  1. A question for the best way to make Imoen as a Trickster 10 dual Mage in BG2. I noticed that Imoen will be auto-dual to mage at 7 level Trickster (from the Artisan Kitpack MOD) in BG2, as I plan to dual her at level 10 in BG2, I'm not sure what will be the safest way to achieve this. So far the options I know that can change an NPC class or Kit are: - NPC EE MOD - Level 1 NPC MOD - EE Keeper Any advice will be much appreciated.
  2. I will definitely use this mod someday but probably not now, as I'm waiting for more crossmod content, and because I will bring imoen for the druid quest this time. Currently I'm looking for a temporary npc for doing those chapter 2 quests that have no imoen's comments and can make the questing in chapter 2 more interesting. Ideally I hope he/she can have banters with skie...Hephernaan should be a good option but now I'm not so sure...
  3. Thanks, it is really a great help to be able to know this. Sometime it is quite difficult to make a decision as there are too many promising NPC mods I almost confirmed I will bring Skie in BG2 this time, as I need some connections to SOD in BG2 in order to find the motivation to go through SOD again. At least I have Endless BG1 in BG1 for similar purpose. I'm very interested to bring Khalid along as I see he has 10 crossmod banters with Skie. However, I definitely like Imoen more than anyone else. I guess I can just leave this MOD out this time, considering that I will almost install the Skie MOD in every future playthrough... Probably can use Ctrl+I to trigger the banters that time. I may also keep Herphenaan MOD for another evil playthough...so that I can bring Aerie this time (half cleric role) who has more interactions with Imoen... Maybe can add the Wing MOD to get more content for her... Skie Eddard Jaheira Aerie Imoen....probably a good setup for this time...
  4. Some questions I would like to ask, as I'm planning for my next BG2EE run. 1) Anyone has experience with imoen romance mod before? Do you think this mod is designed for a play-style that you should rescue your sister ASAP or otherwise (finish all quests in chapter 2 first without imoen). I would prefer to experience most of the quest or npc specific banters and interjections. 2) I'm going to use Lava's Khalid MOD in my next game, as this MOD makes Jaheira dies instead of Khalid, do you think there will be consistency issue with Imoen Romance MOD? I heard Imoen Romance added a lot of talks and cutscene for Imoen, and if any of these mention the death of Khalid, I would probably not using Imoen Romance this time. 3) How viable is a party without cleric class for a game with SCS+SR, more specifically starting from the part when Imoen rejoins. I would probably still bring a cleric when doing all of the quests in Chapter 2.
  5. I still keep this installation because I know probably I will still return to it one day, probably a speed run, after finishing my first ascension playthrough (hopefully don give up again in this latest run).
  6. It is not a review, but just some own thoughts on why I gave up the previous run and plan to start a new one... I didn't expect to return and start another playthrough so soon this year after burning out when I finished SOA around a half year ago. The main reasons are: - a natural thing to happen before any TOB run - I spent too much time in SOA due to the tremendous amount of QUEST mod installed, while I enjoyed most of them, I don't really like the last one that I cleared all of its quests before finishing SOA...my motivation reduced at that time, and I probably won't write a review for that. I also got jaded with end-game fights with SCS insane difficulty, the mage chess is fun for my first BG2 with SCS playthrough, but slightly less this time. I still feel bad to be honest, because again, I gave up the opportunity to play my first Ascension version TOB, and I quite like to see the story of my female PC with Ajantis in TOB. I would probably still find out my draft and screenshots to see whether I can still write something for him. I truly like his SOA part, as I feel that it is probably the most enjoyable romance MOD that I have experienced in BG series so far. I would rate it A- for my own experience if I write a review. I remember I wrote a review for Eilistraee's Song, should find it back... I should also write a general review for the Mazzy Mega MOD... There are many enjoyable moments but some make me cringe... ==== Anyway, currently, I am simply interested to start a no unrealistic precast playthrough with SCS and Spell Revision MOD and see how far I can enjoy it. I will also reduce the quest MODs