Who's Corrupted, who's dead?

Although necromancers can be any alignment, most of them are gererally portraited as/are evil. Maybe you can allow Imoen to shift to a thief/necromancer specialist mage rather than simply remove the mage class altogether, and allow her to gain control over some of her taint.

I think I like "Imoen the dabbler in Dark Magic" more than "Imoen the Assassin"; in many ways it's more of a fall than just going back to her rogue days, and it makes her more powerful and therefore more of a threat.

Plus, it avoids "I lost my magic" dialogs. :suspect:

This is just an idea that one can toy with, and I am sure you have different planes from my suggestion.

BTW, An issue that will arise by changing portraits, is compatibility with the NPC Damage mod; so keep that in mind please.

You know guys, the one thing I refuse to worry about - and I know it is mean - is the compatibility with other mods. So no Kelsey corruption, no "what if Chloeeromances PC/Imoen?" etc... I just do not have a sufficient knowledge or interest to try to factor all these mods in. So it will be tested on vanilla BG2SOA. If it is incompatible, it is incompatible... I need to keep the scope managable.

Well, technically you cannot dc into a kit; plus I belive that pure rogue will suit her a bit better after corruption (and I count on these I lost my magic convos...) I'd also drop her intelligence a tad to remove her dual-classing ability after spell-hold

Well, with scripting stuff then you ccan DC to a kit (Like in the NPC Kit Pack). ON the no dual-classing thing, you could change her a kit that looks exactly like a thief (or whatever) but you remove the dual-classing ability... (Like Lucy did with Chloe's Kensai kit)

Well then can we turn her into a bird and let her fly away? :suspect:

You know, I just thought - I might just do it as an alternative to killing Aerie - I will allow the PC to wrestle the control from MV if her Constitution and Intellegence are sufficient, and turn her into a bird who flies away. That can be a nice touch. I will think on that. :)

Well, and the other factor is that--at a minimum--you need permission from the other authors before you start adding/expanding/altering their characters.

Exactly, that is part of the reaosn why I will not commit to it - it will require more management/communications than I would like to invest.

Yep, I can, but I'd rather cut her intelligence; she was driven to madness after all, cut and pounded upon by Irenicus and his cronies.

Necromancers don't have to be evil.

There are 3 kinds: Analyst necromancer (studies of organ function and change before, during, after death and reanimation)(mostly LN, some CN)

Power Necromancer (secrets of the dead, stealing treasure)(evil)

Spiritualist Necromancer (wanting to know thoughts of the gods, physical look and feel of the planes & petitioners)(neutral or good)

Immy would go evil mage...I hope ;) Nalia, yes finally! But remember, she would be really power-hungry, and beauty is power. So don't make her ugly. ANd I think Jaheria isn't that far from becoming a Shadow Druid, especially if she thought it could help with revenge for Khalid.

There is a reason; some things Jaheira had allegedly done to PC, MV cannot forgive. On author's level, I am impartial to the character and have no interest in dealing with her. I'd also like to emphasise that MV never "saves"; corruption is not his mission. His goals are much more egoistic.
