  1. My last 3 consecutive savegames all crash immediately upon loading. I've only lost about 48 hours in-game, but no idea what happened.
  2. Tranzig is supposed to be added to the Sewers as part of the Branwen BG1NPCSOA mod, but I didn't spot him anywhere. I think I will come back to her for my cleric once I've rotated through everyone, but for now I'm going to rotate her out for either Gavin, Yeslick or Nephele. Keldorn's romance appears to be stuck at 41. Breagar's staying with me rather than going off to be married, and we've got 2 pieces of his book. I think the 3rd is at Pimlico's, which I don't have a reason to visit without Korgan. Working my way through Lava's mods presently; Bridge's Block, Southern District and White Queen are done, and I'm making my way through ISNF now.
  3. Damn, girl! Ellie, at the Tower of Astinus, asked for a potion of invisibility so she could sneak by the half-orc who claimed she was his wife. The woman took the entire stack from my quickslot!
  4. The Twisted Rune? It was too hard the first time I tried it, right after killing Sarevok. So I came back and tried again after Durlag's Tower and the Driz'zt Saga, it might have been the very last thing I didbefore moving on to SoD; by that time my main was 11/11/11, so the rest of the party was probably in the L 11-13 range. Drake had an item or two that increased his Turning level, so the mummy went kaboom at the start of the fight. Enough Breach scrolls had dropped from random loot that Brandock and Xan and I all had it. And I put "protection from magic" scrolls on everyone before going in.

Well above 3 million total XP. But no high level abilities! I guess I installed something that delayed them, and that could mean none at all for my F/M/T, depending how many XP above the cap all the implemented mods provide., with my 25% XP reduction from a mod. Also, I don't think I got a new feat at level 12, and I definitely didn't get one at 15, which I just reached; nor have I been getting one at every other thief level. Swapping NPC's around so much, none of them have even half my total. Kivan and Keldorn are both about 1.7 million; Breagar and Vienxay have about a million each. Starting to wrap up stronghold requirements, aside from the Planar Sphere. I guess I'm holding off until I'm done being ambushed by Cowled Wizards for spellcasting in town; I don't want to accidentally get a license, which comes free with, I think, the expanded Mage stronghold mod. Keldorn's quest is done, and he's up to LT38, so about halfway. I read that Mazzy's romance doesn't begin until after the Underdark; we've beaten Gorf and killed her sister's poisoner, so she's benched until Chapter 6. Vienxay, like Kale and Helga, appear to be bugged in this installation; her quest never started, and she keeps saying "Hello there" with no followthrough (but not, like Kale, every second or so). Emily was fine and I haven't tried Recorder yet. Anomen, Haer'Dalis and Imoen have all been benched rather than completed due to bugs. I'm not sure, now, where I parked Kiyone and Kova; they're not where I thought I left them, so I hope they didn't leave the game without seeing my main for an "are you sure?" dialogue. Yoshimo and Kachiko are parked waiting for the Brynnlaw departure. I'm saving Xan for my last mage; having set Edwin and Nalia aside, and letting Vienxay go shortly, I think I just have Minyae and Evandra to see first. Do I need to have Breagar with me in the Underdark for his gems to be found, or can I pick him up upon my return? I started "Fishing For Trouble," but it's gated (there's a part early in the mod that requires a vampire in Bodhi's lair, so it has to wait until that's unlocked). Aside from Riativin and Tapanascar, I've done the TDD content that can be done before the last part. I've met Selence and had to drop the letters so I didn't meet the Soubar emissaries early; I don't think I"ve done any of CtB yet (the drow library in the Umar cave was inaccessible).
  6. The option to give the Priest of Oghma a King's Tear and 5000 gold repeats. I couldn't remember whether I'd done this before or not, but the option remained available immediately after selecting it (for the second time, probably, as there was no journal update and no change to Brandock's PID dialogue menu
  7. Hmm... I got a quest related to the shaman stronghold when I got to the Copper Coronet, killing the Shade Lord is a prerequisite. Not having much luck finding the ashes in Imnesvale, though. On a different note, and it's not a big deal now since I'll be swapping her out shortly, but at some point Nalia became incapable of learning new spells from scrolls. Only place I've seen that happen before was an issue with the BG1 to SoD transition.
