    DLTCEP 7.8.0.2

The link in the first post is broken; here's 7.8. dltcep78.zip
  5. Or put another way: Original IWD uses a cropped 36x58 S portrait for the game screen, a 110x170 L portrait for the record screen, and has a 210x330 G portrait that is used only for portrait selection during character creation. Original IWD2 uses a cropped 42x42 S portrait for the game screen, and a 210x330 L portrait for everything else. Unlike the other games, there is no third portrait. Original BG uses a 38x60 S portrait for the game screen, a 110x170 L portrait for the record screen, and has a 210x330 G portrait that is used only for portrait selection during character creation. Original BG2 uses a 38x60 S portrait for the game screen and dialogue window, a 110x170 M portrait for the record screen, and a 210x330 L portrait for the epilogues in ToB. The EEs uses a 169x266 M portrait for the game screen and dialogue window, and 210x330 L portrait for the record screen and epilogues in ToB. They also include a 54x84 S portrait that appears to be unused. It's possible the EE S portraits are used somewhere obscure (character arbitration?) but I've yet to find it; same deal for the BG G portraits. To make portraits available to the player, EEs only need the L version dropped into the portraits folder in the documents folder. The others either need the M and L portraits (BG2) or the S and L portraits (BG/IWD/IWD2) dropped into the game directory's portraits folder. The custom portrait screen for IWD uses the L portrait, and hence G is not needed for PC-available portraits.
  6. It's fixed now--when we moved, some of the downloads had been replaced with 0-byte files. I thought I had fixed them all, but apparently I missed this one.
  7. This is all known information, but I'm not sure if it's actually summarized anywhere. There are now seven different portrait sizes used across the BG/IWD games. In the notes below I'll use the term 'S' or 'L' portrait; this is the suffix used with the portrait by the internal naming convention (e.g. IMOENS.bmp or IMOENL.bmp). 36x58 An Icewind Dale exclusive, used for the game screen as the S portrait. This portrait is also unique in that it's the only portrait that is cropped to just the face of the character; all other portraits across the games are generally the same portrait resized and not cropped at all. 38x60 Used in the original BG and BG2 as the game screen portrait as the S In original BG2, this S image also appears in the dialogue window. 42x42 An IWD2 exclusive S portrait, used only for the game screen. 54x84 Defined in the EEs as the S portrait, but appears to be unused. 110x170 Used in original BG/IWD as the record screen portrait as the L portrait This size is also used by the original BG2 as the record screen, but is instead designated M. 169x266 Size exclusively used by the EE as the game screen and dialogue window portrait, designated M 210x330 In IWD and BG this G portrait is used for the initial portrait selection image during character creation. However, once selected the rest of character creation process uses the smaller L portrait In original BG2 this is the L portrait and used only as the epilogue portrait As the L portrait, used in IWD2 for everything but the game screen For the EEs this the L portrait and used for the epilogue and record screens Creature files designate a small and large portrait at offsets 0x34 and 0x3c, respectively. By convention above these are respectively the M/L portraits (BG2, EEs) or the S/L (BG, IWD, IWD2).
  8. Then I will be sure not to mention that Noober's second cousin, Nüber, is the one pulling the strings all along.
  9. Unfortunately, fixing this requires an exe hack which is something the Fixpack doesn't do--mainly because it's a little risky, and also because it means it would be a Windows-only fix.
  10. Thanks for letting us know! Some of the permissions in the download center were borked, but I think I've got everything fixed. Try it again.
  11. Guys and gals, I've always known we have a great community at G3, but you always continue to surprise me in new and wonderful ways. We've been back online for two days, and already the donation goal for 2019 hosting is nearly full. I simply can't thank you guys enough.
  12. We've spent the past week migrating content to our new cloud-based platform and while we're still working down our checklist, we're re-opening the site and forums since we're confident that nothing will catch fire. At least not immediately. Definitely, probably sure. At any rate, we'd like to thank you for your patience. We've done our best to keep our look and feel from the recent redesign though we're still ironing out a few rough edges. Our full suite of redirects are not fully active, so please bear with us through some inevitable 404s while we sort them out. We also would like to extend our deepest gratitude to SHS, and to @SConrad in particular. They've been kind enough to host us for years and, while we're moving to a new host, we're very appreciative of the help they've given us. We simply could not have remained online without their assistance. And speaking of a new host unfortunately means we get to speak of new obligations. For years G3 was hosted and paid for by the staff and modders of G3 itself; however, as the site has grown--and the modder pool has shrunk--it became progressively harder to make the ends meet. As such, we've added a new donation feature to the site for any of our wonderful community who are feeling generous. Every bit helps, and 100% will go directly to the hosting costs. On a personal note, I'd like to thank both @Mike1072 and @theacefes for their phenomenal work making this move happen--and happen well, as it turns out. They've always being there to help pull me out of holes of my own making. They've both put in a lot of long hours--not their first time, and certainly not their last--and I'd like everyone to join me in sending our sincere appreciation their way. Welcome back!
