  1. Big World Project is not dead? @Leonardo Watson has some cycle times for updates and might not be available in between.
  2. There are two "quests" (more to be called encounters) added by the Grey mod. They can also be played and solved without Grey.

No to this - Grey is an own NPC with inventory and might carry stuff and be the group's tank etc. I understand that he quickly can be seen as "another dog companion following CHARNAME around" (and it's totally ok to play him that way, especially since I offer it with the 7th party member concept) but from original design he is a full-fledged party NPC so I will not make him leave unless the player dismisses him. It's good to hear that having them both is not too awkward, though. Thanks for the suggestions. It made me realize something else, too: NPCs reacting to Grey could - or should - react to Haiass' presence if they do, as well. At least it would make sense, after joining CHARNAME and seeing them walk around with a wolf and a wardog.

  5. If the "droppable" flag is checked I'm surprised it's unremovable. I wouldn't know what is going wrong there.
  6. That sounds useful indeed. I was a bit lazy and thought that this way I don't have to deal with similar problems in the future but so far, I don't think there are any similar instances.
  7. @subtledoctor Grey's kit is called ~C#WARDOG~. It makes sense for him to be able to get pips in dagger, hammer, and two weapon style (his teeth and paw).
  8. It's a gender choice given by the Engine. Female is 2 , Male is 1, Other is 3 and then there's also Neither, Illusionary, Summoned, and some more. It's original lines from the game, no idea why they are not spelled consistently. In BGT it's just an transaction using StrongestOfMale. Of course I could change that and add a check so that is not Grey, but then I wouldn't know how to check for the second strongest male. Also, by setting his gender I do not run into similar problems in the future.
  9. That was the only solution I could think of so SharTeel doesn't chose Grey as strongest male to fight her. Other solutions welcome. Concerning the pips I need to check, but originally he should only have knifes, hammers, and two weapon style available, I think. Hull's portrait: there is nothing I can do on BG1RE's side, I'm afraid. The "childhood friend" uses normal ingame scripts I guess, so if those make gim quaff a portion there is not much I can do (other than remove the potion from his inventory.) Thanks for the infos!
  10. Keep in mind that Roxanne does not communicate with other modders with regards to the best install order. I would take any modding advice from their site with a (huge) grain of salt.
  11. Ah, that's too bad. There is a syntax error in a mod added script (for whatever reason) so the Stutter Debug Tool is choking on it. You'd need a more specific version which only patches e.g. baldur.bcs or other scripts in question. The Stutter Debug Tool is cool as it patches all scripts and the player doesn't need to edit the mod file manually, but in the current version it fails if it finds a syntax error. I'm on my phone currently but will try to provide patching code for baldur.bcs later.

  13. For me Weimer's Solaufein was the first mod NPC I installed at all. My Solaufein concept is different than Weimer's, so you'll have to see whether you'll agree to it. Thanks for your interest!

  16. Kerzenburgforum Solaufein's Rescue - Jasteys Solaufein NPC Mod for BGII With this modification the game character Solaufein, drow fighter from Ust Natha, is extended to a joinable NPC. Before he can join, Solaufein has to be freed from drider chambers. This starting quest can be played independently to whether he should then join the group or not. (This is not Weimer's Solaufein NPC mod.) The mod is compatible with original BG2 (with ToB), BGT, BGII:EE, and EET. Solaufein can also follow as a '7th party member' in case your group already consists of 6 persons. More details about this please refer to readme. The second, optional mod component offers the possibility to give the game Solaufein in Ust Natha the mod's portrait. If you want to see this in the game, this component has to be installed after Weimer's Solaufein. The third, optional component is for BGII and BGT: If the main component of Infinity Animations is installed, this component will install and use the drider animations for the mod. Without this component, all driders in the mod will be displayed as drow. There is no loss in gameplay, other than it won't look as nice. For BGII:EE and EET the animations will be included and used automatically. The forth, optional component enables to install the alternative portrait for Solaufein. The fifth, optional component adds a reply option to Adalon's dialogue for elf PCs that will set the race by which Solaufein recognizes the PC as drow. Only install (and chose) this reply option if Solaufein should address your PC as a fellow drow. Both portraits are from Chinasky, with many thanks! Version 2.0 Beta comes with a full English version! But also some bugfixes, revised NPC banter and more reply options, as well as full compatibility with Lava's Eilistraee's Song mod (refer to readme for install order)!
