  1. The enemy randomizer may need some work to address which creatures in which locations are 'essential.' I mean, it's one thing to walk into the mind flayer lair beneath Athkatla, and there's almost no mindflayers or thralls there. But in the Spellhold labyrinth, there's a zone where the Apparition who transports you to the next stop doesn't appear until you've killed 2 each of types of Skeleton Warriors. So if there aren't any skeleton warriors, you'll have to use the console. Likewise, there's a machine in which you have to deposit the head of a troll. I've got several in my bags, because I met this troll as far back as early BG1. But if I didn't have one, I'd have had to use the console to get one, because the troll whose head you need isn't here.
  2. The confrontation with the spirit of Bhaal in the dream needed some careful management. Sometimes he wouldn't enter the building, sometimes the cutscene never ended and I kept beating on him, but finally I had an attempt that worked properly. And, this time, the cutscene with Bodhi moving me to the labyrinth worked properly as well. So, onward we go!

After changing global "Kachiko_Saved" to 0, the cutscene worked properly.
  4. After Irenicus' "no heroics, only sleep" comment in Spellhold, the cutscene hangs. I'd been having difficulties with the Tortured Souls Lite content and inferred that this was the source of the difficulty, but having removed Yoshimo and Kachiko from my party, the difficulty persists.
  5. All right. It wasn't my intent to keep Yoshimo/Kachiko for the rest of the game, so if there's nothing past the island but a few banters, I'll drop them in Brynnlaw and see what happens. Thanks for your responses.

  7. And, the game is hanging again at the "no heroics, only sleep" talk with Irenicus in Spellhold.
  8. After Saemon says, "I suggest that we go to Athkatla....", There are 5 different responses. I played with variables to see if any would work. 237 is dependent on Global("ThiefGroup","GLOBAL",1) and Sime being in the group. Well, she's not, though that is my global setting. 238 is dependent on the same global but Sime *not* being in the group. That must be the one that's not firing for me; cutscene VPTHEND doesn't start. 239 is dependent on that global being 2. Changing mine to 2, cutscene VPVAEND failed to start. 240 needs global "B!Tourist" being 10. As soon as I changed it, Brandock said "You're not who I thought you were, I'm leaving," and left. Didn't check to see if it would work. 241 needs global "B!Alternatives" to be 10. With this variable set, "VPALEND" worked and I arrived in Brynnlaw. And my journal is not erased. The game now thinks Aster sent me instead of Aran, but removing that global now that I don't need it should fix that. Anyway, presumably you can look at these and see why the one works and the others don't, so you can fix them.
  9. OK, now the cutscene to leave the island and head to Brynnlaw is hosed.
  10. Nope...even with Sime in the party, there's no dragon, and no way out of the room, until I paste C:SetGlobal("VP_Sime_Dragon","GLOBAL",1) into the console. Then there's a dragon, I kill him, all my gear is in the dragon's treasure pile, and his captives just mill around aimlessly refusing to talk to me, until I use the console to leave the room. Also, I presume all those vampires scattered about aren't intended to be just decorations....?

I'll try them as soon as I can...which may be a bit, since it seems I made my save after reaching spellhold rather than before...so I've got to launch from leaving Athkatla instead. Ah well, another play through the TS island won't kill me. Especially since now I know I can grab Sime once Kachiko's kidnapped..... We'll, actually, I can't. She's non-responsive when I go back to pick her up. Well, I'll CTRL-Q her, and see if that makes any difference with the room with the missing dragon.

