    Night Tilesets

    From the album: BG2 Fixpack

The druid grove and the black dragon area in Suldanesselar both have custom, night graphics for the area that weren't being used. These custom night maps have been restored. The left column is the black dragon area and the druid grove at right; maps without the Fixpack are on the top and with Fixpack on the bottom.

Several spell scroll inventory icons were cutting off their right and top edges. The top two rows are spell scrolls from a game without Fixpack, and the bottom two rows with.

This component will restore the SoA logo to the load screens with Throne of Bhaal installed. On the left is the load screen with Throne of Bhaal installed; on the right is the restored Shadows of Amn screen with this component. This component will not work if you have biffed your override folder, a common practice for many large mods.

    Unique Icons [Lava]

    From the album: Tweaks Anthology

[This image is outdated, but is left here so that old links here are not broken. A current preview is available in separate documentation.] Icewind Dale, and to a lesser extent Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II, has a frustrating habit of using the same icon for multiple items, making them difficult to tell apart from one another. Lava has created unique icons for about 200 items in Icewind Dale and about 140 in the Baldur's Gate series. For example, the dozen or so items that all used the icon for the Ring of Protection +1 in IWD now use unique icons. A full display of the icons changed is available in separate documentation.

    Icon Improvements

    From the album: Tweaks Anthology

After image. The case of plenty and an array of mage robes. This component uses a combination of BG, IWD, and BG2 icons to better differentiate armor when it is on the ground. It also restores the inventory icon to the Case(s) of Plenty.

    Icon Improvements

    From the album: Tweaks Anthology

At the top are the default ground icons in BG2. The bottom panel shows the changes with the Icon Improvements component installed. The drow chain icon was added in v10 since a green ground icon wasn't appropriate for their armor. The image is slightly blurry because I've zoomed in.

When your character casts a spell, you get a pretty sequence of colors swirling around their hand depending on the school the spell cast came from. A necromantic spell, for example, looks quite different from creating an illusion. The Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games use different sets of animations for the schools. The Icewind Dale Casting Graphics component allows you to use the Icewind Dale graphics on the Baldur's Gate series of games, whereas the Baldur's Gate Casting Graphics component will do the reverse. Note that this is purely a cosmetic change--the spells themselves function exactly as before.

    Bad Moon Dog Avatar

    From the album: BG2 Fixpack

The avatar for the Moon Dog had serious issues (very pixelated) and is replaced as a bugfix. The original is in the left column and the replacement is on the right. Because the moon dog has a cyclical glowing effect the brightness varies from frame to frame.
