SoDBeGone.zip 868.78 kB · 103 downloads Hello there! I installed this tweak over my EET game with many other mods (did a full BG1 playthrough, all was fine) and loaded save right after Sarevok's death. I was then transfered to Shadows of Amn as expected, but my companions (Jaheira, Imoen, Minsc) seem to retain all their equipment they finished BG1 with. It is not an intended behaviour, is it? Can I just throw all the stuff away and move on naked, as intended, or is it broken for me somehow? Like am I not going to find Helm of Balduran where it's normally is in BG2 etc? Thanks! Fouinto
It's strange. I always play with a full custom party and they are all striped when arriving Chateau of Irenicus. My last play with Jaheira, Imoen, Minsc is so far... SoDBGone has been created after that... However, I see no impact if you strip them and move on with them "naked". Helm of Balduran should be in the expected chest. Quote Link to comment

I just figured a way to teleport to the epilogue of SoD through dev menu (that one on the previous page of this thread) and it seems amasing, will certainly work for me. Will just go this way and no need for a mod then. Quote Link to comment
Fouinto
Indeed, If it's works, it's even better ! Quote Link to comment

Only works in SoD chapters, though. Edited September 4, 2019 by Fouinto Changed my first post to target Ardanis's post. Quote Link to comment
ghostdog
Thanks, I hadn't realized you could skip any chapters as you wanted. Quote Link to comment
Lauriel
Thank you for this info. I'm in the SoD-Hater club, too. Thank you for the way to skip it. Thank you thank you! As a role player, my first question when SoD starts is, 'And why exactly am I here again? Are they paying me or something? Guess not. Why am I here then? There was a little place in Beregost I was thinking of renting. Caelar who? Skie is my problem exactly why? I'm so outta here. Come along Imoen.' I gotta learn how to mod - I gotta. There has to be a smart-ass way to move out of the ducal palace and tell them to kiss the hero's backside as she walks out the door. Granted, we all still be caught by Irenicus, but that'll happen no matter what and this way we're not accused of murder on top of it. But thank you again! Merci beacoup! Danke shoen! Muchas gracias! This comes a little late, but my SoD Tweakpack includes the possibility to skip Korlasz's Crypt, and the BG City part you can circumvent just by telling Corwin that you are ready to march now. You don't have to collect NPCs to meet them in front of the palace the moment the coalition starts marching, and I think they are also in the first camp by default. Quote Link to comment
Daxtreme
Hey guys, If you skip SoD are you barred from entering Baldur's Gate afterwards, or only if you play through it? Quote Link to comment
Fouinto
LOL, I don't remember... Am pretty sure it depends on the way you skip SoD : this way you can go Back to BG, this way you can't. I have no savegame to check ATM. Quote Link to comment

This made me chuckle. I would seriously consider installing such a mod if it exists - I wanted to like SoD, but honestly, there were a lot of parts (especially the start) where I wanted to respond exactly like this. Any progress on such, or is it out there somewhere @Lauriel? Quote Link to comment

jastey
@ithildurnew FWIW, EndlessBG1 also offers a possibility to skip SoD completely, which will be better integrated in an upcoming version (with goodbye dialogues of the NPCs and actually showing the abduction scene). Transitions mod also offers a possibility to skip SoD midway, though. Quote Link to comment
