Guest guest
Am i correct in saying that BG1 tweaks is all of the stuff from bg2 tweaks that was either for both bg1/bg2 or just bg1, and you've put it such components into a separate package to make things easier? Or are there differences? New things? Link to comment

Or are there differences? New things? For your first question, for the most part yes. There are many things from the BG2 Tweak Pack, but a few from the IWD Tweak Pack as well. Some components could not be converted because of engine limitations, so it's not "all the stuff" from the former. For example, Commoners Use Drab Colors and Breakable Shields, Armors and Helms couldn't be converted. Even if the mod contents aren't on the Home Page, the Read Me should give you some idea of how many actually managed to make the cross-over. I've also added a couple new tweaks, and converted another component from SCS that is a very nice addition (these will be in the next release). I also hope to add new components as time goes by, as has been done with the BG2 and IWD mods. Link to comment

Ah, I see now...I just read the readme properly now; this mod is for a non-tutu, non-BGT, i.e. BG1 engine game only? It says to continue using bg2 if you have those 2 modifications installed...If this is so, well done, i hear that bg1 has far less tools to work with and is harder than bg2! I thought you had simply put the components that were bg1 only from bg2tweaks and that was it. Link to comment

You're right, it has far fewer mods than BG2/BGT/Tutu. I found only one other tweak pack, and it was old with only a few components, and dropped everything into the Override folder. That's what got me interested in this. More components, and patching instead of overwriting. As for BG1 being harder, maybe for modding (fewer options in the .ids files) but not for play. Maybe it's the simplicity that keeps me playing it. I hope you enjoy my efforts. Link to comment

Hey grogerson (and anyone else interested), If it helps, I'm kind of a collector of vanilla BG1+TotSC mods with about 30 different add-ins, fixpacks, tweaks, and mods (still far less than BG2). But as far as other BG1 Tweak Packs go, you should check out these (if you haven't already): 1) BG1TweakPack v1.0 at http://forums.chosenofmystra.net/index.php?topic=1516.0 2) BG1Ease-of-Use v2.1 at http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/dl.php?s=BG...BG/BG1-ease.zip 3) iiTweak v.08 at http://www.teambg.eu/forum/index.php?board=32.0 4) Mix-Mod v5.0 at http://america.iegmc.net/borsook/ 5) Made-in-Heaven v.06 at http://www.pearlgates.net/specials/made_in_heaven/ (this site is down, but I still have it) 6) Pro5Tweaks v2.0 at http://www.shsforums.net/index.php?autocom...mp;showfile=659 (it works with BG1/BG2/BGT/Tutu) And of course your awesome BG1 Tweaks here at G3! Let me know if you need help finding other BG1 mods, but check out this PPG link for more help: http://modlist.pocketplane.net/index.php?a...st&cat_id=1 Cheers, LoneRogue Link to comment

cmorgan
Theaceface got slammed with exams. Setting up a release right now. (And I think I probably owe you a look through that bardic rep adjustment stuff - pm me when you get a chance - things are slipping through the cracks ) Edit: ok, you are up and live. Congratulations! Please check through all the links, posted docs, etc. and nitpick so we can get things right. Link to comment

Just looked things over, and Leomar has pm'd me on this, the readme is still the beta1 version. I've yet to check the download links. I'll pm you with anything else I find that needs tweaking on the mod pages. Link to comment
jastey
The v1 should be updated to WeiDU v213 for the game detection to work in all cases: http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?s...mp;#entry163718 Link to comment
chuft
Hi, I am playing BG1 (5 disc version) with TotSC as well, the official TotSC patch, the BG1 Tweaks version 3, and the BG1 Fixpack found here: http://sasha-altherin.webs.com/baldursgatefixpack.htm Overall it has been a very smooth experience. I have noticed one odd thing, though: Minsc's Stealth is only 10%. It started at 10% at level 1, he is now level 8, and it is still 10% (20% if he puts on the gloves that give you 18 Dexterity). I leveled him up seven times over the course of the game, and his Stealth never increased, and indeed started below the 25% it is supposed to. I have tried taking off all his equipment, to no effect. I have googled around a bit and have seen no other reports of this problem. Any idea what could cause something like this? Thanks. Link to comment
