Latest mod install - how'd I do?

I just posted the WeiDU log at Spellhold, and asked if anything can be improved with it (partly because I have a new problem of a CTD whenever I click the Rest button). I forgot to ask over there if biffing anything would improve game performance.

 

Speaking of which, the game now appears to move along as it should (on-screen movement appears more "normal" now than it did before), but of course now there's another problem (the above-mentioned CTD). Add to that the problem that an NPC mod called Chloe isn't working properly, and I currently have no idea how to fix that. I asked about that at Spellhold as well.

 

That's where things stand as of today. The game is still unplayable, due to the inability to let the party rest.

It's not taboo. In fact, if you want to learn more than any person should humanly know about it, do a search on biff -- but only in the Titles -- on http://forums.spellholdstudios.net/

 

Then I think you'll see why those were questions best left for another day (or thread).

I still haven't mustered the bravery to attempt any biffing, but I fixed one CTD issue and created another *L* I changed a file called "temp" to a folder of the same name, ran a test mp game using the ToBMage character, and found that the game works as it should, including the Rest button, where before I got a CTD when I clicked that button.

 

Now, due to some as-yet undetermined conflict, I get a CTD at the Appearance screen when starting a new game and importing any non-human character. "Assertion failed in ChVidImage3d.cpp at line number 629. Programmer says: CVidcell larger than fx" I haven't seen this one before! I just posted about this at Spellhold Studios, but I figured I'd mention it here as well.

I'll check that out, but I believe I've solved the problem! As I suspected some conflict between Moinesse's Avatars, Subrace mod, and 1PP (1 Pixel Productions) mod, I reinstalled Moinesse's Avatars, but that didn't do it. So, I uninstalled 1PP (all but potions). Then I ran another test game, importing the ToBMage character. All went well, but I knew I needed to test with a non-human character, so I started another new mp game, this time importing my favorite character, a female Wood Elf ranger. Everything worked fine in the selection options, the game started up fine, and I've got the test game saved while still in Irenicus' place so I can convert some audio files from other mods that don't get converted to .wav format when I run the installers (hmmm, maybe I should mention that to the creators).

 

The only thing I've sacrificed that's a bummer at all is that I no longer have the shortened CH 1 & 2 cutscenes. I don't recall whether this was part of the 1PP mod, or if it's because some parts of other mods didn't get reinstalled, due to a WeiDU fatal error (too many files open) during that process.

 

In any case, the game appears to function as it should. I even got Chloe out of her starting place without her dying this time!

Well, shoot! I can't find any higher version of Saerileth anywhere to download Someone please point me in the right direction? Not easy to keep everything up-to-date...

According to Saerileth's website v13 is the latest version.

v13 identifies itself as v12 in the WeiDU log and other documentation - you probably have the right version installed.
