  1. Matter of taste, for one. And then, Keldorn is - what? - 43 or something. That might sound old for a 20-something, but all I can tell you is: wait until you reach that age - you will notice it doesn't feel as old as you imagined when you were half the age where you still thought every person over 30 is "old". You could also ask: why would a wise and ripe man of his age fall for such a young woman... (Because he is definitely not the "I'm in the midlife crisis and need a young woman at my side to prove my youthfulness" kind of man.)
  2. I don't see any instance of this happening via script so you should be good.
  3. I'm glad it's solved! Have fun playing. (And really, all I'm doing is how to teach you to fish ... next time you'll look into NI yourself and after that you'll be the one helping new players! It's all an evil plan to reduce my needed efforts.)
  4. Thanks for the kind words, I didn't have the impression you really needed me, though. I hope you'll encounter no more problems in your playthrough! (Sounds like a Jedi blessing: "And may your playthrough be without lags and bugs, my young padawan.")
  5. I'll move these two mods up in my priority list and will send the EET versions to Kuloyk the next days.
  6. I'm sorry, but I can't help. I don't see any reason why three LTs should be skipped, they are just normally timer-triggered dialogues as far as I can see. Going after a German romance walkthrough (http://www.yiya.de/games/baldur2/index.htm ) the ambush of Ertof Dand after resting happened after LT "26" (~This is a dangerous life we seem to lead, it does seem. I wonder if you always think it will be so?~). After the LT the variable would be at Global("LoveTalk","LOCALS",27). But I can't recommend just setting it, because I have no idea how it is triggered (not by Global("LoveTalk","LOCALS",27) as far as I can see, so it's probably more complicated).
  7. @Cumag The attached cre is corrupted for me as well, but I can't reproduce it. I downloaded the current Windows v18, installed it to my EET game. Thanks for the report, I hope you can finish the quest. You do need one item that the slime would give you via dialogue: C#Q01002.itm in case you want to cheat it in.
  8. I have EET versions from k4thos for Kelsey and Keto on my computer but am delaying them because I wanted to add some bugfixes but am not working on them currently. Maybe I should just foreward the EET+ versions and deal with bugfixes later?!
  9. The epic tale of Biff the Understudy. "How it was feeding the lines to CHARNAME's Bhaalspan story!"
  10. Definitely unexpected. Let's see what this will bring!
  11. New version 7 is up with fixed Master Wraith encounter.
  12. Gibberlings Three Angelo NPC for Baldur's Gate II Angelo Dosan is the fighter-turned-mage who served as your brother's henchman in Baldur's Gate. You may remember that he sentenced you to death and fought against you in the Undercity, and if you were lucky enough to mine the content, you may remember that he is Shar-Teel's father. Most likely he didn't survive your game, but people in this world seem to have a knack for not staying dead. In the Angelo NPC Mod, Angelo tracks you down in the Graveyard District to make you an offer you can't refuse (though perhaps you will). Version 7 fixes an oversight introduced in v6 that would make the Master Wraith encounter in ToB get stuck. Changes: Added missing DV and dialogue to adshar.cre (ToB Master Wraith encounter fix) Removed unused adsuu25.cre. Learn more about the mod View the Readme Visit Angelo's Forum Download Angelo
  13. If you say the LT is at 29, do you mean the variable "Global("LoveTalk","LOCALS",29)"? If so, did your last LT start with: ~So, what do you think of Amn so far? It is certainly not without its charms, or its hardships lately. ~ The linked guide didn't load corretcly for me. The variable counts 2 numbers for one Lovetalk (even numer triggers it - starting at "2" for the first lovetalk, odd number is the waiting period until the next one). So, if it is Global("LoveTalk","LOCALS",29) for you, the next LT wouldhappen for Global("LoveTalk","LOCALS",30) after the timer "("JaheiraRomance","GLOBAL")" run out and would start with: ~We have had many people seek our deaths so far. Some would have been friends had things been different. This weighs on my mind.~
  14. Oh no, that remark was totally referring to what *I* did when testing bgqe on EET (or, more after i tested it). ... The BGII:EE (EET) weidu-log would be interesting too, actually, if you still have it. Sorry to hear about your problems. I hope it's not the whole install that is borked.
  15. Oh, this looks quite good. I would be interested in the transation. Only thing is, that I do not integrate translations blindly (at least not the languages I know), so it might take a while until the official version gets updated as I would like to proofread them first. If you would send them to my usename at web.de, that would be great! And thanks for any SoD feedback, I appreciate it.
  16. Hello eimerian, if it is a sincere translation yes, if it is "Google translate" then no. I also have to point out that due to internal changes in SoD due to the 2.5 patch, Breagar is not 100% compatible with 2.5 currently. Nothing game-breaking will happen, it could just be that he'll interject at awkward places and the reaction to the demon's game will not trigger correctly. (Breagar doesn't have that much SoD content, anyway). Just a heads up.
  17. @Cumag I cannot reproduce the crash. Would you please post your weidu.log? I won't be able to help you I'm afraid, but I'd like to see the mod combination in case someone else is experiencing this. My roughest guess would be the slime animation, maybe, so if you open the file C#Q01003.cre with NI and replace the cre's animation with something different hopefully the area won't crash if you enter it. (btw: it's not a good idea to deinstall setup-EET.exe if you wanted to deinstall setup-EET_end.exe only. )
  18. Thanks for reporting here! I'll have a look into that. I do assume it's something that either didn't exist for older versions of BG:EE or has something to do with mod combo on your install.
  19. Sorry, I meant Homeward Bound. Thanks for the link.
  20. Not yet exactly for the reason that it's hosted somewhere I have no reach to. EDIT: Up to the point where I am ignorant to where it is hosted currently, actually. Do you have a link?
  21. Cool, thanks! Does anyone know whether this is also true for the original engine?
  22. I have to refine one of my questions. If I apply such a protection effect via "secondary spell type" - which gives me the possibility to apply a bunch of effects and undo them later in the old engine - will those be removed by ctrl+R, as well? And, are there any restriction to how many secondary spell type things the old engine can handle if applied by ADD_SECTYPE?
  23. Thank you! I guess I'll use immunity to 295 and inprisonment then. Is there the possibility to protect against cold damage death in a reasonable manner or is it not a specific kind of death but just the kind of damage applied which incidently kills the NPC?
  24. What does "stat value" stand for if I want to make en effect of type "Disable Permanent Death(295)"and what would I need to put in - I'm sure there is a list or more information somewhere?
  25. Thank you nevertheless for the suggestions, I'll put something together that might protect in 95% of the cases. I might have to live with the fact that I cannot prevent every quirk on a player's playthrough. One more related question, though: how would I "re-initiate" an NPC that died a permanent death or was imprisoned - do I see it right that something like -set SPRITE_IS_DEAD to 0 -cast a resurrection spell (e.g. "SPPR712") -MoveGlobal to the wanted destination would restore the NPC to alive'n kickin'? Or would e.g. imprisonment lead to problems?
