  1. @jastey hello, I've just had a look back through an old thread where i mentioned an issue with the merchant league and the only thing i can see is that you pointed out that I was using an older version. So I remembered it wrong, sorry. I am using the newest version on this install, or it was at the time anyway. I seem to have both the original quest and the modified one from Jarl running at the same time. I helped him with the druid problem in cloakwood. Then when i got to Baldur's gate he was waiting where he normally is and starts the quest. Then, once i was in the Merchant league building Deagan approaches, on the 1st floor and says to meet him in the 3 old kegs. Going there means you speak to Aldeth again and then, if agreeing to help, transports you back to the Merchant's League. There are then 2 Aldeth's in the building. Which is an improvement on the last time when there ended up being loads. Not sure what's happened this time. I'll finish the quest and see what happens, thanks.   2. Hello @Salk your mod is already on my list of stuff to add to my next install, looks good. Yeah i know i've got a lot of stuff and the potential for serious issues increases becaause of that. So far nothing major has gone wrong, just little things, except the lag from portable containers but I can manage that just about. I dont have as much time as I'd like to play the game so I'll keep this install going for a while yet though i've started planning the next one. Planning and then actually doing the install and testing things can take a really long time. I'll probably thin it out as i try different mods and sometimes find I don't like them, usually a personal taste thing. More stuff will get added too. Trying to find the stablest install with the most extra content, mostly extra stuff to do. @Graion Dilach thanks for the answers. I removed the Race and General scripts from XVARTPRE and the SCS script is now being used. Only an minor issue i know, and it was mostly curiosity as to why it wasnt working but thanks for the fix. I'm planning my next install so i'll tweak the order/split DSotSC to take into account what you've said. That FMC is one of the drow characters found at the end of DSotSC. She does have her own custom script - DSJABB. It references priest spells but she doesnt have any known or memorized so I don't think its doing much. For my next install, if I were to remove the script from the .CRE once DSotSC was installed, am i right in thinking that when I get to installing SCS it would add priest spells and then assign a relevant script? Using NI to search my current install, the vast majority of creatures with the F/M/C class are demons. Fighting a 15/15/15 FMC in BG1, with a SCS script might also be a bit of a nightmare, guess i'll find out at some point. Thanks for the help both
  3. edited the 1st post so it hopefully actually makes sense, and added more info to some of the questions. Got another issue - icons stuck on portraits and record screen. I accidentally used a cursed/spoiled healing potion (either DW#PTN25 OR POTN25) and now Ajantis has the 'cursed' icon showing on his portrait and character record. Right clicking on him lists effects and includes curse but he doesn't seem to actually be under any negative effects and the option for Break enchantment is greyed out when I've gone to a temple to get it removed. Casting break enchatment via a scroll isnt removing it either. How do i remove the icon and why is it getting stuck in the first place? Jaheira also has a 'Sleep' icon on her portrait and character record screen. Right clicking to list effects affecting her doesnt list sleep. I'm pretty sure this is leftover from a spell but I have no idea when it appeared, what sepll or who cast it. Again, how can i remove it? Edit something in NI? I tried editing Ajantis (the one in my save game) but this just caused a crash to desktop so i did something very wrong. Thanks
  4. Hello. I’ve got a load of questions about my current BGT install with far too many mods. I’m probably going to ramble on a bit so thanks in advance to anyone that actually reads this. Install order based on BWP PDF 19.2 with 260 ish mods being installed. The mod versions installed were the newest ones at the time, around December 2022. Some have already been updated since then which might have fixed a few of the issues. Main differences in install order compared to the PDF are that I ended up installing Ascension much earlier as it wouldn’t install properly when I tried it where suggested in the PDF, and I also moved The Calling earlier and added Lava’s Bridge’s Block mod which isn’t mentioned in the PDF because its relatively new. I manually applied a lot of the BWP fixpack fixes prior to installation as running the fixpack in my ‘extracted mods’ folder wasn’t getting all the fixes applied. Installation was via