Let's talk SWtOR!

I am leveling up so fast though, I am basically entering the planet on the upper limit of the level range. Or is the level range a suggested starting level for each planet? One thing in a MMO game I am still getting used to is that there are no reloads, no replays to see how you can do it differently or loads from a fav place and reliving it again. Hard luck!

PVP is fun (save for Huttball :p). I understand the mechanics of Huttball well enough, and I can do the passing and the run around chasing the ball carrier healing, it's just... you're either on a good team or a bad team. I don't find many 0-0 matches, I find many 4-0 matches where one team takes the lead easily and the other team just runs around after them dying. To the point that I usually give up on the actual Huttball and just run around fighting and healing people. I like Noveria Coast and the Alderran Turrets the most. The arenas aren't bad, either; nice and quick, in and out. Voidstar is hit or miss; it's another one that heavily depends on the 'do you have a good team or a bad team'? I don't know. I've gotten most of the PVP achievements, now. Need to find a way to get the make ten kills/die ten times one.

I generally do the full class quest and the full planet quest everywhere, but I skip bonus series. In particular, I can never remember what level Nar Shadda's bonus is, and the NS and Alderran bonus starters on the fleet are usually bugged for me so I never do those two as I forget where I need to go.

Boremora. >.> I don't even care who wants that planet at this point: my characters are like 'that's it, I'm done'. No more trench warfare! (Until Corellia, sigh.) Sigh. Aanan's there, though, and the Bounty Hunter will soon be there. Time to hunt down Terrorists.

(Thoughts: you're supposed to infiltrate the Balmorian resistance/terrorist cell. Fair enough. But even with a Republic accent, how many people are truly going to buy that a *Chiss* really lives on Balmora and wants it out of the Empire so bad that they're going to FITE for it? It seems like something the other characters should be suspicious of.)

Heh, if you bring T7 to you when communicating with Doc, T7 gets really snarky at him 'T7 + Jedi = handle anything You = idiot' like, 'Jedi = picture of perfect health' when Doc offers to, ahem, examine you. T7 doesn't lose points if you take flirts, though, which surprised me. I thought he'd be against breaking the Jedi code and all that. I'm still not sure where my Jedi Knight stands with Doc... there was a conversation where I got two [Flirt]'s, and one normal response (tell me about your ex), and I chose the normal one. I'm unsure if that was the 'strike' conversation for Doc, as I haven't had the opportunity to flirt with him since. Bah, if I locked myself out of my own romance, I'm... well, not going to do anything, because I'm seriously not playing a Jedi Knight all over again, but that would suck. Oh well. I'm sure all Doc's romance conversations are up on youtube if I did fail. Maybe I'll just imagine a relationship with Lord Scourge. I'm sure that would get the Jedi Council all aflutter.

The Inquisitor's companions are a lot better then the Councilors, but I'm telling you, there's a lot of suspicious parallels there. Either someone at Bioware was being very smart, or someone was running out of ideas. (And seriously, Kira, Ashara, Jaesa, Nadia... that's four female padawans, all romancable, compared to the one non-romancable male apprentice, Xalek. And all of them are a lot alike, too, starting with being very impressionable.)

Jolee Bimbo! I loved him. (Not enough to pay millions upon millions for his cuffs, though, as someone was trying to sell them on the Fleet a few days ago. They weren't that interesting looking.) I actually wasn't too enamored of Carth. He was the one Bioware guy romance that just didn't do anything for me. Usually, I can at least see the appeal, but him I just found bleh. I used to take Jolee and Juhani everywhere back in KOTOR and destroy the world. Ah, those were the days. I wish I could have two companions out in SWTOR. Then you could have tank, heals, and dps at the same time. Would be fun!

Hk-51 quest can be started by Aa'lynne, but to finish it requires more money then I have (buying the piece and scanner from Outlaw's Den- Aa'lynne isn't guilded, either, so I'm going to have to run that at like six in the morning EST and hope to avoid any Republic PVPers). You mentioned cybertech- she has it at 400, but it seems like everyone on the server has cybertech, so there's no money there. There's money in artifice, it looks like, but Lord Aavi is too busy torturing bunnies to raise it beyond 200 (...I've been lazy). Bio on Miz Jedi Knight does seem to be making me some decent money from stims, surprisingly. But I need more ingredients. I have Aanan and Aaline set up with bio (they and Aalii and oh god I can't remember the name of my BH what's her face just have gathering skills, for the most part, as I always need more scavaging pieces and the like), and they should start feeding my JK more goodies soon.