  8. Hmm. Every time I've told Keldorn "I release you," I've never seen him again. But then, I didn't return to his villa, either. In any case, he just turned up, telling me Maria's dumped him. And I've just done the Shade Lord quest (minus the dragon, and therefore no Foundling yet), so with AllThingsMazzy and K's romance starting I expect I'll have them both for a good while. But I've just finished Edwin's content (since his romance never started) and I'm wrapping up Nalia's, so the party balance is about to shift back from arcane to melee. As for healing, I've picked up Branwen. Not sure if she has any quests, but her new dialogues are working for me. I reloaded to avoid losing the thief stronghold, and didn't pick Cernd back up (which I wouldn't usually do, not wanting to give him another excuse to abandon his kid...) Without him, Deril-the-Lich (complete with the Spell Immunity that keeps Breach etc from working) doesn't show. That just leaves the Mage Stronghold to complete--and the Shaman, but I'll have to look up where to find it.
  9. Thanks for the diagnosis and suggestions. Good to know about the incompatibility. I might be able to muddle through fixing him, but I wasn't planning on keeping him. I've done the grove, confronted Deril and gotten the baby back...and usually, that's where I leave him. However, I was curious as to whether there was any more to the story, and it looks like Deril becomes a lich 3 days after that confrontation, and we may come to blows at some point. So I picked up Cernd again and will keep him for a little bit. Besides, I'm running low on healers; I've cleared Jaheira, Anomen (up to the bug), Aerie and Viconia. Helga's quest didn't work. I forgot that Drake is BG1/SOD only. So I've just picked up Arath, and there's Gavin, and then at some point I'll have to decide who to keep for the rest of SoA. Oh yeah, I suppose I could see if the BG1NPCs like Yeslick and Branwen have any SoA quests. As for the rest of the party, the other Bad Father, Keldorn, is staying with Maria and the kids, but I think the romance mod will bring him back in a few days. Edwin's romance never started, and I was concerned that his quest was broken but Degardan just showed up for the first time. And I think I've reached the last of Nalia's lovetalks. Kivan I've kept and will keep aside from any interludes in which I need Kiyone or Emily, the other archers.

  11. There are two Keto's in the Five Flagons. Pretty sure there was only 1 earlier, before I talked to her. Cernd is an Elementalist and has a miniscule # of spells. For 7th, only Holy and Unholy Word. For 6th, only Wondrous Recall. Even at 1st level, his only choices are Bless and Cure Light Wounds. Is the Elementalist's portfolio that restricted? Or were there spheres he didn't get for some reason?

Right now my party consists of Kivan, Aerie, Nalia, Edwin and Minsc. Plus Brandock and Grey. I think Minsc is supposed to have a quest related to Aerie from Wings or maybe HTaM, but it hasn't popped yet. We're still going through the de"Arnise Keep events, and Nalia's been quiet a while but she's still flirting so the romance isn't broken. Edwin became Edwina a few days ago. Aerie's broken--her flirt dialogue menu pops about once per second. Except in the tent with Quayle, when she repeats her 'we decided to come back and visit' dialogue at about the same frequency). With her romance, "Wings" and "HTaM" quests all done (Praxis dead, troll recovered), I think it's time to retire her. I've still not searched most zones thoroughly. I've yet to turn in the Paladin Stronghold quests, nor take on the Cleric, Druid, Ranger, or Mage strongholds, and haven't the faintest idea where to find the Shaman stronghold yet.   14. Thanks, Jastey. I checked the PI Debug for AllThingsMazzy, and didn't see anything that offered any clue; there were no real errors to speak of (as opposed to, say, "Clara not detected. Clara is hiding. Casting True Sight and adding Clara's content" (not sure where they put it? I didn't see any new options that would have enabled me to save her life).   15. Does it, still? I thought so too, but I think if you talk to Avery about the locked altar, and Nadalin will take you to Salamander Island, you'll get the location you otherwise need from Reedrig.
  16. I left Imoen out of most of BG1; I dropped her before we got to Nashkel, and picked her up after Sarevok was dead. Also, it looks like her BG1 banters are in BIMOEN.DLG.
  17. BIMOEN2 has 1 talk for Yeslick, 1 for Aerie, 1 for Korgan, 2 for Viconia, 1 for Neera, and 4 for Clara. Anything else that should be there is missing. Just had another crash to desktop because Aerie tried to talk to her but the response is missing. While I'd intended to keep Imoen for the full run, it might be time to pare back her participation. That *would* give me an extra slot to play with as I work my way through NPC mod content....

