Beholder
SDL port is not tested in android 3.0. But I think, it's a not a port problem. SDL does not affect to I/O. Link to comment
Mathizsias
Uploaded screenshots of my game performance and phone info, to show proof of the huge improvement in performance on Gingerbread and a slight overclock: http://img291.imageshack.us/i/snap20110413234845.png/ http://img27.imageshack.us/i/snap20110414000321.png/ http://img193.imageshack.us/i/snap20110414000348.png/ Ignore the ui problems, havent bothered to fix them yet, till the game is actually playable. My earlier claim of 60fps, won't happen with the screenshot program running somehow, it's probably hogging resources in the background. Also, I found that 16bit to 32bit on the phone didn't show a significant increase in graphic fidelity, however it did improve performance by 3-4fps running on 16bit instead of 32bit. 32bit is pointless anway, my particular phone, Desire Z, can't even display 32bit, as can be found on: http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=...re_z_htc_vision - max is 24bit, which isn't supported by BG2. Videos run smooth and no choppy sound, without any modification to the gemrb.cfg settings for audio, I'd make a video, but it's quite late here, so running off to bed, hope I helped! ^^ ##################################################### # Video Parameters # ##################################################### #Screen width Width=800 #Screen height Height=480 #Bits per pixel [Integer:16,32] Bpp=16 #Fullscreen [Boolean] Fullscreen=1 Link to comment
Beholder
Great, I'm waiting new firmware from HTC with Gingerbread! You may use Widescreen Mod to fix graphical artifacts on 800x480 resolution. This works perfectly with GemRB and BG2. Link to comment
lynx
Maybe CyanogenMod is the saviour here and the official distribution is bad? that gui glitch has been fixed post-release. Link to comment
Beholder
Maybe CyanogenMod is the saviour here and the official distribution is bad? No, in this case affects Android version and CPU frequency. Custom firmwares constructed with leaked official cores very often. Link to comment
Mathizsias
Maybe CyanogenMod is the saviour here and the official distribution is bad? that gui glitch has been fixed post-release. I've ran a stock rom for 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) and the performance is about the same. CPU frequency gave me a 10-20% increase in fps, running on stock, my ingame averages around 40-45, while oc'ed varies from 50-60, dependant on the action on screen! Link to comment

Beholder
Where you installed gemrb? Typically external sdcard mounted on Android devices to /sdcard, not to /mnt/sdcard. But SGS has an internal flash too, I don't know how organized storage on this device. Link to comment