Do HK and Treek seriously not get any affection bonuses from NPC conversation, only from gifts and their own conversations? That's going to be rough for me. Guess my Smuggler needs to get back to gift gathering. She's totally broke, though. Doing the lvl 50 boss at 48 was kind of tough, even with Guss- because the game hates you, the last smuggler boss constantly uses that green gas that won't allow you to go in to cover after you've been touched by it for like five seconds, so I was constantly running around like a maniac just using pistol shots. And she was no scoundrel with backstabs, just a gunslinger.

Jaxo is the girl who wears too much eyemakeup and backs you up on Corosaunt then escorts Senator Jerkass home, yeah. Later, you can go out and party with her as a female (or have a one night stand with her as a male). I think she seemed pretty cool and relaxed, but Aric apparently doesn't approve of her. (Aric, I often think, doesn't approve of anyone, not even my character, half the time. He's like Morrigan!)

Aric did approve of shooting a running Imp in the back of the head (so did Elena, surprisingly) and in keeping a deadly horrible virus for the Republic (Elena didn't like that one as much), though, so yay for getting a few of those precious DS points. Now I went and met M4 and Joneas, both who seem like fantastically amusing people. Me and Aric are going to become good friends with them, I can tell. (Right.) On the other hand, I think Elena and her stupid no loved gift self is just hanging around the ship doing archeology missions on occasion completing the mountains of paperwork my trooper never bothered to do.

Supposedly, if you keep Vette shock-collared up to the point when Jaesa joins, crazy!Jaesa will want to get in the fun of shocking Vette too. Which is just horrible, but so tempting. Of course, then I won't see the love triangle play out... unless after seeing that conversation, I unshackle Vette, bribe her up, and then start romancing both at once. Hm. I could do that.

As for DSCouncilor, I'm tempted because I don't care about Qeyzen anyway, but I've heard if you go LS with the Masters, they all return and praise you and worship the ground you walk on later in the story, and my Councilor could do with the love. Maybe I could play an 'only cares about Jedi, if you're not Jedi, you're nothing' type character, who will willingly sacrifice her strength for the Jedi Masters as they'll appreciate her sacrifice (grr, Satele Shan), but gives the finger to the republic, the empire, and basically everyone but herself. Hm. But no matter what, that means going back to Taris. I don't want to go back to Taris. Never want to go back to Taris. ;_;

So I joined guilds with most of my characters, and... wow, the guild my Trooper is in is kind of maniac. They have meetings every night (not required, thankfully), and as soon as I joined they sent me dye in the guild colors (deep red/black, apparently) for free. I just need to find a moddable chest piece I actually like, I guess. I wonder if I could get extra dye and change all of havoc squad's colors. Forget white and orange! Hm. Too bad you can't dye droids.

Turning in the Revanites is one of those sort of 'oh, geez, I am so horrible' moments of gaming, because, well, Revan! Oh well. My Revan was cooler then the Revan they worship. (And female.) On the other hand, the scene where your character puts on the mask for a moment is very cool. I let the DS lady have it, then turned them all in anyway on my newest Agent. I think my old Agent and my Inquisitor turned them in, too, and my BH will as that's what she's being hired to do. Only my Sith Warrior let them live.

Attros Finn was cute, the same race as my Councilor, and in the end all breathless "You've given me so much to think about!"... and then, nothing. Disappointment. If you want flirting as a girl, you basically have to play Agent or Smuggler, and even they don't get near the amount of flirts males do. I don't think my Jedi Knight got flirted with, ever, until she met Doc, and since then no one's flirted with her, either.

Still keeping bad fanfiction WIP. >.> I should be modding instead... maybe I'll try writing flirts instead of lovetalks. Those are easier. I'm trying to remember what happens for the Inquisitor on Dromand Kas for this silly fanwork. Which is going to be long and interact with all sorts of things and probably suck. That's bad fanfiction for you.

Domi, you'll have to finish all your class story up till Balmora to be able to do the Balmora class story and get Zenith (and, honestly, you'll have to basically finish Balmora before you get him, though you'll be able to meet him sooner). So you'll be around 36 when you get him, actually, or you'll be dying horribly. Theren is closer, at around level 24. He's not too bad, if you can accept he's a playboy that has a girlfriend and that he goes around cheating on her and she responds by eletricuting him. Which... is actually sort of hard to accept, now that I think about it. (Also, apparently he hates Force Persuade.)

