  1. I got the candlekeep work order (which I associate with framed) from Scar during the first encounter on the bridge; without any comment on that item. Is this intended? From the description I expected Eltan to do such a thing... (version 1.9.1).
  2. Thanks for the info... Well, Roxanne... and no readme or other description to be seen directly at her site.
  3. @Graion Dilach: Looking for the component ~DH_TWEAKS\DH_TWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #0 // Dark Horizons Balancing for EE: v1.2 Can you provide a link where to find it?
  4. Well, I applied the GrimJim Fix and re-installed smarter Mages. And due to the installation order I also reinstalled smarter Priests automatically. Checking Mutamin and Silke they have now the spells memorized they should. AND(!) Tenya (who has been using Aerial Servant as her first spell) now does not have this spell in one of her cre-files. I have no problems to accept, that the GrimJim Fix fixed the mages, but the priests too? Or my problem simply was a hickup during the installation and the reinstallation just made everything normal? Well I guess we can't decide this... I will test now ingame if everything is fine.
  5. Hm, interessting. The file in the link (standard_mage.ssl) is empty in my installation (or the archive I have downloaded): 0 kB and now line detected when I opened the file with a text editor. The archive is 33.7a @Taimon asked for the cre's from the backup folders. Well, they are attached MUTAMI.zip SILKE.zip
  6. Another approach: comparing Graions log with mine there a lot of differences but one specific: I reduced XP for killing creatures to 75% and he did not. But according to the description of the procedure the XP value is not analyzed? Another difference may be the WeiDU Version. I was using WeiDU 247 for the installation of stratagems. In the zip-file there is a different version applied (looks like 246). Well can't detect more differences that could cause this error...
  7. Ok, here we go. I checked Mutamin and Silke yet with changelog (weidu --log nul --change-log silke.cre > silke-log.txt) I got the attached logs. Obviously it is SCS which adds the spells. Final levels are: Silke: 10/5/1 Mutamin 6/1/1 I also got 6 Mutamin-cres and 4 Silke-cres extracted. The spells are added for both in the latest version of the cre (according to the logs that would be "Smarter Mages"). Levels are the same for all cres. Let's check for the steps David mentioned: 1) SIlke is Leve 10, highest memorized level is level 4 (improved invisibility) -> maybe no reason to change things 2) well, there should be now some more spells... but the wrong ones or too many (I have seen the script with wipe out); nothing to trace here 3) yeah, Silke doesn' have a script at the beginning, just a silke.bcs to trigger the dialogue; after generalAI she got DW#silke.bcs; after smarter mages she has additionally DW#MG578.bcs (the fighting script, the other is just also initiating dialogue) So the analysis would be that for my installation the levels of the spellcasters have been read inaccurate or the additional spells have not "stopped" at the right level. Maybe David can recognize something with Silke's actual spell list: 9: Imprisonment, PowerWord: Kill 8: PowerWord: Blind, Abi-Dalzim, Maze 7: Mordenkain, Prismatic Spray, PowerWord: Stun 6: Chain Lightning, Death Spell, PowerWord: Silence 5: Domination, Chaos, Missile Storm (mod) 4: Emotion, Spider Spawn, Confusion 3: Monster Summoning, Hold Person, Dire Charm 2: Horror, PowerWord: Sleep, Melfs 1: Charm Person, Sleep, MM Next from top down: DW#MS4 next block of spells: Vocalize, Shield, Mirror Image, Haste I would guess, that the last block (Vocalize, Shield, MI, Haste) are the ones that should have been added with the extra DW#-Spell, and the other from 1-9 are the unintend ones? But looking at Graions list for Silke that is not really plausible? mutami-log.txt silke-log.txt
  8. BGEE I will check (easy catch; edit: done, in BGEE part nothing is changed), but I'm pretty sure it is not one the mods there. But there might be one or another mod in EET log that might have added the spells (not mentioned in the description). I will check previous installations if added spells can be found there (then it is one of the mods I'm usually installing); if not it is one of the mod that are "new" (for my installation).
  9. Ok, guys. The issue I really tracked is: My small group did meet Mutamin (the gnome with a favor for petrification). His second action after mirror image was Horrid Wilting. Ok, he is a necromancer, but he is level 6. Having this spell (checked his cre) and using DW#MG381.BCS this is a result of SCS. The question is now: why on earth do you provide a level 6 mage with such a script/spell??? This is cheesy by definition. Tenya (Level 5) and the assassin in Nashkell cast Aerial Servants... (DW#PR306.bcs assigned). Silke (Level 10) uses Power Word Blind (DW#MG578.BCS assigned), no problem to kill her with a Level 1/2 group, but... I'm, using SCS 33.7 installed after EET (weidu-log attached); the version linked in the EET compatibility list. And it looks like that SCS is not paying attention which level a spellcaster is and is just using the same script for everyone. Now the question is: what is wrong with my installation? Or is this really intended? Difficulty level is "improved" by the ... btw: HasItem("extheal",Myself) in the mage script is buggy, because my installation doesn't include this item. WeiDU.log
  10. How to cast the spell on her? Before the dialogue you have no reason to do this (that would be the same like avoiding the area). And after the dialogue it is too late... nice idea, but not realistic
  11. Are there more NPCs than Emily? Because she is the only one in my mind and that is why I installed this kit prior to NPCs and many other kits afterwards (but still within the EET for the moment). And one can use NPC_EE to assign Kits afterwards (well, I have doubts that this mod is doing this well, but from principle). But most NPCs nowadays have their own special kit. Is there any benefit to install mods within EET who are not affected by area- or dialog-fusion/renaming?
