Just finished Wyrm's Tooth. Kontik's Ring of Wizardry doesn't double any level of spells. It's worn by a dual class barbarian turned mage.

 

As for Melf's Minute Meteors, I selected it to cast but the spell casting icon failed to light up and I could not cast it.

Possible bug with the high level spell/ability Energy blades.

Along with setting your number of attacks to 10 (which it should)

Its also giving double movement speed while the blades are active (which it shouldnt, according to the spell description)

Can someone test ice storm?

Once cast it seems to be ticking for damage 3 times as opposed to once for 3-30hp.

And each tick is doing more than a third (1-10)

Finished up with Marketh's Palace, and only one bug presented itself. I convinced Flozum to leave for another career, but after dealing with Marketh he arrived with the Hosttower mages. I didn't mind getting two Girdles of Stromnos, but dealing with him sorta interfered with my dealing with those mages...

Two more items to note. Valestis doesn't recognize the arboretum is restored. Globals for the water, seeds, squirrels and birds are set to 1, arbor_total set to 4. He should leave...

 

After my trip to Severed Hand and Kuldahar I returned to Lower Dorn's and was attacked by four fire salamanders and eight shadow thieves, respawns.

Still having issues with Lysan sorry.

 

This time I did it differently, in that I didnt visit Lysan's cave before hand to clear out the excess yeti.

 

So i entered the cave for the first time, expecting to be swarmed by yeti - yet(i) there were none! (haha pun)

I waited a good 15-20 sec for yeti to spawn before I walked forward.

As soon as I spotted Lysan it cut to the 'cutscene' but then nothing happened. just me and my party standing around at the bottom of the screen, and Lysan standing at the top.

No dialog, no way of getting out of the cutscene.

 

Reloaded, tried sneaking up to her and speaking to her. same deal. she had nothing to say and in a second or two it would cut to the cutscene with no dialog and just halt there.

I'd not worry about it, it's pretty likely it might be because of the component ~BG2_TWEAKS/SETUP-BG2_TWEAKS.TP2~ #0 #3200 // Sellable Items (Icelus): v9. The BiG World .pdf states "This component could cause some issue with BG1 stores and BG1 stores from mods. You may

get some items with no icons and values, so you cannot buy them." So.. yeah. Sorry for the inconvenience.

 

The tweakpack also has a new component (very much work-in-progess) that introduces a BG2-style journal. (It won't retroactively correct your existing journal if you're mid-game).

Oh I love that! I've been meaning to ask about that for ages, but I didn't want to pile work on you. I detest the IWD journal, so splitting it into an Active Quest / Completed Quest / Journal is awesome.

 

- no Biography if you choose the default soundset. (I have no idea about this one.)

Yeah, I can reproduce this. Watch this space, I'll investigate further. (This is the Bug that Will Not Die...)

 

Incidentally, the normal yetis are cleared out in vanilla IWD if you only enter Lysan's cave after speaking to Kresselack, so that's not a bug.

Good luck with the bug that will not die :O)

We all appreciate the effort you are putting out in fixing these things.

 

p.s. that issue I was having with death fog went away when i exported my characters and restarted the game - must have been some glitch embedded in the save game. Can now happily deathfog goblins till they turn purple and die.

Version 7.10 is now out, and fixes Lysan (I hope...), Flozem, Kontik's ring, the Arboretum, and Ice Storm. The latter is a bit of a workaround - the problem is because BG2's Ice Storm projectile is hardcoded to apply the effect for four rounds. I've replaced it with an invisible projectile. When I get around to packaging v8 I'll try to build a better one, but it's awkward for me to build new projectiles without rereleasing the full converter.

 

Grogerson, I'm leaving the Dorn's Deep respawns alone for now. The IWD game files definitely indicate a respawn in AR8001. It's possible that this is overridden in vanilla IWD at the engine level, but it's going to be a bit of work to find out and I don't want to have to do it just yet.

If it's supposed to happen in vanilla, then let it alone. Seems this conversion may have been a good thing, since it wouldn't be the first thing to work better (and these little things make the game more interesting)...

Just tried Lysan again.

She now speaks properly, and discussions - combat initiates properly.

 

But during combat I summoned some skeletons. After Lysan died they ran off up to the top of the map (just out of my fog range).

Turns out they went and attacked the ghost/shade that was supposed to talk to me.

So when i moved forward the game went to the cut scene, with the shade, on the snowy ledge, getting beaten by 4 skeletons (and no dialog)

ROFFLES.

 

If i have no summoned creatures, or they are out of range of the ghost, this does not happen and the cut scene proceeds normally and successfully.

The surface of the Burial Isle works fine. The Ghost Shaman's cast spells, even on the wooden platform, and the Spirit Polar Bear roar was far more effective than I had expected. If not for a couple of summoned elementals I'd have lost that battle...

 

*sigh* Only one problem encountered. Edion's Ring of Wizardry is doubling third level spells instead of 5th level.

 

I've cleared the northeast section of the Barrows with no problems so far except possible graphic slowdowns.

I have encountered my first game-breaking bugs.

 

Returning from the Gloomfrost I found Angaar missing from the gate. CLUA'd him in and entered the camp.

 

After giving the mirror to not-Wylfene and the Seer's death, Wylfdene's body collapses as the spirit left it. The body rises, the lights come from it/pierce it, and it falls. I can hear the spirit leave but cannot see it. I then get an immediate CTD. Tried it twice with the same result.
