...which can be found officially at the last game: Icewind Dale 2.

And also, is it possible to mod all BG games, so that they will use 4th edition of AD&D rule set?

Thank you, and sorry for noob questions.

Well, we have IWD Tutu which takes IWD and brings it to the IWD2 version of the engine.

We also have the IWD in BG2 conversion which brings IWD to the BG2 version of the engine.

4th edition? I have no idea.

maybe someday with gemrb, but I doubt anyone would bother with such a big project.

4th Edition D&D sucks anyway. I prefer good old 2.5 and 3.

3.5e FTW! No other edition of the rules is worth anything, IMHO.

(YMMV)

Speaking of "2.5", there's probably still plenty of good material from the Players Option series of books that would make nice additions to BG games...

Kids these days. The only real D&D is the Greyhawk pamphlet. Oh, and Blackmoor. Version 0.0, I believe.

I thought the latest = better? I like 4th because it adds huge elements IIRC while a long ago I played Icewind Dale. Nevertheless, it's just personal matter I guess.

It's really not.

Would you actually play the BG2 without any kits ?

As for the Infinity Engine, the BGII - ToB has the most advanced Infinity Engine... what comes to the running of things. The IWDII doesn't even have party joining feature... while the BG1 has already been converted to BGII - SoA & ToB engines(EasyTutu - SoA, - ToB & BGT-WeiDu), the IwD is in progress via the IWDinBG2, and there's few other BGII - ToB based projects.

So essencially, they already are...
