  1. Great job, Bartimaeus. Thanks for sharing.
  2. If I did not have my own customized version , I would surely use Bartimaeus'. No doubt about it.
  3. Great to put a face to jastey too now! Thanks for sharing!
  4. I do not personally like this solution much because of its randomness. Variety is welcome but to me this is still immersion breaking. Why would the AI be partly infallible and partly completely clueless? The only good solution (form what DavidW said it is too complex and requires too much coding to work decently) would be to have the AI learn about party protections by making them first fail in their standard attacks and then learn from their mistake (if intelligent enough to do it). From what I understand instead (someone correct me if I am wrong), the party has a short "grace period" under which the AI is not aware of all the protections. Afterwards the AI becomes omniscient. Personally, I rather keep the AI "dumb" because I find it is still preferable to the default alternative.
  5. SCS gives the user the opportunity to customize a file entry (note: the author offers no support for this) that would make, among the other things, the AI ignorant about your equipped items and protections. Open stratagems.ini with notepad and change the following entry from 0 to 1: AI_Does_Not_Detect_Items 0 Of course this means the AI will never learn from first failing in their attacks against protected party members.
  6. I don't mind further developments will only apply to EE (which I doubt I am going to play, at this point). I only hope that SR and IR will be as stable as they can be in the current incarnation also for the original games.
  7. kreso, will there be a new SR update soon? I am just waiting for that and, hopefully, a new version of SCS before starting a new playthrough.
  8. Great! Thanks for stepping up, kreso!
  9. A lot of the other kit abilities, namely the cleric kit stuff, also fell down at lower levels for the same reason. They're also fixed in the new beta core. Sorry for the false alarm. And to think I read each line of that change log...
  10. CamDawg, if I am not mistaken the Inquisitor's spell Dispel Magic (SPCL231) is missing the header for levels 1-5. This affects BGT players and may be corrected by the Fixpack (I reported it also to the SR forum but I think it belongs here).
  11. How do they get messed up in the first place? The spell originally is cast only by BG2 characters that start at a higher level.
  12. kreso, locally I fixed the lack of headers for the Inquisitor's Dispel Magic (SPCL231.SPL) for levels lower than 6. It is just for the benefit of BGT/EET players, I guess... Would you mind fixing this on your side too?
  13. Good job, kreso. I would really offer you that beer... leat09.itm has also wrong usability flag, by the way.
  14. kreso, did you also fix that slew of bugs reported by Bartimaeus?
  15. The download link is not working for me (404).
  16. Is there anything particularly wrong with the current version? It is freely available, it even has an up-to-date readme IIRC, and it has fewer bugs than most mods with "official" releases. Is it so important to just see the words "final release?" I think it is a matter of what we define "wrong". To me, IR feels (like the other Revisions) sort of a neverending WIP. A number of bugs have been reported a long time ago and even the "Beta" version (the last official one was for 2011!) that is available through indirect means (meaning it is not officially replacing version 3) is not really complete and still has compatibility issues with 1PP material which both I and Bartimaues have tried to address locally. If I did not have my own version to rely on, I would not probably be using IR, be it v3 or the current v4 Beta.
  17. I have been looking forward to this for years. Thanks, CamDawg. And welcome back.
  18. Demi has been AWOL for quite some time now and has not been active for much longer before then. Our hopes rest only with kreso, although I realize that taking care of IR and SR alone is a nightmare.
  19. It is good to provide more variation. Thanks, qwerty1234567.
  20. Yes, I and Bartimaeus are the most vocal supporters of a sensible IR + 1PP integration, although the disintegration ( ) he suggests might work fine as well! I use two small custom made minimods to create the graphic environment I desire and Bartimaeus was kind enough to give me some feedback about how good it works. I am satisfied with where I stand with it so I feel less urgency in promoting a solution now. Unfortunately, it is somewhat BGT specific and it enforces some of my personal preferences, although I would consider them only marginally important.
  21. kreso, about IR, have you checked this list of bugs? Locally, I have remedied most of them (and I made 1PP v4 and IR much more compatible) but my WeiDu coding is poor and messy.
  22. Good news! A new version is badly needed.
  23. Thanks for stepping up in maintaining SR, kreso.
  24. I think it is pretty safe to consider the BG2 Fixpack is no longer maintained by anyone.
  25. Version 1.8 is now out. All familiars use now their innate abilities instantaneously Introduced new Special Ability for Thief/Warrior class familiars: Empowerment Introduced new Special Ability for Mage class familiars: Spell bounce Wraith Form and Phasing abilities added to Spider Warrior class familiars are now immune to Critical Hits Fixed a bug with the Spider's poison resistance Fixed minor incompatibility with Sword Coast Stratagems