significantly, for example, I have only added romantic encounters (never use it before), BGQE, Seatower, and Endless BG1 for my current BG1 run. This is the first time I use vanilla NPC solely (with BG1 NPC MOD) and I kinda enjoy the strong vanilla feeling. Generally, they are more relatable compared to a completely new NPC. I'm also very interested to try a BG2 playthrough that is more connected to SOD with some of Lava's newer MOD. So far I have tested and consider using the following: - Khalid - Skie and her brother - Hephernaan I'm still considering whether I should bring Imoen with Imoen Romance MOD for this playthrough... If anyone uses this MOD before, I would appreciate it if you can share your opinion on whether it will be compatible (story-wise) with the Khalid MOD, as I am afraid she will talk about dead Khalid. I have considered Nalia Romance MOD, but I heard Skitia is writing the TOB part now, so probably I should wait. I have considered Branwern BG2 MOD, but I don't really like her romance part in BG1, so I hesitated. I have considered to bring Solaufein again, but my last impression is he is too talkative in a very short amount of time after leaving Underdark.. The only quest MOD that I would probably use is the BG2 Romantic Encounter MOD (never use before), try to minimize the quest mod this time. I'm not sure whether Khalid, Skie, and Hephernaan will have interactions in some of Lava's quest MODs. Thank you for sharing this, this app is indeed fun to play with, I used it to modify the portrait of the NPCs that I'm going to use in this run, and I'm quite surprise with what I can achieve without effort or skill. It can be used to make drastic or subtle change to make the NPC looks younger, older, smoother etc while keeping some vanilla feel, quite customizable. Some examples I did for my game (except the Jaheira one): In real game:
  9. Honestly, NPCs that are liked by 13 yo girls or boys are highly likely good NPCs. I still consider some of the NPCs I like when I was around that age very well written after getting older.
  10. I started to think, this problem could be random, or related to location or something else. I was using the console of Ctrl+I to trigger banters (for testing purpose on the other MOD), and I triggered one banter between Solaufein and Viconia where everything is normal. However, after reloading the game and played normally, that banter appeared again naturally, but only the first line this time.
  11. Updated one banter with Mazzy above (similar to those I reported earlier).
  12. Just to report, I noticed that these banters only showed the first dialogue (bold ones) and the remaining won't appear.
  13. Bridge District is definitely a must install for my future game --- Replayed Sellsword with 4 vanilla companions this time and still enjoy it very much, probably even more than my first run. This MOD is one of the MODs with more interjections, something I like. I particularly like Viconia's one this time. There are so many NPC MODs I haven't tried, but it is probably a good idea to bring vanilla NPCs for MOD quests (in my future play-through as well), just to see the interjections. Also keep up the hope day one day Solaufein may say something here, he must be really annoyed that the PC brings him to Underdark so soon

  16. I think I know when this happened after tracing back the global of my early save games. His global was correct initially. However, at one time, he was imprisoned by the lich in the Unseeing Eye dungeon. I returned to surface to buy a freedom scroll, returned to the area he disappeared, and freed him. After that, his global changed to 129. I also tried correcting the global before meeting Bodhi (to 0), and the abduction scene triggered flawlessly. The global also remained as 0 after the event.

  19. I will check later. Just to inform that I also noticed one minor problem yesterday- there is a talk that my pc agreed to return the shield. But I found that the shield was unequipped and left in Ajantis's inventory after the talk. Probably good thing to some people who want to keep it though.
  20. I don't know anything about modding, but I did some experiment in editing the BODHIAMB.dlg file and managed to trigger the abduction scene. I run a test play quickly to see whether everything is alright after that, until Ajantis rejoin the party in the temple of Helm... What I did was changing the above mentioned lines in the BODHIAMB.dlg file to the following : I'm not sure whether this is safe though
  21. What does these lines mean? I found that I have this talk 52 in my game, but it does not proceed to 53, it proceeds to 6.