Project Infinity, the install sequence is about 1350 lines, which is probably far too many mods. Project Infinity issue - not copying some files Editing VCv21.tp2 Stuff that isn’t quite right - BG1 part (this is up to finishing the getting into Baldur's Gate proper, includes bonehill); 1. Stuttering/lag/the thing I whinge about a lot - its still happening but OK with just 1 bag/container. I tested for this problem a lot during the install and it didn’t seem to be happening. But I was only checking for items added to a bag of holding. Once I’d finished the install and was actually playing the game I found that adding a scroll to any container started the problem. It’s nowhere near as bad this time but putting any type of scroll in a scroll case is problematic. And then it started happening with potions in potion cases too. Bunging everything in one bag of holding seems to be ok though. Weird I know. 2. Khalid’s sounds (soundset?) are wrong 3. Tweaks Anthology - NPC pairs can separate/send npcs to an Inn - Khalid and Jaheira can be separated but there’s only a dialogue option for Khalid to go to an inn, nothing for Jaheira, she just stays where she is when you kick her out and can rejoin when you speak to her. 4. Baby wyvern animation changed to adult wyvern 5. The items added by Igi’s item mod don’t seem to be affected by the mods I’m using to reducing the value of stuff, so you can make loads of money selling the arrows and potions it adds to creatures, might not bother with it next time, takes 45 minutes to install too. Any ideas why they aren’t being affect? Im pretty sure the tweaks to prices are after the items are added. 6. In my current play-through the Oublek/Brage quest has gone wonky, Oublek has disappeared and Brage’s sister didn’t turn up outside the temple. I think this has been fixed in the newest version of Brage’s Redemption. 7. Infinity animations (710 // More Planescape: Torment Animations25% of relevant non-joinablesv5 BWP Fix) changes affecting NPC class, leading to unintended reputation loss when killed. 8. DSotSC item DSCHAN04.ITM (Armour of the Sukien) not protecting against all poison attacks 9. Xvart shamans (shamen?) aren’t casting spells, but the Xvart monks are; Xvart monk - SVXART, Override script - AGRANDCL.BCS, Default script: DW#PR299.BCS Xvart Shaman - XVARTPRE, Override script - AGRANDBR.BCS, Race script BPWDASGT.BCS, General script XVART.BCS, Default script: DW#PR354.BCS Which script would take priority? I've run changelog on both ; Mods affecting XVARTPRE.CRE: Mods affecting SXVART.CRE: Why isn't STRATAGEMS\SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ 0 6000 // Smarter general AI34.3 affecting the shaman? Could that be the reason why they don't use the script added by smarter priests? 10. Zhurlong seems to have vanished before his quest was completed 11. Oompah the exploding ogre isnt spawning properly when he’s supposed to attack you. He’s standing where he normally is to begin with, speaking to Gazib makes him explode like normal, then on the 3rd time he doesn’t appear. Gazib has dialogue like he should but then nothing. Not really sure where to start looking at this. Area script? 12. Compatibility issue between Garrick Tales of a Troubador and Level1NPCs component 51 // Balanced BG1 NPC attributesmos_anted's revisionv3 13. Gavin’s spellbook has 3 ‘Cause Serious Wounds’ spells to pick from. I think this is from SSR and IWDification. SPPR414 and SPPR430 14. MiH_EQ is changing xp and alignment of mist and poison horrors 15. Protection from Electricity scroll, SCRL5T.ITM, is undroppable. Not sure how to manually fix this myself. 16. Sphere of Chaos - showing as lvl 6 spell for JA#TAY01.CRE but checking spwi711.spl its lvl 7? 18. How does SCS account for F/M/C enemies? Jabress (DSJABB.CRE) is f/m/c but has no cleric spells, checked with changelog and never had any to start with. Should SCS add these? Not sure how many f/m/c enemies there are in the game, so it might not account for them? 19. I'm getting both the Jarls adventure pack and original versions of the Merchant League quest Any help greatly appreciate. There will be more questions soon too. Thanks

  6. I think you'll need to upload a copy of WAND10.ITM aswell. That will be the file modified by Scales of Balance. WAND10.00003.ITM is the file Scales of Balance applies its changes to, resulting in what would be WAND10.00004.ITM if any further mods made any changes. You can copy the WAND10.0000#.ITM files, created by using the changelog tool, into your override folder and look at them in NearInfinity to see what changes the mods have made too. Just remember to delete them again before playing the game.

  8. @temyankee the v8 sphere system causing a crash is a known issue. ToToR has a fixed version, there's a link for it further up this page. Or were you using that when you got the crash?
