What is the differences between installing Chaos Sorcerer before or after Tome&Blood ? I was thinking to install Chaos Sorcerer before T&B, so it can "benefit" from T&B (like Revised metamagic, Revised Familiars, Sorcerer Spell Switching...).

I was wondering: did you remake other items too? If yes, would you consider releasing a component containing only icons?

@Guest Morgoth -- Nah, I double-checked again, and the new Vecna BAM is probably from the Arcane Treasury mod (github.com/Alexander12-creator/Arcane-Treasury-mod), not T&B. 

@subtledoctor -- Heya! Got weird CTDs in the BG2 portion of my EET installation and they're getting on my nerves. After extensive troubleshooting, I change-logged and narrowed it down to T&B. Thing is, for unknown reasons, the two arcane casters in my party (CHARNAME and Edwin) are getting a random selection of memorized spells every time the party rests even though neither has the free spell slots or had even scribed said spell in the first place. At first, it was just an inconvenience of them littering my actual spellbook, but now they've "upgraded" to crashing the game due to the sheer number of them appearing out of nowhere.

So, basically, the sheer number of these spells are making my game crash every time I try to rest. The game simply freezes and doesn't even play rest movie. My current workaround is to manually remove these spells in the NI, but they just keep coming back and when they do, they cause the CTD.

Pretty sure that guy is wrong. Very curious how he “checked,” because AFAIK no part of TnB affects item prices... or in fact any items at all.

Something is screwy in your game. I don't know what you installed  or how you have modified your characters, but from  your  screenshots it almost looks like the game is  treating them like multiclass sorcerers. But for that to happen, it needs to  be affirmatively activated, and the character needs to have a particular spellstate.

No, that's not crashing the game, or else multiclass sorcerers themselves would crash the game, which they don't. What is crashing your game is trying to rest with injured party members while you have >255 spells memorized. This is a known issue with the engine: it checks every memorized spell to see if it is a healign spell that can cure party members, but checking more than 255 spells for this causes a CTD. So the quick fix is to manually heal your party members before resting - voila, no more crash.

The longer term issue is why the game is trying to give these casters sorcerer abilities. I don't know if it salvageable, but I would try editing these characters in a savegame. Look  at the applied effects, and remove an op328 effects applying the "D5_SEMI_SORC" spellstate or anything similar; and remove any op177 effects applying the "D5XLOTS" .eff, or anything similar to that.

I very much recommend that you do NOT use EEKeeper to make these edits. In fact I kind of suspect that might be what caused this. EEKeeper makes undisclosed and unexplained changes to savegames, which can interfere badly with mods. Nobody seems to be able to explain exactly what it does or how mods can protect against the problems, and nobody is maintaining EEKeeper to fix it. So instead you should use Near Infinity.

Ye, now I know I was wrong. I just change-logged wa2robe.itm and found that:

...so I automatically assumed it was T&B changing Vecna's appearance. I was wrong. Now I know it was the Arcane Treasury mod.

Didn't change my character in any way beyond giving CHARNAME the Transmuter kit for her Fighter / Mage class. Ditto for Edwin. 

When cleaning the memorized spells, I noticed that both he and CHARNAME has many, many instances of "modify proficiencies" of PROFICIENCYBLACKJACK and "protection from spell" of D5_SEMI_DIVINE/SPLSTATE. Literally dozens of them, repeating. I've absolutely no idea what these might be; the fallout of the faux-sorcerer multiclass thing I've got going on, perhaps? But why SEMI_DIVINE then?

After I tinkered with the globals, though, I think I managed to stop the "many, many memorized spells" glitch. I deleted these globals, and I think that stabilized the game. I'll troubleshoot further, just in case.

Also, no worries. I've been an IE modder myself and I've been using just NI for a decade by now.

Does the Arcanist kit behave well together with Cantrips (61, 62, 63) and Revised Familiars (66-69) components? I'm asking because you mentioned that Arcanist spell casting works differently from base classes and for example component 62 (level 1 Cantrips) also directly interacts with spell casting, so I'm wondering if there are any conflicts. Thanks!

Well no, Revised Specialists is something different and can be installed side-by-side with the Arcanist. But yeah the 5E casting mod gives the characteristics of the Arcanist to every mage, bard, cleric, druid, ranger and paladin. It’s Arcanist-style casting for everyone.

I prefer the 5E casting style only for the Arcanist class (used by the PC), while leaving all other casters to regular 2E casting, so its TnB Arcanist over the 5E casting mod for me.

@SD: how about custom spells added by other mods, can they be used by the Arcanist?