  12. I have an EET installation where I can select 8 (9 for mage specialsts) spells for each level on character creation for mages and bards. For sorcerers I can choose the usual 2 Level-1 spells but I have to click for every spell level while having 0 spells available to choose. After that I can assign also 8 spells for each level to memorize. This also happens for the Warlock-Kit which usually does not allow to choose any spells. Has someone an idea which mod might be responsible for this behaviour (see the attached list of candidates)? My first suspect would be Rjali because I never used this mod yet and the author seems eager to change things. If someone knows which 2DA to check for the info and to trace for mods changing the file, this info would be welcome. edit: Identified the altered files: MXSPLXXX.2DA with XXX for the different classes. Now trying to trace the changes. Has someone the weidu-Syntax available? next edit: it is Rjali; didn't find the code yet, but the package contains altered 2DAs with max spells per level for everyone. final edit: it is in the Rjali's Equipment component: // Max spell slots for every class for every level COPY ~Rjali\2DA\MAXSPELLS~ ~override~ WeiDU.txt
  13. Following issue: I installed EET_end; weidu.log confirms that. But starting the game, the message that EET_end is not installed pops up. In the baldur.lua I have the string: SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','EET Installation State','1") I changed it to "2" and the message disappeard. Question is: how could that happen? Is EET_end just adding a +1 to the state or should it this change the value to 2? IIRC I changed the path for the baldur.lua in the engine.lua during the installation of the mods and before the EET_end.
  14. I would suggest to alter the compatibility list and to add a third category "Mods which can be installed after EET_end". At the moment the list is a bit misleading as for example Stratagems must(!) be installed after EET_end and not after the Main Component of EET. If you label the category to mods which can(!) be installed after EET one has maybe to mark Stratagems as a must be after. Why put Mods not into the EET installation? Because when you want to add them or change them, you have to "open" the EET installation which is according to my experience not a good thing because you provoke errors when you do this more than 3 times (in one installation I did this more than ten times and nothing happened, but on other occasions I ruined the installation). Now the question: can only Stratagems be installed after EET_end? Frankly I don't know for sure, but I guess that most Kit-Mods can be installed after and some Tweak Mods or at least some components of Tweaks can (for example XP adjustments). As far as I understand the EET all mods which alter dialogs, has something to do with NPCs or alter areas must be installed inside EET (or before to be converted). But even if a mod takes into account the new names of the areas it can alter areas and be installed after EET_end. Well, this is my point of view based on how I use EET and on my experience
  15. Well, the idea is to make an EET installation. In detail: I have been doing several of EET installations (more than 20, about 10 successful). This time I'm trying to make 2.6.x version for the first time (and with WeiDU 2.47). In the end it is trying to check what works and whar does not. For example: with former installations sometimes I had problems when I was using GlamPack (which has not been updated since), sometimes not. A full stop like this time was somehow new. So in the end the mod is not really compatible with EET while adding DVs without dialogfile in the pdialog.2DA To edit the compatibility list is necessary if you install Mods in BG1 not listed yet, otherwise EET won't start... WeiDU logs for the first attempt are attached below. The second installation crashed during a reinstall of EET_End. But that was due to hardware issues. The mods have been more or less the same (HTaM 3.4 instead of 3.3 and small changes in the order of installation). WeiDU.txt WeiDU-BGEE.txt
  16. For the installation mentioned above: that was crap, Kits totally destroyed and very strange. For the next try I got the same first error message about the pdialog.2DA (attached). I eliminated all entries from BG1 Mods which are only providing a DV but no dialog-files (glam and thalan). That helped to avoid this first error message which was reproducable in the second installation. PDIALOG.2DA
  17. Well, you are right, I should have read the recent posts and not having relied on the fact that I downloaded a very recent version...

  19. @Austin: V3.3 english version @151 - @156 in setup.tra are missing, resulting in the following error message: ERROR: No translation provided for @151 ERROR: [HerThiMoney/cre/ANmess2.cre] -> [override/ANmess2.cre] Patching Failed (COPY) (Not_found) Stopping installation because of error. While searching the tp2 I also notived that often COMPILE is used without EVALUATE_BUFFER. Even if the relevant files have this function I guess it is dangerous if you edit the other ones without and forget to add this function if relevant.

Stopping installation because of error. Debug can't be attached due to size limit. Another interessting thing after the installation stopped: ERROR Installing [EET core (resource importation)], rolling back to previous state Unable to Unlink [EET/backup/0/OTHER.0]: Unix.Unix_error(1, "unlink", "EET/backup/0/OTHER.0") WARNING: Cannot uninstall STRING_SET #270672, out of range 0 -- 103584 WARNING: Cannot uninstall STRING_SET #270671, out of range 0 -- 103584 (and many more warnings of the same type) I used 13.4 on 2.6.6. But I used WeiDU 2.47 and not the one provided with the EET. Maybe that is the reason for the problem. I'll check for that. But anyhow I guess the error is interessting by itself as it happened for the SoA compatibility part... edit: used the provided setup-EET.exe which says it is a 2.47 too but has a smaller size. same problem, no changes. next edit: was my fault: I modified the compatibility.tbl but in a wrong way (missed a "0"): WALAHNAN 0 //Walahnan NPC BRISTLELICK //Bristlelick NPC
  21. If you play the mod you will notice why the helm is undroppable or won't be removed by Moidre
  22. Well, I didn't take a look at the items itself. I just read this in the item description. But I guess that Lava has the technical knowledge to do that. Other items have different effects due to different alignments (good/neutral/evil) and this works ingame.
  23. SotSC is using day/night for different boni of items...
  24. Who says that Garrick-TT is EET compatible? Would be surprised...