When Irenicus says "I bid you farewell, child of Bhaal, we shall not meet again," the following are the responses: OR Now is probably a good time to mention: Both Kachiko and Yoshimo survived the Tortured Souls Island. Yoshimo left the party before I entered the dream. My entire journal--entries and quests, both partial and complete, was erased when transitioning to the new chapter beginning with the arrival in Brynnlaw. New entries are not posting.
  13. In Spelhold, the first time Irenicus' cutscene after "there will be no heroics, only sleep" hung. It worked the second time. In RA0062, the monster ("PPBHAAL") wouldn't follow me through the doorway and into the Candlekeep Castle replica. I had to create him with the console. After defeating (?) him, I'm brought back to the Spellhold Lab, having lost my soul and Bhaalspawn powers...and after Irenicus gloats another cutscene hangs. We're not transported to the maze.
  14. On edit: false alarm. Had an issue with the cutscene meeting Irenicus in Spellhold, but on 2nd attempt it worked fine.
  15. Not that I know of; no reason in the plot for him to be so. Though...I think when he had Moiya's daughter kidnapped, he had her stashed somewhere in the graveyard crypts (no idea where now, but not Bodhi's complex). He was in the Copper Coronet, until he wasn't. The kidnappings etc were done with/by flunkies.
  16. Sure enough, Celile (D0LENDER.CRE) is flagged as 'innocent.' I've submitted a bug report over at the PocketPlane forum, just in case it's still monitored.   17. Also: Met Celile, the moneylender from the Copper Coronet, in the foyer of the Vulgar Monkey. When I clicked on him he attacked me, which, well, not exactly a rare occurrence. I haven't single-handedly killed the equivalent of the population of a small city just because I felt like it. But when I slew him, in self-defense, my reputation dropped from 20 to 10. That seems a bit steep! Especially in a lawless town like Brynnlaw....
  18. Reloaded last save from Chapter 15. Moved Sirene to the Order of the Radiant Heart. Moved Branwen to the Temple of Helm (Temple district). Moved Xan to the Planar Sphere. Moved Kivan to the Five Flagons playhouse. Completed transition from Chapter 15 to Chapter 16. Journal is erased, quests and journal entries. Teleported someone to the Planar Sphere, and Xan blinked out.
  19. Yes, it definitely appears related to the transition to chapter 4 (EET 16). My last save on Yoshimo/Kachiko's island, my journal was intact, and my former party members were in their stashed locations. As soon as I transition to Brynnlaw, the NPCs disappear from their stashed locations, and the journal is completely flushed. Guess I'm moving the ones I'm most likely to want back--Kivan, Xan, Branwen and Sirene--to locations like the Copper Coronet that might be safer, and seeing if that makes a difference.
  20. Finished "Tortured Souls," and have made my way to Brynnlaw. After Imoen was kidnapped, I teleported back to pick up Driz'zt, through the power of the console, and met with Brother Martin, who took us to the Spirit Soaring, which brought us first to the Hells and then another dragon, prerequisites for dealing with the crystal shard and Entreri/Jarlaxle. Then I sought to pick up Branwen, as I'm presently without a healer. Only to find that, as I tp'ed a party member through the various zones in which I've stashed former companions, to watch them disappear as I arrived at their location. Sirene, Anomen, Jaheira, I watch them all blink out as I zoned in. I wonder if something about the chapter system is removing them from the game? I used the C:Eval('MoveGlobalObject("former party member",Player1)') trick to recover Kova and Kiyone when I left for Brynnlaw, because they weren't where I thought I remembered leaving them. But this isn't working for Branwen. And on another front, my journal is hosed. Not only are new quests not being added, but hitting the 'back' arrow, I see a succession of blank pages. They don't even have chapter headings.

  23. Hi, Unfortunately, I no longer have a suitable cutscene. I CTRL-J'd my protagonist (and Grey, Afaaq, and Brandock, who always go along) into the room near the dude in green, and the dialogue then started as intended. I'm sure I'll be back, but it may be a few months Farther along, there's a big room that, I think, is supposed to have a dragon in it. Alas, it's completely empty (and there's no way to exit, either, so I'm going to have to reload my last save) The room is TT0304. Looking at the area script, I'm guessing I should have had Sime in my party, but it didn't occur to me to go back and get her when Kachiko got abducted. Silly me!
  24. The zone is TT0302. I looked at TT0302.bcs, and the only thing there was some boilerplate from the Haiass mod, so if there was supposed to be something there, it's missing.
