No worries, guys, I'll just wait for you to update whatever it needs to be updated I think I'm getting closer to a perfect set up, so I can wait a bit more. I'll fire up the game to see if I see weird UI behavior or Proficiencies misbehave. No rage quit this time, promise, this time will be properly documented bug report @subtledoctor any chance you could squeeze a bit of your time to cool this little mod allowing to rename proficiencies, you mentioned a day or two ago? It won't be a big deal if you won't do it, but it would make my day if you do

Weird though, because this uses the same code as TnB’s Revised Identify spell, so that should have thrown an error too... huh.
@subtledoctor didn't install Revised Identify because I remember there was some incompatibility with UI mod.

And I never would have been able to see or reproduce this error if I hadn't screwed up in testing it. That's amazing.
And I guess the method PI uses to invoke Weidu doesn't keep such variables in memory, the way a manual install of all those components together does.

Anyway I finished installation. Apart from usual FnP, MnG, Monastic Orders, RR, SCS, TotLM warrnings (all should be harmful) and this Refinements error I've got only one new warning from Will to Power (which I didn't install before). It's something like this (I used master branch, so it's possible it's a beta bug or sth):

Shouldn't be a problem I think. AFAIK it only let's you to summon NPC's to fight alongside you in the final ToB battle, right?

I also needed to upause installation few times on FnP, FnP Multiclass, MnG and Monastic Orders, because of those warnings I've reported before if that changes anything.

I quit the installer and ran it again.

Then I uninstalled the whole mod, and started over, this time properly skipping the cleric and druid HLAs as I originally intended. And everything installed perfectly, no errors!

That shouldn't happen. I don't know why it happens. But it's something to do with the installer itself. Not a bug in PI; but depending on how PI initiates the Weidu process, maybe it somehow triggers this behavior?
(Or, maybe your repeated attempts at different installations have not been on a completely clean game install? No offense, this is always a possibility.)
I clean an installation using Verify game feature of Beamdog installer on each game (BGEE, SoD and BG2EE). Only thing I did is I installed SoD to BG2EE Item Upgrade on BG2EE before running install order in PI.

There should be no difference between those two situations; but I swear I've seen it happen. And it's usually something to do with a variable not being processed correctly. I can only surmise that the reinstall can happen too fast, and variables don't get cleared. Or something. It's a weird thing, and hard to reproduce, and I don't know if it is mod-specific. But possibly force-installing mods via something like PI results in the same problem? One way to try to test: run the install again, but pause it between MnG and Refinements; then, after a few seconds, run the install from Refinements on.
If that's wrong and it is some kind of mod conflict, well, as I say it installed flawlessly for me. I posted my current Weidu.log over here, so you can look for suspects in the differences between yours and mine. (I'll also try to install it on my EET test install that I did to mimic your game, to rule out EET itself.)
@AL|ENis it possible what @subtledoctordescribed? It would be weird, because if it is like that I would expect PI choke on first Refinements component, not just selected few HLAs. Is it possible to force pause installation after specific mod, so I would not need to stare at the screen all the time and hope to pause in exact right moment after MnG?

It's exactly there, right between MnG and FnP multiclass. I didn't move it up or down, all I did is to add the main component which I peeviously forgot to add...

@subtledoctor I just realized that Refinements didn't install at all in my previous test installations because I didn't select component 11: Revised High Level Abilities -> Choose which classes get revised HLAs. But now after checking it I have a bunch of Refinements installation errors.

I actually like Valygar, but always thought him to be underdeveloped. His story could be expanded (it's actually quite fun) and his class really should be something different than bland ranger. I think there is a mod that expands his dialogs a bit (not Corthala Romantique), probably made by @Lava, but I forgot the name. I'd say, give the man a chance.
Edit: Ah yes, it was La'Valygar, which eventually became Valygar Friendship.

Fighter/Mystic combination looks good. I would also like to see a Magus run. I always wanted to find a perfect Fighter/mage combination, regular multiclass doesn't feel like a natural class. It would be fun to test his disadvantages, cause I feel casting time penalty seems severe. I for one play usually Spellcasters, so would love to see also a Cerebremancer run.