  9. I misunderstood then. I've got a party nearly to the end of BG1, i'll let you know if anything goes wrong re Breagar at the start of BG2. When i did add Breagar, in BG2, the stutter/lag thing I've whinged about before was pretty bad. I think I checked with the stutter debug tool and nothing showed though. I'll retest that when I have time too. Thanks
  10. I had that happen in my current install (BGT). Started a new BG2 game and found him on the first floor, i think near the 2 inactive golems. I can start a new game and check again if it would help? Or I've misunderstood and thats where he's meant to be in anew BG2 game

  12. @AL|EN i'm not sure if that ended up being my current install or if I started again. It took 7 or 8 attempts to get everything how I wanted it. I'll have a check tonight. If I don't still have it I can try recreating the install and seeing if the same thing happens. I'll let you know thanks
  13. @Aryene You need to extract the fixpack into your extracted mods folder. But even running it there doesn't seem to apply all the fixes to all the potential mods it could. I had the same problem with vlads compilation. The only ways I've found are to either open the planar sphere mod folder found in the fixpack folder and use the contents to manually edit the files in the actual planar sphere mod folder. Notepad++ with the weidu language add on thingies, that possibly argent77? made, really really help with this. Or, if you have an original bg2 install, do a bwp install with the minimum mods plus any you want patched and that will apply all relevant fixes. Then you just need to copy the tp2 file and any others that get changed from that install and replace the one in your extracted mods folder with it, and probably keep a copy out the way somewhere. If that makes sense. It's a bit of a ballache but if you're just doing a bg2 install, not bgt, and with only a few mods it doesn't take that long
  14. The most up to date version of SCS works fine on my current BGT install. Plus there's just been a new versions of BGT (weidu) released and Leonardo has just made a new version of BWP so yeah people are still playing the original versions.
  15. It worked. I changed SPIN128's 206 effect to target 2 and ghasts are now working without a crash. I'll try the same on the ghoul lord one. Thanks for your help everyone

I was wrong, it wasn't MIH_IP\SETUP-MIH_IP.TP2~ 0 0 // Made in Heaven: Item Packv6 that was the problem It was MIH_EQ\SETUP-MIH_EQ.TP2~ 0 0 // Revised Corporal Undeadv5.1 That changes the script to MH#GHAST which references SPIN128 GHAST_STENCH but that just shows as no such index in NI. So i changed the MH#GHAST scripts back to ghast.bcs on the various ghast .CREs and everything is working. I noticed a similar issue with ghoul lords while looking at this, same thing; script changed and the new script points to SPIN957 GHOULLORD_FEAR which also has no such index. But for this one i edited the bcs, removing the first bit referencing SPIN957 and that also worked. @Angel hello, not sure if this is a compatibility problem between the original engine games and the EEs or my install just went wonky but the corporal_undead component of Made in Heaven: Encounters & Quests v5.2 changes ghasts to use a script thats only a couple of lines (see the spoiler above), relating to ghast stench which then doesnt seem to exist in my game. I'll have a check to see if anything else has changed those files after they were added but just thought i'd let you know. Thanks
  20. Hello. Something has broken ghasts in my current install. BGT install with lots of mods. Problem first happened when I tried using Tiax's summon ghast ability. The casting animation works, the ghast then appears, then the game crashes. TobEx log has following error; ASSERTION FAILED! I copied GHASTS.00002.CRE into the overide folder, renamed it to GHASTS.CRE and tried using Tiax's abilty in game and it works normally. I then deleted that file and copied GHASTS.00003.CRE into the overide folder, renamed it to GHASTS.CRE and tried using Tiax's abilty in game and it crashes. I've had a look at both files in NI but can't see anything obvious. If anyone fancies taking a look that would be great, i've attached all the change-log generated files for GHASTS and WeiDU log.   24. Hello I'm getting the following error when trying to install the first component of Ascension. I get the same error with versions 2.0.23 , 2.0.15 and 2.0.14 Im using BWP pdf 19.2 as the base for the install order. Ascension is a lot later in the istall sequence than previously. Weidu log upto this point; I've used NI to export AR6200.baf Line 1100 in that file is; RESPONSE #100 I've attached the ascension debug and AR6200.BAF Anyone got any ideas?