I've been without my familiar since some time in Baldur's Gate; it is in one of those zones, unresponsive; if I spawn it in my bags and release it it doesn't appear, and if I try to summon a new one I'm told I already have one. We've already established that I've got some mod incompatibilities, so I'm not too bothered about it. Picking Hexxat's feats reminded me that I haven't selected any for my main in a long time, I think there should have been one at least at 12th level I didn't get. I think I saw something about either EEKeeper messing with it, or CTRL-R breaking it, so either of those could have caused the problem. Man, that town crier is everywhere! He keeps hawking the arena, even in places like the Windspear dungeon! Also, no sign of Verr'sza there, I'm guessing leaving him in Baldur's Gate before leaving for Dragonspear broke something.   19. Fatal crash with Isra's banter with Imoen: State 99: First <CHARNAME>, and now you as well. "Tis...baffling, to say the least. Response 99: (no text) [BIMOEN2.dlg] State 358: <Broken Reference, state entry not exist in BIMOEN2.DLG> This is the same issue I had with Adrian; I presume it's an installation weirdness rather than a true bug in the mod. But it looks like it's about time to say goodbye to Isra for this run. So; now to recruit Aerie and then get Minsc back? Or, pick up Kiyone and see the "Beyond the Law" content--at least, what there is in chapters 2/3? Or Kiara and Zaiya? Curious about both those pairs, I've never used either mod so I'm not sure how playable they are.
  20. Also, I think I killed Tazok at least three times...once before entering Firkraag's lair, once in the lair, and once after leaving the lair. Since I already killed him at least 3 times, I wonder if that's a record....?
  21. In the Windspear Hills, the enemy randomizer chainged the gnolls that the werewolves (in human form) were fighting. The dialogue that leads to them changing to werewolves and attacking won't fire unless NumDeadGT("aegnoll",5) As for Firkraag himself, it looks like SuperFirkraag is not compatible with the Ajantis mod; as soon as he was within eyesight, he went hostile. I'm not ready to take him on, so I ran away and will see if I can summon Conster and figure out the variables to fight him and get the key, and come back later...maybe much later!
  22. Huh. In Trademeet, to fullfill my contract on Qyr. Need rest, so I slept at the inn. Now is when Dorn propositions me (not for the first time, but for the first time after completing his quests and losing his Blackguard status). I took him up on his offer, and in the morning, Imoen was gone. Guess that was her last straw. Time to reload... This time, I turned him down. But in the morning, Imoen is still gone. I started Chapter 13 on day 519, and today is day 578. Is there a timer after which Imoen get kidnapped? I thought she'd be with me until we got to Brynnlaw.
  23. Shelved Anomen, picked up Dorn. Then Jaheira for Hexxat, and Neera for Viconia. I've rolled through Dorn's and Hexxat's quests, and Viconia's romance has advanced through her telling me of her brother's fate and fears of Lolth's retribution. Bernard gave me the note to meet the assassin broker, Lynn, at the Five Flagons. My reputation is usually too high for this content, but my recent actions have dropped mine from 20 to 8, so now's my chance to do this...and, early enough in the game that my rep can recover, once I start doing vanilla content. But after the milk run to the Sea's Bounty, my first target doesn't turn up. I talked to Pugney at the Mithrest Inn and got directions to where he should be, when he should be there, but there's no sign of him. Per his DLG file the variable Global("O#CrLynnQuestSpawn1","GLOBAL",2) is the trigger; for me this value was 0, so not sure where it should have set but didn't. Setting the variable, and then spawning Lord Melyin, everything works as intended. Oh, and I'm not sure if anyone is maintaining Ruad, but Jaheira can't wear her improved Harper pin.
  24. The good news--I figured out the problem I was having at Saerk's. I left the barracks after Anomen without talking to the Captain first. Having done so, when I get to Saerk's the front door is open and I arrive mid-confrontation between the families Also upon entry, there's messages in the chatbox that 6 or so guards have died. The bad news--when Saerk's son Yusuf summons the guards and starts a cutscene, said cutscene hangs. The end of the dialogue tree is: Yusuf: State 6: "Enough! Time for action. Men - show this filth, where their place is - with the trash!   25. Okay, I tried spawning Alwesk, and successfully got him to appear in the barracks. He sent me off to collect two of his guardsmen from Delosar. When I came back, he was gone, so I respawned him again. This time, he sent me off to the house above the lich in the Bridge District, where I fought two bone golems, a bunch of skeletons, and the two murderers, and recovered from them a document linking Saerk to the Shadow Thieves. Went back to Alwesk, who this time was still there, and he promises justice will be done. At which point Terl (?) shows up and tells Anomen that his father's gone after Saerk with murderous intent. Anomen promptly leaves the group. I follow to Saerk's estate. The downstairs door is locked and unpickable. I can get in upstairs, but if I want to avoid killing guards, I need to turn invisible (and, fight some Cowled Wizards). We slip by, head downstairs, and find Anomen standing around. When I speak to him, he wants to rejoin the group. Okay. At which point, a guard sees him and combat begins.
