  2. Hi Jarno, Thanks for the reply. I've received these encounters all over the Worldmap - For example, traveling from the Nashkel Mines to Carnival (0 hours).
  3. My Level 1 party fairly regularly encounters the waylaid screen that includes web traps & Ettercaps (or Giant Spiders). Occasionally, I also bump into 2 Wyverns. I know it's easy enought to reload the Auto Save, but anybody happen to know which mod plants these overpowered random monsters out there? The Difficulty setting has nothing to do with it because I turned it down to SCS Basic (far left) and still got the encounters. Weidu log below:

Hi Subtledoctor, In the readme to "Yet Another Revised Armor System", you write: "This also makes changes to Dexterity bonuses: bonuses to AC and thieving skills are increased so that the penalty for wearing armor is more meaningful without being crippling, and the option to go without armor is a bit more reasonable." Just curious if we can get more details. For example, I noticed that Viconia (19 Dex) has a -6 AC modifier, and Finch (13 Dex) has a +1 Missile Adjustment . Is there a table hidden somewhere? Thanks!

  8. Angel, Just completed Mutamin's Garden, and Kivan was able to tap-dance all over using MIH Items: Ring of Anti-Venom Mutamin's Cloak Throw in Korax, and it was just too easy. Perhaps nix/nerf these items? Change Greater Basilisks to use a stronger poison that trumps the ring?

Hi Subtledoctor, Just wanted clarification about Weapon Proficiency Overhaul (WPO): Overall Overhaul, specifically: "However, unusually warriors with an INT score of 14+ receive a "focus training" ability allowing them to specialize in 1 weapon immediately. (NOTE - the focus weapon ability will only appear in EE games of version 1.4 or higher.) And trueclass fighters automatically get an additional weapon of focus, regardless of INT." How does this work with multiclass? For example, a Fighter/Thief w/ INT 15. Thanks!
  10. Hey Angel, Just curious - In the Fire Leaf Forest, did you nerf the Cloudkill scroll to Flame Arrow? I know it's not explicitly listed, but I haven't seen that before. Nerf BG1 Easter Egg Items This replaces some of the easter egg items in hidden containers in Baldur's Gate 1 by valuable but non-magical items. These are the Ring of Wizardry at the Friendly Arm Inn, the Ring of Protection +1 at the crossroads, the Ankheg Plate +2 in Nashkel and the Ring of Fire Resistance in the Gibberling Mountains. Update: Never mind - Just saw your hidden spoiler.
  11. Subtledoctor, Good timing. I'm playing a Druid now, and agree 100% that Sunscorch is overpowered. In fact, the only worthy Level 1 spells are Animal Summoning I + Sunscorch + Entangle; can't imagine why anyone would pick anything else. Other random thoughts: I believe there was a time in the Spell Revision history when Faerie Fire had a greater area of effect (15' or 20', perhaps), so an Entangle + Faerie Fire combo was pretty effective against the masses (-4 AC total). Animal Summoning I feels slightly overpowered; those bats seem to keep almost anything at bay until my ranged weapons finish 'em off. Both Magic Stones and Sunscorch are more effective against undead; perhaps just one or the other as an "undead weapon"? Maybe bump up Shillelagh a little to reward druids who are bold enough to melee?

  13. Just wanted to say I really like your "Nerf BG1 easter egg items" component. Discovered the Mastercraft Splint in place of Ankheg Plate @ Nashel - and makes much more sense. Thank you!

Taking a peek behind-the-scenes, 2 different Potions of Invulnerability: BTEST1.itm This potion confers very high resistance to all attacks, and gives bonuses to all saving throws. The effects of the elixir last for 5 turns, but can only be used by warriors. The liquid in the potion has a strange, murky quality to it that you haven't noticed in other potions. STATISTICS: Armor Class: set to 0 Saving Throws: +5 bonus Not Usable By: Wizard Slayer POTN11.itm This potion confers immunity to non-magical weapons and the non-magical attacks of certain creatures. It also provides enhanced protection against other forms of attack, granting the user a +2 bonus to AC and saving throws. Multiple uses of this potion are not cumulative. The effects last for 1 turn and cannot be dispelled. Usable By: Warrior So I think I got MIH + Item Revisions to coexist peacefully - with MIH trumping on conflicts.

  21. Subtledoctor, I noticed that you updated your Item Revisions to "4b10sd13". Sorry if this has been asked, but how does your IR differ from the Gibberlings3 version - and is it intended to be used with IR Revised? Thanks!
  22. Jastey, Just thinking out loud - Perhaps starting stats (i.e., level 3, 2 pips in 2 proficiencies, exceptional strength) are slightly overpowered? I'm comparing to Kagain & Khalid, who both start at level 1 w/ regular strength.