  13. Downloads for all of these mods can be found in the Portrait Pack section of the downloads. Ace's Enchanters Portrait Pack This mod is a collection of 8 portraits from the character art of the Enchanters book series. They have been resized and packaged to work with most Infinity Engine games. All artwork is used with permission of the artist and author. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page. Ajantis Portrait Pack A complement to the Ajantis BG1 Expansion or Sir Ajantis NPC For BGII mod, this standalone portrait pack gives a choice of custom portraits for Ajantis. The Ajantis Portrait Pack is compatible with BG1, TotSC, BGT, Tutu, BG:EE, BGII:EE, and EET. It detects the game install automatically. For the BGII part of the game, the portrait is meant for the Sir Ajantis NPC for BGII mod, but can be installed independently. You can view previews of the portraits in the gallery, or view the readme (English, German) or head straight to the download page. Amaurea's BG2 Portraits This mod offers alternative portraits for each of the Baldur's Gate II NPCs. These portraits can also be used by the PC. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page. BG1 NPC Portrait Pack This mod provides alternate portraits for the Baldur's Gate NPCs. It supports the two conversion projects, Tutu and Baldur's Gate Trilogy, as well as BGEE. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page or learn more about it on the project page. Blonde Imoen This WeiDU mod will replace Imoen's portrait with my new version that has long blonde hair. Because of the change in hair length I have replaced her in-game avatar with that of a female, elven mage (who has long hair). This does make her shorter, but oh well. Ok, I can't guarantee its loveliness but it is blonde! You have the option of giving her short, blonde hair (Normal Imoen length) or longer blonde hair (Aerie-ish length). Continuous NPC Portraits There are five NPCs in the Baldur's Gate series who have multiple official portraits. Edwin, Imoen, Jaheira, Minsc, and Viconia all have different portraits for the BG and BG2 games; Imoen and Viconia have a third official portrait from Siege of Dragonspear. This mod will allow you to use any of these official portraits for them on any given game, e.g. you can use Imoen's BG portrait in BG2, or Viconia's SoD portrait in BG. The original and Enhanced Editions of Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II are supported, as is Siege of Dragonspear and the various conversion projects involving these NPCs (EET, BGT, and Tutu). Comparisons can be found in the portrait gallery. DA Portraits This mod provides a variety of portraits for the Baldur's Gate or Baldur's Gate II protagonist and also alternative portraits for all of the joinable BioWare NPCs and a selection of mod NPCs. The mod contains separate components that can be installed independently of one another. The NPC portraits may be installed individually. A preview of the portraits is available on the Dragon Age section of the Portraits page. Hannah's Portrait Pack This mod provides six new portraits (one male, five female) for use in Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II. The portraits are original artwork, not based on any existing or in-game art. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page. Infinity Collection Portrait Pack The Infinity Collection Portrait Pack is a collection of official portraits from all Infinity Engine games, packaged for use on any game. For example, this will allow you to use the original IWD2 portraits for a PC in a Siege of Dragonspear game, or vice-versa. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page. JPS' Portrait Collection A series of portraits for the Baldur's Gate II NPCs by JPS packaged with WeiDU. The portrait pack includes two alternate Jaheira portraits and one for Aerie, Imoen, Nalia and Viconia. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page. NiGHTMARE's NPC Beautification These portraits were done by NiGHTMARE. They provide a series of alternative portraits for many of the BioWare NPCs. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page. Plasmocat's Portrait Pack This WeiDU mod provides a wide variety of ethnic portraits for the Baldur's Gate II protagonist and also alternative portraits for 13 of the joinable NPCs. Plasmocat's "BG NPC Portraits in BG2 Style" This WeiDU mod alters the portraits of BG NPCs to be more like the portraits in BG2. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page. Plasmocat's "Picks of the Litter" Portrait Pack This collection of portraits for the player (not NPCs) is a collection of Plasmocat's favorites, many of which were commissioned for various mods and others which are just portraits she wanted to make from the photos of models she thought were interesting. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page. RoorenArt's Portrait Pack This is a collection of 47 portraits for the Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II cast of NPCs on either the original or Enhanced Editions of the series. They also work on the various conversion projects Tutu, BGT, and EET. You can see a preview of the portraits on RoorenArt's DeviantArt. There is also an option to install these portraits as player portraits on any Infinity Engine game. These portraits were created by RoorenArt. You can follow her work on DeviantArt or her website roorenart.com, where she also accepts commissions. sporeboy!'s Alternate Female NPC Portrait Pack This WeiDU mod provides alternate portraits for the female BioWare NPCs in BG2: Aerie, Imoen, Jaheira, Mazzy, Nalia and Viconia. You also get an alternate Valen portrait for Wes Weimer's Valen mod. All of these portraits are optional. These portraits are copyright © Atomic Incorporated, 2004. A preview of the portraits is available on the mod's Portraits page. You can also find more at www.sporeboy.com.

