  1. Class and stronghold specific quests in BG1?! Sounds like cool idea and real novelty. Too bad that it isn't compatible with old vanilla BG ( and yes, I agree this is unreasonable request because it involves boatloads of bother for how many players out there ... 10 maybe ) else I would try it immediately. Thumbs up for the idea!
  2. Of course it is possible, you can use those public liaisons as often as you like. But now on the thing that is confusing you, those guys do come back but only after a couple of days ( presumably they gone on grand tour with their new album which is named after your CHARNAME ).
  3. Hi Greenhorn. Sorry, for the issues with the 64-bit WeiDU. There are mods that require 64-bit WeiDU now (e.g., DLC Merger), so I figured using the x64 WeiDU was the best bet. I also wasn't aware Windows was still doing a 32-bit-only version; MacOS went 64-bit over 10 years ago. I'll have to create a new workflow to also create 32-bit WeiDU archives. Hey AstroBryGuy, yes, this issue came as complete ( unpleasant ) surprise for me, never even been aware of this potentially serious problem. I would be very grateful if more modders don't forget and take into account us technologically backward players.

Actually, there are many things which prevent me to upgrade it, I'm not so keen to erase content of whole PC ( even with the backup something can go wrong, it wouldn't be the first time and I can't afford to lose some files from work ) just to upgrade it to its 64 version. But yes, you are right, I'm well aware that time has overrun my trusty old piece of junk of PC. Anyway, I tried second option and it worked like the charm! Thank you for your explanations and help.
  6. Nothing is wrong with the mod itself. Does you Windows 7 is 32-bit or 64-bit ? 32-bit. Why sudden discrimination against it ? There is only one download for Win, as far as I can see.
  7. You know, I thought that I seen it all, but this newest problem with BG1UB left me flabbergasted. So I decided to start new run of vanilla BG:TotSC and naturally downloaded updated versions of mods that I intended to play. When I tried to install BG1UBv.16 windows I saw this: and then all my mods locked up, like this: I deleted any trace of BG1UB in BG folder and installed older 15.2 version which was perfectly fine and unlocked other mods. So what in hell is wrong with v.16?

  9. Thanks for reply ( I didn't even see it until now). I meant first case. So in the nutshell, this means I can safely install them both and error reported for the Improved inventory BAMs mod is fixed?
  10. As requested: As for Khalid's hit points, I tried to investigate exact formula for multi class hit points. I found several ( sometimes contradictory ) explanations. If Khalid's hit points roll as you wrote ( random roll of 1-10 + 3 / 2 for fighter and RR of 1-4 + 2 / 2 for mage classes ) then indeed it is possible for him to roll only 2hp on first fighter level up. One formula specified that constitution hp always give bonus as follows: constitution of 17 for fighter/other multiclass always split hp bonus flat for 2 hp for fighter and 1hp for other class. Hence my confusion on the matter. Thanks for reply and explanation.
  11. "ShoalHit" and all the rest are displayed properly except "LastBug" which is not set at all. Yes, I tried force talking with her and even charmed her ( dangerous task mind you, that damsel is one dangerous femme fatal ) but she never changed her circle from red to blue because global "LastBug" never triggered for some reason. I'm in no position to repeat the quest however, as I ended her suffering on dry land and left the area long ago.
  12. So that GLOBAL is the part of the original game? Ugh, I'm way of the mark here. I thought that was addition from BGFixpack when I saw in IE that her class script only require "ShoalHit" to start reconcile dialogue with player. I play former, BG1TotSC of course.
  13. I think that there is maybe incompatibility between BG1Fixpack and BG1UB. Though maybe BG1UB has nothing with this and it is sole BG1Fixpack fault. When you sacrifice one companion to that nereid after you hit her couple of times she is supposed to initiate dialogue which brings her ogre master Droth to the scene. Unfortunately I never got that dialogue though she tried couple of times to change color of her circle and say something. Even tried to charm her, without effect. Looking what went wrong I discovered that one of the mods change her dialogue to "correct" it and add some nonsensical Global named "Lastbug". It can be seen here: Checking variables with SCKeeper I found Global from original game "ShoalHit" but no trace of "Lastbug". Don't know which mod add that global but I seen that both BG1Fixpack and component 19 of BG1UB try to correct her dialogue. In present form on my install that quest can't be completed, Droth will not appear and you sacrifice one companion in vain. I deeply regret that I didn't follow my original intent to not bother with her and just practice archery on her for nice hefty 5000 EXP.

  15. Not bug per see, but that scroll of animal summoning from Nim Furlwing ( did I misspell it, sorry for my very bad english ) has range only of 1 and target living actor. I run on group of eight Black talon elites in Peldvale and since that scum requires melee approach I decided to buy me some time with the meatshield until I'm able to charge for hand to hand combat. Needless to say that poor mutts get pincushioned not even on halfway through. Nevertheless their sacrifice bought me enough time to finish the job. They will not be forgotten. I suggest to change that scroll to target any point and with the range of 30 or visual range of sight, like most other scrolls.

Yes, seems that author/s of BG1fixpack weren't skilled as some of today's modding wizards ( far from it that I'm not grateful for their hard work too ) and level of knowledge was much smaller then than it is now. Anyway thanks for your continued support and help, your hard efforts of maintaining compatibility for different platforms and removing of numerous mistakes are greatly appreciated.
  17. Hmm, yes, that is probable explanation. Though I don't have Dudleyfix installed, I have BG1 fixpack instead: http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=9019 Although I have this component from certain mod: Selected TWEAKS for BG1 from dudleyville.com: v3.52(108), but it never mentioned anything about Nashkel inns. Well, no big deal, so what if Belching dragon has tavern and inn monopoly in northern Amn? Thanks for your explanation.
  18. I honestly don't know is this leftover from vanilla or simple mistake in BG1UB but both taverns in Nashkel are called Belching dragon. The northern one on the entrance when you first enter Nashkel should have sign "Northern star". Both taverns when you drink in them are also called the same.

  20. I repeated this maybe 10 or so times on different places, maybe this time someone will take it into account. Red sheaf bartender in Beregost is the Amnish spy! If somebody checked his rumors it will be plain as day that this fellow is Nashkel born and Nashkel bred. Small correction in "Store, Tavern and Inn Fixes and Restorations" will certainly fix this small oversight. This was found in BG:TotSC TOS GOG edition.
  21. I got this error when tried to install Separate Resist Fire/Cold Portrait Icon into Separate Icons: Probably not Anthology fault though, maybe item in question is wrongly coded or whatever. Also I think Khalid's hit points from "Khalid fighter-mage" component are messed up, if he starts F/M level 2/1 he should have more than measly 12 points. Fighters 10 + mage 4 / 2 + 3 constitution gives him 10 starting hp. If we assume that he got really bad roll on his fighter level up of only 1 hp he should still had minimal of 13 when his constitution bonus is added ( extra 2 hit points ). For the record, on mage level up he got 3 hp putting him currently at 15 hp for level 2/2.

  24. This is a copy of an original area ARD008 aka (AR0508) Durlag's Tower, fire elemental challenge (fourth subterranean level) The area name depends on which game you use. So maybe it can be repaired by making a copy of the mos from that area with the name T-1002.mos. Yeah, thanks although I have no idea what other 3 are. It's not possible to make that out, they're just too small and insignificant. All are copies of original game areas but their size is corrupted. One is a tomb and the others are small inside rooms. No clue. Thank you very much for your insights guys, I will try to sort that out tomorrow.
