wouldn't be above a little light flirting to annoy her sister.
BevH Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Though Inara wouldn't be above a little light flirting to annoy her sister. I thought of that, but was too polite to say anything...
Loké Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Or perhaps not so frosty glares... How about one of you sister's eyes glow...? ...nah. ::shakes head::
