theacefes Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 The forums may be offline temporarily today/tomorrow to do software updates and fix some weird bugs that occurred recently. Thanks for your patience!
lynx Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Just in case it wasn't noticed yet, also the view counts are not being updated. It is clearly visible in recently created threads.
theacefes Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 Huh, that was less painful than it could have been. We should be good now.
theacefes Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 Yes, I have to go in and replace some images that got overwritten.
lynx Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Ever since the update, there are database hickups pretty regularly. Either on the forum level or directly. Unfortunately I'm not alone.
CamDawg Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Database hiccups are because we hit our throttling limit with our host--I think that's more a result of a new influx of visitors (likely BGEE-releated) than anything else.
Dakk Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Is it really traffic-related? I get this message fairly often on G3 now-a-days: --- SQL Error An error occured with the SQL server: This is not a problem with IP.Board but rather with your SQL server. Please contact your host and copy the message shown above. «Return to the index Service Temporarily Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. --- That's from today, and it happens at least a few times a week.
