Lower Resistance and Give anti-magic area of effect

Strange. I installed the component to give anti-magic a small area of effect because I ran into a few mages that cast improved invisibility and Spell immunity: divination as well as stone skin and globe of invulnerability so I could not hurt them at all with my lower-level mage (or anybody). It came in really handy on several occasions.

Then I began running into an issue with Lower Resistance. That spell became area of effect as well, and now I can't make it do anything to Golems at all. The Adamanite Golems in the Windspear hills were a real roadblock. I would usually lower its resistance several times then hit it with a few skull traps, but lower resistance has no effect on them whatsoever, for some strange reason. I managed to kill it by spawning myself an Imprisonment scroll and that got rid of the Golem fairly easily... but I should still be able to lower its resistance.

Here's my weidu.log - I used the BWP Fixpack before installing mods.

Imo It could be interessing to boost amandine golem : more range in melee (to avoid hit them with a two handed weapon without be touch = so lame) and maybe also a ranged attack (like in tactics). Amandine golems are so pitiful in many places.

You could give them 1hp/round regen and it would be impossible!
You mustn't. SCS and IA have different concepts, so don't you go mixing them together.

Agreed in this case. I am vaguely in the market for creative ideas about golems, though - the fact that they can't fit through doors is damn hard to work around.

I'd agree with the Tactics remix (give them ranged attacks). I suppose another variant of the IA route would be to allow them to summon lesser golems, but unless you remove the XP from these lesser varieties this could just lead to golems being XP farms.

Imo, melee attacks range should be at least same as a two handed sword.

Another option could be to place amandine golems in large map with no doors. Amandine golem in corridors is inconsistent, I think especially about one in Firgraak's lair. ( it's a shame that so many fight in BG2 take place in corridors or exiguous places)

Bumping goliro.itm's range to - say, 4 or so could help a bit. That juggernaut ought to have a bit of reach, 1 is rather ridiculous

(Hm, that may of course have side-effects like the golem deciding to attack the second-rank cleric healer instead of the front-rank tank. Ngh. Does AI take reach into account?)