    NWN2 Mods

To ensure compatibility this mod incorporates 3 earlier mods released separately: Bishop's Romance, MotB-Mule Pack and Requiem-MotB. If you have these mods currently installed, please DELETE them before installing this package. This mod is designed to work with the NWN2-OC and the MotB expansion pack. Due to the nature of the Electron Engine, the mod will be incompatible with any other mod using the same NWN2-OC files. Any and all mods for NWN2-OC-MotB that will want to use the same files and want to maintain the compatibility are free to take the OC-MotB files modified by this mod and apply further changes to them. Legacy Mods The following three mods are fan-made modifications for NWN2-OC that now have been incorporated in the The Romance Pack for NWN2 OC-MotB. Bishop's Romance (updated and included in the Romance Pack) This is a modification for the NWN2-OC that adds new dialogues, expansions to the existing dialogues and the flirt-pack for Bishop. Flirt-packs are accessed via the main question menu, where the new option (Flirt with Bishop) will appear. The flirts differ between Act II and Act III. Two or three talks are 'hidden' and will appear if certain events occurred and you tried to flirt with Bishop. You do not have to be evil-aligned or have high influence with Bishop to romance him. The mod does not modify the influence over the character, in order not to upset the game's balance. The last meeting with Bishop still requires high influence with him to eventually obtain a different conclusion. The first lines of NWN-style talks are voiced, and the cutscenes are fully voiced. Download Forum OC Companions in MotB (updated and included in the Romance Pack) The OC Companions in MotB is a simple hack that lets you add any companion from the OC to your MoTB party. No role-playing capacity, just purely pack-mule and combat thing. Download Miscellaneous Released NWN2 Mods Forum The Requiem (updated and included in the Romance Pack) The Requiem is a tiny add-on that adds a number of dialogue options to Ammon Jerro’s conversation about the OC companions in MotB. The options allow the PC to express his or her grief over the character’s deaths or hope that those who survive are faring well, and, if they have at least 3 levels of cleric, to say a Prayer for the Dead. 15. The mod is rated M, for coarse language and adult situations. You can go to T rating if you exclude Salomeya and Sir Wind Nord from the party and tell the eligible characters that you are not interested in their romantic advances. Mods which extend material presented here (new NPCs for IWD2 who banter with IWD2 NPCs, or romance for one of the IWD2 NPCs) are welcome as separate modifications, with the appropriate credit given to the authors. If you want something to become a direct part of this mod, you will need to contact G3. Creating Your IWD2 Character to Play the Mod: There are a few things you need to know before plunging into your Northern adventure with your new companions by your side. Please, don't forget to patch your game with the official Patch 2.01. This may not be needed depending on where you get your game, e.g. installing IWD2 from GOG will already include the v2.01 patch. The IWD2 NPC Project should be fully compatible with IWD2EE. If you want the party members to recognize a character as the main character, like the main PC in BG or BG2, and banter with him/her you will need to: Create him or her first. Keep him or her in the first, leader's slot. Have him or her as the only custom-created (i.e. not supplied by the mod) character. These three limitations are the direct effect of the difference between the BG2 and IWD2 engines. If you don't do this, the IWD2 NPCs will banter between one another and comment on the events in the game, but will not talk to the leader. Other things to keep in mind are: The game displays only one portrait during each dialogue in the dialogue window: the portrait of the character talked to. So far, the mod is not able to fix the quiet murmur of the characters that fight unarmed. The PC's biography cannot be put into the designated spot, so the generic IWD2 biography will still show there. Your PC's background introduced by the mod, and to which the NPCs will refer to, will be written in your journal early in the game. Until Weimer's Ease of Use is updated to be compatible with the most recent version of WeiDU, Ease of Use should be installed prior to The IWD2 NPC Project. If any NPC was petrified, and then restored to life via Stone to Flesh, it will interfere with the character's file, and will eventually cause the game to crash when the character is called upon to say anything. You will need to either re-load and avoid the petrification, or import a new copy of the character via the Character Arbitration screen. Components for Installation The IWD2 NPC Project has three separate components: Install joinable NPCs for IWD2 This is the main component and will make 10 joinable NPCs available. More information is provided in the following sections Female Gnome Avatars This component lets you