However, as you said, if you're leveling fast, you may be able to skip a planet's planet story entirely and just do the class quest on it (and maybe a mission or two that's right in your way). Personally, I recommend skipping Tattooine- the republic story is basically the same thing as the imperial story, only with a lot less interesting characters and random czerka.

I should have went with the social dress. =/ But I don't think I have the social points for it, heh. Time to run Esseles five million times... /dies

Oh, EDIT! Cool thing I found (well, my uncle found, but I'm claiming it): http://imperialentan...s.com/comics/1/ . A SWTOR Webcomic, following the journeys of a LS operative and a DS (stupid evil) juggernaut. The art may not be the best thing in the world, but it grew on me, and there's only 40 or so strips, so there's not much to catch up on. So far, their early in their missions on Dromand Kas, but it will probably end up with spoilers for both the Sith Warrior and the Imperial Agent story. Still, right now, it's just cute fun.

Oh, EDIT 2: Just maxed out Scorpio. She's going to moderate my children. I feel so secure, guys. Really secure.

Oh, EDIT #3 (I swear I'm done now): On Aric, dear Aric.

Paraphrased and slightly (but only slightly!) exaggerated:

Jonas: 'u r back from mission! cool!'

Aric: 'totes was LT's kind of mission, man'

Jonas: 'the LT is awesome'

fem!Shep: 'if you think I awesome than do somethin about it, man'

Jonas: 'yeah, tryin to get the savin the republic stuff out of the way first, yo'

Aric: 'WTF HATE YOU RAGE KILL DEATH DESTRUCTION TROLLLLLLLLLLL'

Options:

1) Dude, we all on same side! It cool!

2) Aww, u jelly?

3) Shut up.

Not an option: 'Aric, did you just have a complete personality transfer out of nowhere? Are you high? Are you getting high while serving on active duty?!'

Seriously, man and I have barely talked, and what we have talked about was mostly 'Hm, don't trust you yet, the Deadeye's and my old commander were better, let's hunt traitors because they ruined my career'. I have not had a single flirt option with this guy. We're at the 'working together because of forced circumstances and trying hard to understand each other but not quite getting there yet' stage of our relationship.

We are not at the 'I am going to have a scathing rage attack when you so much flirt with another guy' stage.

I understand that some fem!Troopers might be further in their relationship with Aric by now (and I could be further- I just try to do only one or two conversations a planet so the talks don't run out on me), and maybe it's appropriate then, but to my Trooper it just came completely out of left field. I actually exited the game to make confused faces at the world and ponder this. Maybe you could play it as Aric simply being so dedicated to the job that the idea of flirting while on it is complete anathema to him... which is what I'm probably going to do, as nothing else makes sense. Seriously. Complete personality transfer. Or catnip.

Okay, I officially join my voice to all those exhausted gamers who firmly believe that Balmorra = Boredom. God. The quests alone are horrible! And so many Heroic 4 that are just senseless! Aaaaaah! And I keep dying even with Treek!

(and I don't, don't, don't want the Republic to win! And it's cool to hear that "Empire's got a great general/failsafes and good defenses/strong droids" and so on, but why do *I* have to mangle these defenses and kill the poor general?)

Argh. Kill this, click thise, gut the final boss. No story content at all. Well, maybe in Sobrik(I'm going to Sobrik tonight). And I thought the Empire Balmorra's quests were repetitive.

(the quest with a hacked Imperial droid's head as questgiver was fun, though. Well, the quest itself was horrible, but the questgiver was fun).

And, yeah, Treek's completely silent - no approval from quests, nothing. Conversations at the ship and gifts only, alas. Then again, I can choose ANY quest replies, and it's cool.

By the way, I noticed that during class quests, your companions get reputation gains and losses even if they're not with you currently - that's how I got that -300 from Vector when he was out at the end of Chapter 1, I guess.

I wish they gave us a romantic relationship with Lord Scourge, too. He's so great! And I wish they made Revan a girl(let him wear the mask again, or whatever). Though I like Revan in SWTOR, AND he's voiced by Xan. :) Speaking of which, I'm determined to go do that flashpoint solo once I'm lvl41. I think it should be safe then.

I'm sure your romance with Doc will be okay, though - he's bound to flirt with you again on the ship after the chapter's over, and if you flirted with him at least once, it should be locked.