Yeah, I thought it might be one of @kjeron's. These are usually the only mods I don't know about (since as you've said, it's buried under tons of BD forum topics).
Anyway I've manage to run another test run, but probably it'll finish at night, so I'll probably check how it goes tomorrow. So far so good, no errors and warnings yet. I expect them to start around FnP and MnG (those warnings I experienced last time). Let's see.

Hopefully it's fine. For reference, for those experiencing installation issues, this sequence involved zero install errors. It wasn't quick to install them, but it was pretty painless, as long as I paid attention and remembered where I left off each time I went away. (This is not a full-time thign for me - I'm doing this in 20-minute spurts in between taking care of a couple kids in household isolation. If this thread trails off and I stop updating it, don't worry: it doesn't mean anything happened to me, it will just mean I went crazy.)
The only things left to do here are install NPC_EE, and the A7TextureConvert mod so that I can get area files and other .PVRZ files working on the iPad. before I do that, I'm going to ask a question: in the previous incarnation of this install, when I looked at the worldmap, the little graphics denoting an area I can visit were all black boxes. Anyone have an idea why? It seems like they didn't get converted, or they were not copied over to the iPad? (I copied over the /override and /worldmap folders.) Notably, the Southern Edge are installed by Lava's mod had the proper graphic; only the vanilla areas were messed up. This isn't the end of the world; I could still travel between areas just fine. but it made me worry that I missed something, or that A7TextureConvert didn't catch everything. @Luke, any idea what's up with that? Have you experienced that before?
Once I figure that out, I'll run A7TextureConvert, then NPC_EE. Then I'll transfer everything over to the iPad and start playing. At that point the question will be... what class to play?? What will this Charname be?
First of all, congratulations on finally playing this game! I'm glad I started this fun trend of other players share our installation process experience. I think this would benefit for other's experience, because it's not easy to set up proper installation order. On top of that it already resulted of a couple of mods being updated.
I would be very interested to read about psion run (whatever combination you choose) or some class with feats feature from MnG, since it's completely new territory to me. Would you plan to play solo run, full party, only 2-3 NPC's?

Olvyn also warns that METweaks:3205:Creatures without infravision have reduced visual range at night or in dark places may break AI, so I'm retrying with just METweaks:3200:Creatures without infravision have -4 THAC0 at night or in dark places, if it doesn't install, no problem. sword_and_fist:1:Monk Remix probably negates the need for METweaks:1000:Give Monks a cooler Deflect Missiles ability anyway so I'm removing it.
- tnt:10:Additions only will not work as it is not PI/EET ready. Looks like this is known and hopefully on roadmap. Has to be removed for now as it fails and halts the install order.
- EET_Tweaks:2052:Decrease to 50% failed, but can be replaced with scales_of_balance:2123:kills give half XP.

That sort of thing can be useful in many ways, for the kinds of mods I tend to make. But if it finds a spell with opcode 206 and timing mode 1 whose duration is already 60, it spits a NO EFFECTS ALTERED! warning. Not because something went wrong, only because it found a spell that doesn't need any patching. That doesn't matter to me - I use the function as a filter, and the filter is working!
You can avoid such warnings by adding "INT_VAR silent = 1" to the function. But, these functions appear approximately 3,000 times in each of my mods (okay that's very approximate... but, it's a lot) so it's hard to find each and every one to suppress the warning.
I suppose what we should really do is modify the function itself to omit such warnings... but that would take time, I would really need to thoroughly understand how it works, so that changing it doesn't create bugs. This is possible... but not in the short-term.
No worries, take your time! I hoped it might be an easy fix.

Well, sure, if it's possible to handle this via PI, I'm all for it! I was asking @subtledoctorabout it, because he mentioned that he "should probably silence those warnings" (quote not accurate, from memory). I wasn't even sure if this can be handled by PI.

@subtledoctorany chance you could fix those warnings from M&G and FnP that me and @4udr4n reported in dedicated threads? I noticed you have fixed Hivekeeper, but this is probably something different that I've reported. I know it's far from priority (since those errors seem harmless), but that would make PI install proces a bit more automatized.

Yes, I believe you should use EEex.exe shortcut. PI will automatically change the executive file to EEex. You can run the game from within PI, notice that icon changed from BG2EE to the one used by EEex.