select a different avatar for female gnomes: Use Female Mage Elf Avatars for Female Mage Gnome Avatars Use Female Thief Halfling Avatars for Female Mage Gnome Avatars Use Male Mage Dwarf Avatars for Female Mage Gnome Avatars (Game default) Use Alternate NWN-Style Portraits for All NPCs This component will swap the default, IWD2-style portraits of the ten NPCs with an alternative, NWN-style set of portraits. You can view the original IWD2-style portraits side-by-side with the NWN-style portraits in the IWD2 NPC gallery. The Characters There are currently 10 joinable NPCs available to choose from (full information is available on their linked pages): Diriel, a Neutral Evil Elven Druid Male (A Romantic Option for an Elven Female PC) Hildury, a Chaotic Good Half-Orc Barbarian Female Jaemal, a Neutral Good Aasimar Sorcerer Male (A Romantic Option for a Male or Female PC) Nikosh Bracegirdle, a True Neutral Halfling Rogue Male (Sir) Wind Nord, a Lawful Good Human Paladin Male Peony, a Chaotic Neutral Gnome Wizard-Illusionist Female (A Romantic Option for a Male PC) Prachi, a Lawful Neutral Human Monk Female Rizdaer, a Lawful Evil Drow Fighter Male (A Romantic Option for a Female PC) Salomeya, a Chaotic Evil Half-Elven Bard Female (A Romantic Option for a Male PC) Valeero, a Neutral Good Human Priestess of Lathander Female At the start of the game, you will have two options – either importing the full pre-created party of 6 NPCs which will appear in your party selection menu as "Nord's Company" or you can select "New Party", create your Protagonist and add 5 NPCs. You will handle NPC joining and removal via Import/Export. Each NPC can be imported at different levels. Sir Nord, Salomeya, Jaemal, Diriel, Valeero and Rizdaer lend themselves more easily to having higher levels at party creation than the PC, Hildury, Peony, Prachi and Nikosh. Suggested levels are: Level 6: Sir Nord and Valeero Level 3: Diriel, Jaemal, Salomeya and Rizdaer Level 1: Hildury, Nikosh, Peony and Prachi When you are creating the character it is up to you if you want to use the portraits, colors and soundsets that are provided by the mod. Keeping each NPC's name as it was given by the mod will save you a bit of confusion when you start seeing the banter. PCs will also have some low-power items equipped on them. Your PC will get a small gift as well in the very beginning of the game from Sir Nord (he does not have to be in the party for that).
  16. This mod expands on the depth of character and levels of interaction with the NPCs from the BG game. When BG2 was released, one of the major improvements in many peoples' eyes was the increased level of interaction one could have with the party members. This mod was developed to allow BG players a similar experience. NPCs in your party now have banters with the PC, with each other, and small side-quests of their own. As we were unable to get the original character voice actors to voice all the new lines, we instead sought out music appropriate to each NPC to be played whenever they initiate banter. This musical package is a separate, optional package (to keep the download size down), and you can find it in the Downloads Center. Final wrapup of content for the BG1 NPC Project took over a year of work and testing by members from all over the IE Community. This wrapup phase incorporated new quests, recoded the project to install natively on both Tutu and BGT, and provided an expanded set of tweaks to add to the experience of BG using the BG2 engine. The original project was divided into three phases: Phase 1: Banter pack (each character initiates banters with others NPCs and with PC) - Released in May 2004 Phase 2: Quests and Interjections (the characters comment on the game's events, some has personal quests) - Released in November 2004 Phase 3: Romances (with Ajantis, Branwen, Coran, Dynaheir, Shar-Teel and Xan) - Released in October 2005
  17. From the author jastey: I feel under a lot of time pressure every time after the incident with Irenicus, Imoen, and the Cowled Wizards at the Promenade. This mod lets Imoen be turned to stone in that fight. The idea is to give the PC more ease of mind to do all the quests in Chapter 2, knowing that Imoen doesn't suffer - and can be turned back to live like Branwen was in BG1 once the PC reaches Spellhold. The mod lets Imoen be turned to stone in the fight with Irenicus at the Promenade. She will still be taken by the Cowled Wizards, and Irenicus will have depetrified her and do his soul-experiments until the PC reaches Spellhold so the overall game flow is not altered. But overall it all happens a bit later than in the original, and (at least for me) it's a bit less disturbing. This mod is meant to be a very small mod, which is also one of the reasons why the overall game story is not altered. The mod tries to use as many originally voiced lines as possible, but some had to be taken out because they didn't make any sense without Imoen reacting. Also, some lines were added to stress the reasons why Imoen will be taken to Spellhold although she is turned to stone.