(Speaking of unlikely romance interests, I thought Bounty Hunter's Gault was gay, and then in Chapter 3 he tells me all about a female ex he betrayed. WTH? Gault, I thought you liked guys! Ah well. Maybe he likes both!)

Strangely, they all turn a blind eye when you tell 'em I HATE THE EMPIRE! And then you do the stuff by the book, and that poor guy gets killed because of you... (myahaha!) or not.

Two companions in SWTOR would be wonderful. I wish we could hack the game like that. After all, it works in Mass Effect! Alas, I guess that's too much stress for the servers, AND you're supposed to play with other people, blahblah. But me, Talos and Khem... heh. That'd be cool, all right!

Doit-doit-doit-doit! That's sooo cool! :D

I'm reading Aric comments not as jealous, but as "let's do OUR JOB, people" - he kinda things that anything but duty is BAD... sorta? I don't know, I only finished Nar Shaddaa with him, and while I've completed all the conversations until ~7000 Affection, no, there's no flirting whatsoever, it ends with "I was offered another promotion - to go back to Ord Mantell, but I'd like to stay with you"(he didn't phrase it quite as sweetly, though). I'm looking forward to the actual romance, but I fear I'll have to be waiting for a long, long time. (Corso didn't waste time, though - may I court you/may I get drunk and flirt with you/may I kiss you - already got all those, and I'm not even on Alderaan yet).

(Loved your trooper guild, by the way. Haven't heard of ours doing this. I got guild funds for repairing stuff with one of the guild, but I'm not using them).

Okay, gotta read that webcomic. Read a few pages and got hooked - it's simple, but kind of nice. :)

EDIT: Finished reading the comic. Thank you, Twani, great reference! oooh, now I want more!

(And Balmorra's got Bonus Series. AAAAAAAARGH!)

Link to comment

oh-oh. Good thing that Balmorra is going to be a joint venture for our Jedi dynamic duo. I am so far hitting a low on Taris, loosing the steam. Consular is 20, Smuggler is 19, and I hate Taris. At least without the GTN close hubby will stop obsessive crafting. And I need to update all the equipment, ew. I threw the Smuggler off the rafters after a long and boring attempt to find the one that leads to the stupid bonus mission, and now a bunch of equipment is unfixable including Flashy. Sorry, Riggs! Heh. I have to keep reclogging between accounts to ship raw materials and gear between the characters, it sucks up time. Anyway, I think I am going to play IA until hubby is back with his class from Science Olympics this weekend.

I personally loved the Vette/Jaesa-triangle when i played my Sith warrior - back way before SWTOR became F2P (haven't touched the game since then, sadly)- and enjoyed it a great deal! It's the sort of dark-side-romance that you want, playing a black-hearted Sith lord. It's very true that Jaesa will want a piece of that shock collar if you leave it on. You'll have to make some very tough choices along the way if you want that though - Vette asks you to take it off quite often!

Link to comment

Heh, then I am definitely going for it. I'll bribe up Vette, then basically ignore her conversations until I get Jaesa, then I'll see what Jaesa says about the situation, then I'll uncollar Vette, then I'll start her romance, and then I'll use her and dump her for Jaesa as my sith warrior is a giant jerkface. I can see nothing wrong with this plan, until Vette and Quinn finally unite in their hatred of me and shank me in my sleep. Hm.

Domi, I read up there that you had problems with Kaliyo affection. The biggest think about Kaliyo is to think of her as an anarchist- not really any real life organization in paticular, but sort of like the Revolutionary League from D&D's Planescape setting. Kaliyo has no plans for the future and no real goals in her anarchism (is that really a word?): she just wants to see the world burn. She doesn't generally need prolonged suffering or misery, but whatever wracks up the biggest body count generally gets her approval. Sometimes she approves of cruel, almost pointless actions that you can do to 'support the Empire'- not because she supports the Empire, but because she likes randomly being a jackass, pardon the language. Her one weakness is that she generally has a bit of empathy for fellow aliens that are fighting against 'the big man' in some way, but she doesn't want to be soft about it. Like, when you first talk to the alien fixer agent, she approves of the 'Hey, glad to see another alien', but when he tells you he's doing it to help aliens be seen as more useful to the Empire, she goes cold and approves of the 'fight your own fights, I'm not part of this' line. If in doubt, DS is more likely to get points then light. And remember that you can always exit out a conversation if your character doesn't really care about the outcome (a decision that's morally neutral to them, for instance) if you're just after affection points. I do that all the time. It's the closest SWTOR comes to 'reload'.

