  1. About using Shadowkeeper and using GemRB saves - save (assertion) failed to load in vanilla engine issue. There is possible workaround. I only tested that workaround without leaving Candlekeep so this is not bullet proof workaround in any way. 1) I started new game in vanilla engine saved. 2) Loaded save in Shadowkeeper so I can be sure it is not broken 3) Loaded save in GemRB engine then made a new save 4) Loaded GemRB save in Shadowkeeper all loaded correctly no assertion failed or missing cre signatures 5) Loaded GemRB save in GemRB engine made another new save 6) Loaded that in both vanilla engine and shadowkeeper without any errors. I think it would be wise to start a new game in vanilla engine and then contioune in GemRB to avoid missing cre signature (when loading GemRB save in shadowkeeper) or assertion failed (when loading GemRB save in vanilla engine).
  2. Thank you for quick answers. My mod's story bases on Ajantis being held captive by Fierkraag and the knights in the Windspear Hills being an illusion, so this component of PPG's Quest Pack is not compatible content-wise, and I also don't know how it would play out in-game since the Sir Ajantis Mod also adapts the scene in the Windspear Hills a little. It might well be it is technically compatible, but I never looked at it closely. Basically we don't know how the compatibility will look. I am at stage 10 installing manually BWP. Ajantis BG II and Ding0 Quest Pack are at stage 15 in installation order. I will make game directory backup before installing Ajantis BGII and Ding0 Quest Pack and will let you know how compatibility plays out between Miscellaneous Enhancements from Ding0 quest pack and Ajantis BGII.
  3. From what I get in the readme file Jastey's Ajantis is compatible with: -(needs to be installed first) Smiling Imp's BG1 NPCs for SoA&ToB Ajantis but Jastey's Ajantis needs to be installed last (second) Jasety's Ajantis is partially compatible with miscellaneous enhancements from Ding0 quest pack. Just do not dispel the illusion from the knights because you would encounter Ajantis there - plot hole because Ajantis is held by Firkraag? Jastey's Ajantis is NOT compatible with: -Questpack (PPG): components 'Revised Hell Trials', 'Improved Oasis II' -Skip Chateau Irenicus (from Argent77) -'Sensible Entrance Points' of BGII Tweakpack (G3), independent of install order.
  4. You were right on the money ABlake. 1) I renamed directions as you pointed out using integers 2) Converted Tenya mod using PCU option (3) BG to BGT 3) Copied the mod files from Output folder into BGII - SoA directory 4) Ran BiG World Fixpack.bat 5) Installed the mod manually using setup-TenyaThermidor.exe successfully. Download for the converted BGT version of Tenya Thormidor mod. http://www.mediafire.com/file/ar99e68bb21ae7h/BGT+Converted+BWP+Tenya15c.zip
  5. https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/33291/tenya-thermidor-v1-5/p1 Does anyone have converted BGEE Tenya Thermidor v1.5c mod for BGT? According to BiG World Project 5.21 Tenya can be converted using PSU and then running BiG World Fixpack I am installing my mods manually because I have countless errors with automated installer. I used PSU to convert Tenya choosing option 3) BG -> BGT then copied the mod files from output directory into BGII - SoA main game directory. Then I ran BiG World Fixpack.bat. The dos window indicated that it patched Tenya mod. However mod installation halts because of errors. @ABlake thank you for valuable input.
  6. How do I use console commands with gemrb? Standard cheat codes don't seem to work. I have set EnableCheatKeys=1 in my config file. I want to cheat my way through Irenicus' starter dungeon by giving myself portal key with CLUAConsole:CreateItem("Misc4g") So I can get to second level almost immediately recruit Yoshimo, Drizzt and Kachiko and leave the dungeon in less than 5 minutes to further test my mod setup for potential issues but my damn console don't work and shadowkeeper gives me error. I can't also load the gemRB save with vailla bg2 game. An Assertion failed in ObjCreature.cpp at line number 12244 After I installed components marked red these Shadowkeeper errors started to pop up. Before I could just use shadowkeeper to insert myself portal key. Thanks khelban12 the cheat code for portal key you provided works.
  7. Thank you Jastey for prompt response. DSotSC v3.0 from here https://github.com/K4thos/DSotSC also have overpowered item removal like NTotSC v3.0.0? I went over tra_changes_v3.html found in DSotSC docs folder and many items have been nerfed which is good but I don't know if the update minimized the amount of magical items to be found.
