kreso
I would like it if IR uses the enhanced stacks of BGEE or makes it optional. Using throwing daggers with a stack of 10 is really awkward. Agreed. 120 for arrows/bolts/bullets; 40 for axes and 60-80 for daggers seems fine imo. Easy enough to do. Quote Link to comment
Incantatar
I said this before but with the changes to specialist wizards in EE it's even more grave. With the potion changes there is no reliable way anymore to learn spells on core or higher difficulty. Specialist wizards now get a malus on learning non specialized spell schools. Together with the steep prices of scrolls this is really really inconvenient. Try playing a specialist wizard with 16 int. 45 % of all non specialist scrolls will fail to be scribed. Now try to learn some higher level spells and see tens of thousands of gold flush down the toilet. No way to mitigate. In BG2 there is the +1 int dagger, with one of the more difficult SoA encounters beforehand. That doesn't cut it. Would be cool to add SR's Monster Summoning IV as a scroll in BG somewhere. kreso
I said this before but with the changes to specialist wizards in EE it's even more grave. This isn't EE specific. It's documented there, but it's an original game feature. Tbh, I use "100% spell success" from BG2 tweaks. Quote Link to comment
subtledoctor
More incentive to actually role-play the specialist and rely more on spells within your specialization. Quote Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
More incentive to actually role-play the specialist and rely more on spells within your specialization.Well, would you play an invoker that has only 75% chance to learn Fireball ? More is more, yes, but when that more isn't enough, it's too little. PS, I would put the 100% spell learning to be actually 120-150, not 100 to the intmod.2da file... as -15 to a 100 is 85% for non specialists, not 100%... Quote Link to comment

Or you could just make the mage kit teach you a chosen spell of their class, if you supply the game with CLABMA02-9... Quote Link to comment
Incantatar
Just found +3 Arla's Dragonbane in the first area of Irenicus' dungeon. (This is a full SR/IR/SCS install on newest bg2:ee). Wtf Beamdog? ...Just read when you import a char you get a 4th imported item. I didn't even went to the lower levels of Durlag's Tower. Great feature. Incantatar
When you create a char you need to learn one specialty school spell per level but what you memorize is under no constraint other than the forbidden school. Edited April 21, 2016 by Incantatar Quote Link to comment
Incantatar
On topic: -There is small problem with different potions of the same type in the potion bag. When you click one potion the other stacks get automatically highlighted and you must remove one of each stack. Could be just a BG2:EE bug or has something to do with SCS added potions. -Is it intended that speed bonuses from items don't stack? Edited April 21, 2016 by Incantatar Quote Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
When you create a char you need to learn one specialty school spell per level but what you memorize is under no constraint other than the forbidden school. That's because learning from scrolls (that has to be done to learn a spell) is not FREE. Of course one could just apply GA_SP*xyz to a the spell in the school at level 1 in the kits CLABMA-files, which then removes the need... ouh, Diviners can go suck on eggs, cause they won't have any spells at levels 7-9.