(One of the weirdest experiences with this: finding that T7 and Doc didn't care what I said in a conversation with an Imperial leader on Hoth, but Kira would give me affection if I said 'Who are you?'. Yeah. Apparently, she likes knowing who people are. I have no idea, really.)

Heheh, yeah, Republic Balmora is a pain. And then you have the bonus series, where there's MORE trench warfare (and, most annoying, the bonus to the bonus series itself is a Heroic 4- Doc and I couldn't solo that, required going against massive amounts of champion enemies). I can't say I like Imperial Balmora all that much either, to be truthful, but it does seem sad to be undoing all that work you did. Of course, even though I'm an Intelligence loyal, I find doing Empire Taris and undoing all the work I did as a Pub a pain, too. I don't want to do those worlds again any time soon... meh. Honestly, I don't think there's anything all that interesting about Republic Balmora save for getting a companion for Councilor, Knight, Trooper, and... does the Smuggler get Sparr on that world? I think they do. So the only real interesting stuff happening is your class quest. I suppose I sort of liked the eager young Hawkeye Twi'lek you save who goes around sabatoging stuff and wants you to go save his friends for him, I guess. But it's not like you can flirt with him.

Flirting with Jolur or whatever the hell his stupid name was on Tatooine would have made it a lot more bearable. Not really an attractive guy, but I NEED FLIRTS. (Amusing: 154 from Aric from choosing a snappy 'Get on with it' when they started babbling.) Someone let me flirt with someone, seriously! My Trooper did all that work on Jonas, taking all three flirts, and not even a kiss or anything. He just wanders off to go do SIS business and I'm left with Aric sending me dirty looks. Of course, I did keep everything a secret from Jonas, and he got sort of really pissed off at me, so maybe that was why. Er. Ahem.

Yeah, I've noticed companions sometimes getting approval or disapproval when they're not there. It happens most often with flashpoints, but sometimes happens other times. It seems a bit random when it happens and when it doesn't. Not sure how to figure out why it's sometimes there and why it isn't.

(I always thought Guss was gay, Kaliyo was bi (there is a female among all those people she's ran out on, and every other one was an ex lover), Gault (from the little I've seen) was bi, and Scorpio was Agent-sexual. There's also a bit of a lesyay vibe going on between the female smuggler and Risha. But as I'm bi (is that TMI?), I just tend to make most of my characters that way, because I'm lazy. I should stop doing that. Though the 'flirt' option made BH event so much easier...)

Yeah, the Balmora resistance cell is almost so stupid that they deserve to burn for letting a Chiss (or a Sith purebred, lol wtf) join them. But I wouldn't tell that to Zenith, no sir. He'd get maaaaaad. He really does look like an interesting companion.

I decided to go DS on my Councilor, but LS in most of the class quests. I'm playing as Aaline expects she's going to die for what she's doing: but the Jedi Order has promised her, at least, that her sacrifice will be remembered. But the Republic isn't going to remember what she did. The Empire isn't going to care, either. So why should she care about them? Why shouldn't she take this time and take the bribes she wants, so she can live better as she slowly dies? Why shouldn't she kill her defeated enemies, as living ones can only come back to haunt her while she's doing her mission? As in, the way I play her, the only thing that keeps her going is Satele Shan's (horrible) 'we will honor/respect/remember your sacrifice' deal. She'll do it, for the Jedi. But she won't sacrifice a damn thing for anyone else. Qyzen probably isn't going to approve, but I can just bribe him up later if I really want to care about his story. I'm willing to give the romance option a chance, though, and see if 'the cheerful soldier' can soften her. I doubt it, but hey.

You know how young men in their teens and early twenties are always complaining that girls should come with a guide? Forget girls. Aric needs to come with a guide. 'A what Imperial can I shoot in the head' guide. Imperial shot on Taris- approval! Imperial shot on Nar Shadda- disapproval. Imperial shot on Tattooine- neutral. Come on, boy, give me a clue. No flirt options yet: he's at 7500 or so and now wants me to go on a level 31 mission to go check out the Deadeyes. I think I'll wait till after Alderran on that one, thanks.