  8. @Roxanne @Jastey https://github.com/RoxanneSHS/NTotSCEET-Interim can I use this version 171 for BGT? I don't want to install northern tales of the Sword Coast v2.3.0 recommended by the BWP guide because BP-Balancer won't be able to purge excessive overpowered items from that mod with version v2.3.0. I cannot find anywhere NtotSC171 for BGT. ///edit: Thank you.
  9. Thanks khelban12 when I get to the installation (full plate & packing steel is fairly late) I will make backup of the directory beforehand and install mod with you recommended instructions.
  10. http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=710 v2 http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=21252 v3 beta Full Plate & Packing Steel mod slows down NPCs in heavy armor and even light armor. It got cool new armor system I really like. How would I go about removing slowing down actors because I noticed playing on GemRB with this mod NPCs just move too slow compared when this mod is not installed. GemRB on BG2 default actor speed and anims lack the vanilla smoothness but are playable once you get used to it. However once you add Full Plate & Packing Steel to your GemRB game it all becomes jelly.
  11. I started anew to arrange my BGT mod install order according to http://www.shsforums.net/files/file/534-big-world-english/ this guide by Watson. According to it I made mistake by installing mega mods after BGT likely my stability issues stem from wrong install order. I also installed NEJ2 which doesn't play friendly with some mods I had. As well there were a few install order related issues and components issues I created. I also checked the savegame created in Lion's Way on both (same setup) moded GemRB and vanilla moded (same setup) baldur. On vanilla moded baldur Xzar and Monty weren't even there to begin with. On GemRB they both were present and ready to join the party but it caused the crash. The problem must have been mod wrong install and/or incompatibilities between NEJ2 and some other mine mods.
  12. I dunno if this is server related issue. Archived version 9 is not available anymore it may be needed for BiG World Project automated installer. /// I noticed many other mods miss their archived versions as well.
  13. I think this is mod install order problem on my part. I installed class kits right after mega mods because I notice they become unusable when I install class kit late in order. I use gemrb-win32-f3174aa version of the gemRB http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=27138&p=262887 Does music work for you correctly? For me it would play me strange tracks like Helm temple music after Gorion gets killed by Sarevok. The first two options Full BG1 or full BG2 Shadow of Amns worked fine but not the one that paches exe. I was also wondering what version of wiedu do you use? In all previous installations I had WeiDU version 24600 with 953 KB size. Mine TobEx Beta 0026 from Spellhold studios installs component ~TOBEX/TOBEX.TP2~ #0 #100 // TobEx - Core: Beta 0025 Yours ~TOBEX/TOBEX.TP2~ #0 #100 // TobEx - Core: Beta 0026 ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯ Could you upload your version the one from spellhold is outdated even if it says 0026.
  14. I dunno why but GemRB doesn't want to display new kit classes from mods. All it display are vanilla 4 kit classes. I am using the same mod setup and on previous setup (bugged one with missing descriptions) it used to display kit classes from other mods. Does GemRB has any cap on dialog.tlk or chitin.key file size? Vanilla Game with TobEx displays all kits from mods. I read that GemRB has same feature as TobEx with class kit slider. Could any mod bugged this feature? I tried different class kit mods like Divine Remixes, Mega Mod Class kits and others. All will show up as empty.
  15. I found out what mod was causing it. Specifically it was one component from Throne of Bhaal Refinements called New HLAs Tables for all classes it could be possible that one of the class kits I use is not friendly with Throne of Bhaal Refinements when run on GemRB together. I listed all my class kits installed for future reference (just for sake of documentation).
  16. No. I get the same speed with vanilla game with no mods. Mods are not to blame here. Even when I crank up the actors' speed with Cheat Engine hackspeed function you still get the (script) lag - delayed dialogue, music hanging in too long etc.
  17. https://youtu.be/Kw12zt8HTpc?t=125 (Sarevko vs. Gorion sequence - slower speed of PC actor in comparison to armor free Gorion is intended by Full Plate And Packing Steel mod) I recorded mine short playthrough with GemRB so you guys can see for yourself if this is lag or how the engine suppose to run. I also installed lolfixer as khelban recommended. https://youtu.be/Kw12zt8HTpc?t=95 Few bugs with weapon proficiency description and missing armor/crossbow/quaterstaff descriptions no big deal I can live with those bugs as I know weapon/armor stats almost by heart. I checked and in vanilla non GemRB game those missing and description bugs are not present. https://youtu.be/Kw12zt8HTpc?t=413 Fight with Hobgoblins and kobolds. ///Edit: I checked my mod setup and vanilla BGII on another PC with Windows 8.1 still the lag is same. So the GemRB with BG II lags on win7, win8.1 and win10.
