  1. I wouldn't recommend such a thing, as it's not according to the instructions of the mods install help: You can always uninstall it if it's the G3 weidu mod...
  2. 1. Correct. 2. About five to ten Gigabytes. It's a bit more that both of the games combined, but not a whole a lots, and you can the uninstall both of the games after the install is complete.
  3. I stole this from another topic, but because it's related to this, and not the original topic, I place it here. I wish you all the good things I have, so you get to retreave that data intact. Can it be at least used to set say Aeries class in a BG2EE game ? If yes, that's half of the victory already there, as the original NPCs are far more important to most players than the BG2EE's EE NPCs. I don't have an EE installs on this computer so I unfortunatelly can't help you just now, but I am sure that if you take volunteers, there will be a list of BG1EE and BG2EE users lining up if you just say so. Ouh, and so your job won't be finnished anytime soon, you'll also get the Baldur's Gate: Siege of the Dragonspear NPCs to include when that comes out, and then you get to deal with the EET NPCs too. Good luck, hopefully I didn't scare you away.
  4. Then that is to be as expected as the command doesn't list the original source of the file, just the backups it makes. And the first is never usually made as the game files can have it,or it doesn't exist, so it can't be made.
  5. You forgot to include the output file...To make the directory and the out put to file in that folder, it's best to use: mkdir change-log WeiDU.exe --log nul --change-log dw#shwe3.itm >change-log/change-log.txt --out change-logThis of course is command line programming, so the easiest way to get it to work is to make a new .txt file, rename it as a something.bat, and run it in the game folder that has a weidu.exe in it.
  6. There's a legend that someone already did that... I would say that CrevsDaak had done that, or a lot of work towards it, but he went silent about this subject some time ago: So you might ask of it ..
  7. It too will have it's own v1.4 patch when the SoB is released, or just before it. So the games can actually work together... yep there will be a patch for BG1EE, and BG2EE. And the kit.ids are likely to be the very same, even when the BG1EE doesan't have a bear kitted NPC to support. Anyways, back to topic from now on....
  8. 1. Well, then you have to reinstall your mods, and restart the game, just like with all the other patches before this. 2. Well, like I said, the kit.ids file needs to be semisimilar, I can make you a ten BS kits that you can install in the place of the BS NPCs kits. It's not optimal for the player, but the NPCs with their own kits are not optimal either for various of reasons. You can also set the NPC to use the kit of your choise with copying the .cre file and editing the offset at 0x0244... and the function generally used for that is also aware of the install order of the kits.
  9. Or you could just fill the BG1EE game with a few psuedo kits so that the BG1EE's and BG2EE's kit.ids files match perfectly. Also if I remember it correctly, the weidu.exe was made to not set the custom kits to the variables the EE kits were set to, so you probably will be OK even if you just use the same kit install list, as the kits will be added to use the kit ids'es that start at 0x4000+y, y being the number the kit was installed as of, for this very reason.
  10. Well, the Enhanced Edition's Trilogy(or actually quadtrilogy) is the EET mod, soon will shall have BGQTE's ... , not BGT-weidu... if we look it from the BGSoB parpective. Of course the EE patches could just set the kits to be those of SoB after the patch is applied at least in the tables, so there wouldn't be any need to deal with the kit continuity.
  11. It's not exaclty a real suit of armor or it would likely have AC modifies for different types of weapons. It's a semi-protective conjuration that floats in the air before the summoner, like a shield that's held up by nothing just above the skin. It's not entirely corporeal. See power ranger armor. -Don't nag, I didn't wake up this morning knowing I would say that and get nagged about it.
  12. Can you tell us wht you had in the line 33 before you replaced it with that ? As it's likely that as different people install different things, just naming the line number won't help everyone.
  13. He is literally sailing home... he has a birthday today by the by. But those are non-weapon magical items, so is the WS supposed to be able to use them ? And does the barbarian know what the shield is actually used for... "He is going to use the shield, yeah?" "As a hammer, yeah.." So is this a class feature or just unremoved feature due to the component update.
  14. It's likely that yes, from looking backwards, Demi might not be reacting to each individual post in a timely fashion as apparently he has something called Real Life, I personally don't know what that is or what it even consists of, but it's good to consider it as a part of him. But you should also know that when the time comes, eventually as he resurfaces that each post will likely be considered even if they are not directly replied to, so keep on posting if you find stuff. And in the mean time, if you have questions, you are welcome to ask them from the forum, and hopefully you get a helpful answer.
  15. Well, I guess mike(or Demi... or someone) made Daggers to be usable to cleric multi/dual classes... so if the change didn't actually get fully processed, that would explain the reason.
  16. Well, not exactly, because of a single word used in the above... Because that's the only word that matters in the above sentence ... as you have no other option... essentially. Consider how much it would wreak havoc in BG2's moding. But consider, reading the items name. What's special about the word, how would you set it to the item... I am sure that if you had a better proposition for the stats, you could bring those up. Yes, that's implied. Not said strait ... cause the imp needs to lie sometimes.
  17. No. YOU CAN, that's the important part...as the code works in both orders. Duh. Even the "comp_sr" should read as "compatibility code for Spell Revision, if it's installed"... As for the shield, the appearance is probably because a Dwarves you know, wouldn't need a tower shields to protect their whole body... the medium shield is big enough to be them, being half the size and so forth.
  18. Ahh you mean the trigger spells actual effects casting time... which should be instant (0/10) and not 1/10 of a 6 second period(in 30fps)... yeah, there you are correct.
  19. Kinda yes, as they should be casted before the battle, not during them... as their effects last considerable time, and they allow the caster then cast instantly x amount of spells, so the only way to balance that is to set a requirement that their casting is interruptible. For the player. The spell can and needs to be casted before you see any enemies... The reason why the AI enemy can insta cast these spells is that they simulate the effect of having casted the spells before they saw you, say at the start of each day. The BG2 games world is not good enough to simulate that realistically, so the insta cast is kinda the only way to walk abouts the curves thrown at it.
  20. Yeah. But the idea is that as the frame is larger, you can place more stuff into it. Anyways, I don't thing that the idea of having more than 5 NPCs in a chat(as in participate into a single dialog is going to be the main attraction of this, but having more and especially different kinds of dialogs between the party members, due to the fact that there's more of them is the main point, kinda like jastey implied. I'll say that about 10 is more than enough for this and also the tactical fi.. ok it's more like berserker mode x2 with "who gets killed todays?" ... ghting. :D
  21. Try a different kind of character... not the class&kit combo you prefer, but say a base fighter and a mage and a druid of somekind, if it still crashes in each of them, then you might have a problem that should be investigated ... and can be, if you just add the specifics, weidu.log's info, class & kit info etc.
  22. Well, the picture is in 713px × 542px size... at say 1024x768 with is the largest working screen mode without the Widescreen mod, you have enough to fill in the 2 others.
  23. Are you sure... cause you should be getting the first at level 1, then another at level 5, and then additional at levels: 9, 13, 17, 21, 25, 29, 33 and 37.
  24. Did you rest recently ? And what mods do you have installed ? Weidu.log's content will show that up. You can open the file with Notepad.
