Take a look at my BGEE mod load order

First playthrough in about 15 years.  Starting with BGEE+SOD.  Saw all the fantastic content and had to go all out with the mods.

If anyone wants to take a look at my install order I'd appreciate it.

I got a couple (maybe 2-4) "Installed with Warnings" but I searched up and confirmed they should be OK.  (Think I got a crash whilst messing around with healing during dying using the Healing Blood ability from Dan_P 's Blood Minister kit.  Though I think it's OK)

What I guess I'm looking for is any advice from those who've tried these mods together.  Mostly so I don't run into the issue of starting a game now and having something game-breaking happen down the line.

I see my mod in there, so I'll weigh in on one point:

That pair is redundant. SCS upgrades Liia's combat script to a standard SCS mage script, and also redoes her spell memorization as a standard SCS mage. My component upgrades her to a script out of SoD. Which, if you're starting from SCS, is probably a downgrade instead and will likely leave her with spells memorized that she doesn't know how to use. Best to remove the jtweaks component and just use what SCS gives her.

Thank you.  This is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for.

And thank you for your mods.

It's wild.  The last time I played this game I was working in a mall, telling people how awesome this game was.

Hey, this isn't advice for install order (others can answer better than me), but since you mentioned a possible crash with Healing Blood (from my mod), what specifically do you mean by "healing during dying"? Thanks. If you don't remember specifically how it happened, that's fine. I'm just trying to see if I can recreate the crash. I spent a couple minutes messing around with Healing Blood on near-death characters, including having the spell process as characters were killed, and wasn't able make it crash/hang yet.

Also, since you were testing the Blood Minister, I'll note that I posted a v3.0 of the Workshop Kitpack a few days ago. Among other things, it has an update for the Blood Minister (gains abilities quicker).

Actually, I am thinking this is not related to your mod now.

At first I believed this was linked to the Healing Blood because the crash happened while I was using it during combat.  I was testing the Wizard Slayer kit against Firebead in Winthrop's Tavern, and my WS got hit with an acid spell before killing Firebead.  As his health ticked away, I used the Transfusion ability on him.  Unfortunately it was not fast enough and the damage tick ended up killing him.  AT the time I assumed it was your mod.

After playing for a few hours (and not even leveling up in order to use Healing Blood @ 2nd), I have crashed multiple times.  And as it turns out, the crashes only occur when one of my characters dies.

So that is the issue now.  As far as I can tell, if any of my characters is killed, the game crashes to desktop.

Your order of the quest mods should give no problem for this selection as far as I can tell:

Quote

NTOTSC
C#ENDLESSBG1
BGQE
AC_QUEST
BST
C#ANOTHERFINEHELL
C#SODBOABRI
FRAMED
BG1UB
CRITTERPARTS
THECALLING

The others I don't know, but as a guess I would install SCS later.

I'd recommend to install "Hidden Gameplay Options" after Tweaks Anthology to get the most out of the mod.

An increasing number of mods also provide a .ini file inside their mod folders which provides some basic information about mod order. Look for the lines with the "Before" and "After" keywords.

Thank you, and thank you for your mods.  Do you have anything specific in mind that should be installed before SCS?  My thought process was all of the rules tweaks I inserted towards the bottom would not effect the AI and scripting or the spell selections/abilities of the things SCS does to the existing creatures/enemies.

Thanks, and again thank YOU for your mods (I'm getting all the big wigs! lol).  Which components stand to benefit by installing post Tweaks exactly?  I assumed most of them were low level changes that didn't apply to what Tweaks does.

Also, I have further tested with my crashing and I still cannot figure it out.  Even if I simply kill one of my (non-protag) characters - with no enemies around - in any location, the game crashes.

What happens "under the hood" whenever a party character dies?  And which mod would interact with that process?

Ugh, I literally cannot play now.  I'm at the Shipwreck Coast regain and just ran into "Shoal the Nereid".  After dialog, she automatically kills whoever I forced to talk to her, and as soon as I un-pause the game to let her revive him and prepare to fight the Ogre Magi, I hear the windows "DING", and the game crashes.  And it always takes about a 'round' after any of my non-protag characters portrait goes grey. Meaning I can pause it just after death and quickload a save to avoid the crash.

Wish I knew how to read the dmp files in my Infinity Engine/crash folder...

And MAN, I wish I could get approval to sign in here.  The posting process as a guest is so hit or miss.  Sorry if duplicate.

This is a new one for me.

In the past, some monsters could crash the game to desktop if you killed them while they were facing certain angles, because there were bad frames in their animation sequences, but I'm guessing your party members have the same animations as other people of the same race and character class, who didn't crash the game upon dying, so it's not likely that's the problem even with graphics mods.

The close-to-one-round delay makes me suspect a script is crashing the game, do any of your mods give party members new scripts (or, in the readme say that party AI needs to be on for the mod to function properly, that means they're reliant on a script for some aspect)?

Did you tried uninstalling "Make Party Members Less Likely to Die Irreversibly" and then check if problem still persist?

What is the problem? Admins can help if there is problem with validation.

When I click Sign In using the name and password I set up a few days ago, it gives me the Awaiting Approval screen.  Says "Your account needs to be approved before you can use the site as a registered member."  And says an email will be sent to my gmail account when this is done.  Have not received anything yet.  I've checked my spam filter and nothing there either.

Not that I'm aware of.  I did install SCS's "Ease-of-use party AI" component.  Though I do not have it set for any of my characters.  In fact I just tested it again with all 6 of my characters scripts set to None, and party AI turned off (it had not been till this point).  But just as before, Shoal the Nereid kills a player character, a round passes, and crash.

No, but I can try it.  Which mod is that part of again?

Edit.  It's Tweaks, I see.  I am currently recompiling after uninstalling it.  Will post after I test again.