    Improved BAMs

A large number of the Baldur's Gate inventory graphics (BAMs) were improved for the sequel, so I decided to create this small pack that puts them back into the original. It will also work with Icewind Dale, as that re-uses many BG items. - NiGHTMARE
  19. This is a minor modification to Baldur's Gate II that improves the berserkers summoned by the three Horns of Valhalla. Only the creatures and their items are modified. The horns themselves are left unchanged. The berserkers have improved weaponry, proficiencies, and are constantly in a state of enrage (per the Berserker kit).
  20. The Mod Kit Remover is a WeiDU mod that will remove all mod kits from the character creation screen. The mod was primarily made because The Darkest Day fills all available kit slots, but players wished to use kits from other mods when playing it. There are options to remove either just mod kits or BioWare and mod kits. All kits will remain installed for use by NPCs and previously created PCs. Any changes made by other mods to BioWare's kits will remain intact, and kits from other WeiDU mods can be installed and be selectable at character creation.
  21. The mod contains several components that can be installed independently of one another. Elf Mage Female Avatars These Avatars provide long-haired animation for robed and armored female mages To get the most enjoyment out of this Avatar, Please read this short instruction: The most important- Selecting your hair color: All avatar BAMs as well as the paperdoll are transparent, which allows you to choose your colors from a palette. All transparent (colors) have what is called a camera shot or highlight effect. For example, look at your original avatars on screen and you’ll see a light spot on the top of the head as well as their clothing. Within your color spectrum (your color choices) you’ll notice a small light center, with the colors radiating out toward the edges. (99% of the original BG2 colors are this way). When colors are applied as an overlay your color choices will be applied light to dark etc. On short hair this looks good and normal, but not so for long hair. Be careful in your choice of color and try to choose a color with a darker middle or highlight. Even so with the dark colors, such as black, you’ll see a lot of highlights that look gray and will not look good with a dark dress. This was disappointing to me as well, but remember these are modified avatars not originals and the quality will not be the same. To choose stark black hair color, you will need to use ShadowKeeper or NI and set the hair color to solid black. Use your color spectrum with caution and enjoy. Female Clerics and Druids Avatars These Avatars provide long-haired animation with split skirts for female clerics and druids. Male Half-Orc Paper Doll This changes Half-Orc paper doll to something more artistic. Female Human Fighter Avatars This is the avatar for heavy armor only (plate); you won't get the longer hair while wearing light or medium armor. Male Human Barbarian Avatars Makes human male barbarians appear, well, barbaric. Male Human Mage in Robes + 3 and a paperdoll These BAMs were made with the human male mage. You won't see this avatar unless you have a +3 armor like the Robe of Vecna. A paper doll is included. Female Human Mage in Robes + 3 and a paperdoll These BAMs were made with the Human Female Mage. You won't see this avatar unless you have a +3 armor like the Robe of Vecna. Paperdoll included with BAMs. Male Monk Avatars (Ninja) These BAMs were made to replace the Monk avatar. It also includes a character portrait. You must use ShadowKeeper in order change all colors to black which you cannot do inside the game i.e. armor, metal, leather, major and minor clothing. Be careful when using a vest or armor. There are some that changes the color of the clothing. I have revised several leather vest and armor to a black color. It is easy to do if you have Near Infinity. If not I’m sure someone has these items for download. A Ninja should not be wearing armor at all. It takes away from the character. Use rings and amulets to enhance his stats. A thief kit of Shuri Ninja by Twinblade can be found here: http://members.lycos.co.uk/twinblades/ Using ShadowKeeper you can change the appearance to Monk Male Human and all color choices (except skin) to black (value of 0x42). Female Monk Avatars (Ninja) Replaces a female monk animation and paperdoll with the same ninja avatar. Female Rogue Avatars This component replaces human female thieves and bards with new avatars. Male Vampire Avatars Replaces Male Vampire Avatars with new avatars. Female Vampire Avatars Replaces Male Vampire Avatars with new avatars. Male Vampire Avatars for Male Thieves Replaces Male Thieves Avatars with Vampire Avatars.
