  1. I am the opposite. 2.6's bugs/regressions are stuff that I haven't even noticed so far, but since I got aware of how the logic under the voicesets got revamped, I refuse to even think to go back to the limited, more fragmented world of 2.5.

It's hard to suggest things for 70+ mods though without knowing which are those. Sure, SCS has compatibility issues with 2.6, but SCS already had issues prior to 2.6 anyway with the Smarter Mages regression introduced in 33.5 and 33.4 lacking WeiDU 247 compatibility.

  2. Can't figure out what's going wrong. Are you sure it wasn't a mod you installed to BGEE which added the spells to these characters (considering that you fiddled with EET's mod importer last week)?

SCS scripts are generated from the spellbook's actual content, so yes, it is SCS which enables the use of these spells but I don't think that it was also SCS which added them.

The Mutamin in my installation has Mirror image, Ghost Armor, Remove Magic, Magic Missile, Blindness, Charm Person, Chromatic Orb, Sleep, Power Word: Sleep, Melf's Acid arrow, Glitterdust, Monster Summoning I and Icelance only. My Silke also has Minor Sequencer (loaded with Charm Person), Mirror Image, Haste, Ghost Armor, Invisibility, Vocalize, Chromatic Orb, Sleep, Magic Missile, Charm Person, Power Word: Sleep, Dire Charm, Hold Person, Emotion: Hopelessness and Confusion only.

Also not relevant to this discussion, but: your installation order is wrong, NPC_EE can't pick up kits which were installed after it and should be installed after all the kits have been installed.

    Adding my logs for reference.

  3. We need a Git repo for this and I think he should be heading it. Although I acknowledge this always seemed way too huge for a single person I fear (even when documented) to finish especially nowadays when every capable modder is busy with their own stuff.

I've already considered wrapping up a GUI tutorial for Git based on GitExtensions due to @Andrea C. also mentioning on SHS that he got frustrated with the CLT interface (and I can count the amount of times I used the CLT on one hand after I started using GitExt in 2011, and I seen that a fair amount of modders in the OpenRA community also found GitExt more intuitive than GH Desktop) but yeah, I always end up doing other stuff.

I would work on this but I know that my coding skills are still not up to the standards this one would require.

  4. I suspect this might be TuTu or BGT or something along from the old era changing the Star Sapphire from the locked chest to a Pearl (similarly to how the Albert and Rufie rewards varied between the versions). I went through my ToTSC GoG install's AR2617 and it doesn't have a Pearl.

Also, the guard dialogue does refer the star sapphire anyway.

  5. Due to kit mods going before the tweak mods and tweak mods going before SCS and some NPC mods expecting the kit mods being installed prior (Emily for example), I wouldn't install any kit or tweak mod after EET_End. I tend to go with kit->NPC->tweaks ordering in general. That category would be really confusing anyway because it would promote bad installation orders (technically a lot of tweaks can go before kitmods, but then the newer kits get omissioned from the tweaks and causes bugs, like how Sandrah breaks all the proficiency revamp mods).

In fact, I think that after EET_End and SCS, only NPC_EE and Dual_To_Kit should be installed (technically m7multikit could be between SCS and NPC_EE since that assumed nothing and mixed kits based upon their actual state, acknowledging tweaks and whatnot but m7multikit never worked to me properly with the HLA tables, might need an update due to Weidu 247). Maybe my soundmods but I already feel that unclean somewhat. And if I want to "open" the installation, I just rebuild it instead, exactly to prevent errors (which allows me taking the bugfix updates as well). Yes, I know it's unfun but since PI has WeiDU.log importing, it's not really as bad as it sounds, thankfully.

  6. It should. EET_End overrides all lines which have "EET Installation State" defined with the value set to 2. My best guess would be that you made the edit at the wrong moment (personally I tend to change engine.lua after EET_End). It could be that WeiDU didn't picked it up due to some reason.

  7. Oh, I completely overlooked Lava's new NPCs lacking EET compatibility (and yet I looked at them when I started campaigning for mod NPCs having correct voicesets in BGEE). I'm not sure what his plans are regarding that - this wasn't brought up in Walahnan's topic s atleast. I'd skip those myself for now. I've never played with Glam's NPCs myself.

Ideally, at least 2-3 additional copies could be findable in BG1 regardless of whether Gorion is wearing them. Two good candidates I can think of off the top of my head would be one of the Thayvian wizards in that one northeastern area where they go hostile upon seeing you (I believe all of them are wearing resistance robes already, there may be a duplicate), and then there's probably someone on Shandalar's island that would also be a good choice. Another good option might be that one mage who summons slimes outside of the mines exit east of Nashkel.

What about Arkushule (ARKUSH.cre), the palm reader at the lighthouse? She's wearing a red Robe of Cold Resistance currently which even makes her associated with the Red Wizards by color (which I doubt she is).

  9. Do we know which mod's strings ended up remaining at 297499? This list is huge and it would be cool if we could somehow decrease the scope to figutre this out (assuming this can be reproducible in a second install).

  10. The version available through that tool is an unofficial version and I'm aware it cut content prior but it is quite possible that TDDz itself a fair amount of issues it had from TDD via cutting content. TDD is an old abandoned mod and TDDz probably needs a recode to suit modern knowledges and all that, but the community has no capacity to keep up with it.

  11. @subtledoctor Nerogami on G3 Discord noticed the Wondrous Recall component could change the Potion of Insight description even if the potion itself was untouched (which could happen because @Bartimaeus's Spell Revisions Revised does not create potn43.spl but it adds the marker file, which exposes the accidental misplaced block).

Filed a PR to only update the item description if the spl is changed.

  12. Okay, I've seen a very similar error with a different guy on Discord earlier today, when Tweaks Anthology just stuck there during the WeiDU update step.

The solution there was to manually update WeiDU to v247. So download https://github.com/WeiDUorg/weidu/releases/download/v247.00/WeiDU-Windows-247-amd64.zip and override setup-cdtweaks.exe with the included weidu.exe. I'm not sure why that worked there, but it did.