  18. http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=29684&page=2&do=findComment&comment=263526 Maybe my game lagging on GemRB is the known issue with actor speed I think. http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=28172&do=findComment&comment=246276 Is there way to implement what khelban said? How would I go about it? Would it be possible to set those values in GemRB.cfg or gem-baldur.ini?
  19. This just speeds up the game, it doesn't fix the LAG. It would actually make it worse if there was lag. As it would demand more from already strained workhorse. Now, if you go back and want to actually fix the issue of lag, you should also perhaps actually say what FPS you set in the actual game to run at, cause I can't see you playing the game at 75 FPS. or 120 ... Yes, for you to play the game at 30 FPS, you can either set the configuration of the game to be at 30 FPS(probably in gemrp.ini -file), or set the game to run there at 10 FPS, and use the Cheat Enginer to multipy it by say 3. Don't know, about your case, but perhaps in your case it's better to use the cheat engine, as it's likely that it can utilize the computer you have better than the not-cheat engined one. The reason is, that as the game is probably still ran on one processor, not multiple ... the cheat engine can utilize the power of the others. You can't change FPS in GemRB it is hardocded like lynx said before. AFAIR, you can have 10 party members but the game scripts are checking only 6, also no mod support 6+ Party Members. I wouldn't be that sure about it. GemRB engine supports more than 6 objects and you can always ctrl+E your party to flesh out things like banters from time to time.
  20. I found the workaround for lagging issue with GemRB on BGII. 1) Download the cheat engine https://www.cheatengine.org/ 2) Run GemRB.exe then run your Cheat Engine.exe 3) Click on "Select a process to open" in upper left corner - it's a computer icon should be flashing green/brown/red colors for you 4) Pick gemrb.exe from the list 5) Tick/select the box next to "Enable Speedhack" 6) It will depend on your lag for me selecting between 1.75 to 2.5 value for speedhack function worked the best. If the value gives you still lag or game runs too quick you can always change it midgame while you're playing (TAB + ALT to leave BG2 full screen) The animations are way more smoother still little jerky but vastly playable compared to unplayable lag. Finally I can enjoy 10 person party mod.
  21. Would sending you my entire game directory help you diagnose?
  22. [ResourceManager/ERROR]: Couldn't find 'kobolsu.bcs'. [ResourceManager/ERROR]: Couldn't find 'CLABMA01.2da'. [ResourceManager/ERROR]: Couldn't find 'wqMS1ca.bam'. I listed those who like to repeat itself a few times. No. 30 FPS in vanilla looks passable but sluggish. When you set FPS to 40 in BGConfig.exe game looks smooth like it was in BG1. You also get walking speed just like in BG1.
  23. In vanilla game you can set up FPS in configuration ranging from default 30 to 60. I would want to do something like that in GemRB. Famerate in my GemRG shows between 25 - 29/30. Maybe increasing framerate alone will help cure the lag. For example like? ///Edit: This is my config. Maybe I am doing something wrong in there and get lags...
  24. http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=29687&do=findComment&comment=263207 As per this post I finally managed to fire up GemRB on unmodded game. The lag still persist although slightly less but you can see major difference between vanilla game and GemRB game. Spell animations stops and then 1 second before finishing casting it appears back - the same goes with combat. The enemy is laying dead on the floor and the killing NPC will give last weapon swing. There are major delays in animations. The heavily modded setup is not here for blame when unmodded game lags. I would appreciate if you tell me how to do it. I want to set it to 40 which is optimal for cutscenes. Setting it to 60 makes everyone run like they are on cocaine.
  25. Found out what was causing black screen. It was my incorrect gemrb.cfg configuration settings. I specified those paths underlined in red. This config gave me black screen cancer. Adding # before the red lines gave me black screen cancer cure. But this is weird. Because I use the same config (only swap folder names) and my old game setup from win7 the one heavily modded works with red paths specified.