Random, but: I've decided I like Elena. I have no reason to take her out on the field: although DPS specced (middle tree with grav round right now), my Trooper can heal fine, so she just keeps Aric alive while she also shoots, but... I don't mind her. I myself wouldn't be friends with her- she is far too stiff- but I could see my Trooper respecting her as a damn good soldier and a well put part of havoc squad. More then anything, though, she feels like a woman. The padawan four, Vette, Mako, even sometimes Temple- they often feel like girls to me. I know most of them are supposed to be older then their teens, but they come across as childish at times. Elena feels like a career-focused woman (who, importantly, is not a complete bitch) who has her life well in her hands, has made her own choices, and is getting along fine with her life and does not need the player character to come in to rescue her and solve all her problems. She's not dependent on the player character as some of the other female romance choices are. I know there is a scene where you may have to rescue her, but Aric can be put in the same exact position, so I don't think it's really the same as the 'must bail Ashara out of each problem she has' scenario. Overall, I think she's well written, and I could definitely see why people would be interested in romancing her. She's not my type (Kaliyo, darkJaesa, and Risha are the girls I'm interested in seeing the romance content for), but she's pretty cool.

My trooper guild is crazy. One of the members set me a 39 orange breastplate that looks cool and has fitted mods already in it, as well as a level 39 power crystal. For free! I offered to pay, but they turned me down. They might be a bit intense, but I think I'm going to see if I can get all my republic characters in to this guild. They run flashpoints, ops, world boss hunts, and again, have meetings every night. Every night. Seriously, every night. (Crazy!)

That webcomic is awesome, isn't it? I think my favorite part is the strip when Kaliyo mentions Watcher Two's name, Keeper gets in on it, and Watcher Two finishes by being totally deadpan. The Lord introduction is pretty good, too. Sadly, it's only once a week, but I have it on my favorites bar. >.>

I'm only 26, so I think I could try to put myself in my shoes of romancing a teenage Mandalorian boy. Still feels a bit creepy, but... well, Kuylok said his romance isn't bad, and Corso and Doc are doing nothing for me republic-wise and I can't even flirt with Aric yet. I'd try him out. Though my BH is pretty sociopathic...

Current update on my characters, as much for my purpose as it is yours:

Aalii, mostly neutral Trooper: about to start Alderran, and will be played after dinner. Currently most played character. Want to finish chapter one with her; I'm invested in the storyline.

Aaline, DS Councilor: need to start Taris. Am interested in the story for her, but not interested in Taris. Status: meh.

LORD Aavi, DS Inquisitor: need to start Belsavis. Hate Belsavis. Status: meh.

Aathan, LS Inquistior: needs to get lightsaber from lord Zash, then on to DK. Currently halted for fanfiction purpose.

Aaspin, really ugly DS Warrior: needs to start DK. Currently halted till I get Aash further along- will only play if I need reminders of what happens on DK for the Warrior for fanfiction purpose.

Aanan, DSish Operative: chillin' on Boremora. Currently halted for fanfiction purpose and because it's Balmora.

Aaliah, LS Knight: need to start Belsavis. Still hate Belsavis. Status: meh, likely to play Aavi through it first as Inquistior's story appeals more then Jedi Knight's.

Aa'lynne, LSish Operative: hanging around on Makeb, but could use some extra levels. Should check out the dalies- I've never done them. Status: on play list.

Aamie, LS Smuggler: hanging around on Makeb despite being far too low for it. As I'm not too interested in playing her anymore besides maxing out the companions I haven't maxed, I basically consider her 'done' at this point unless someone needs her crafting skills. So Status: somewhere below meh.

Aashleen, LS Warrior: needs to finish Tattooine, which I shoulod do. Status: on play list.

Aalis, DSish BH: needs to start DK, and there's no reason why I haven't. Status: on play list.

Last slot: thinking about making a Rattataki DS male Smuggler once I get Aavi to max to play either Risha or Sparr's romance (probably Risha's). Corso won't approve, but no one cares about Corso. Have to get Aavi to max first, but that would mean I have all the characters to effectively get all the achievements.

Wow, Twani, your playlist dwarfs mine! :D

I'm playing rather slowly - some medical problems with me and mine, I hope we'll deal with this(yesterday's comic helped a lot, by the way, thanks! this thread also is great :)).

I played a bit with my Jedi Knight yesterday, and I got Doc in the party - he doesn't have a favorite gift, unfortunately, so I spent some time giving him those courting gifts, but now he's at 6000 affection clad in a brand new Cartel Market brown explorer's suit(I wasn't paying attention and bought it for ~40000 credits when I could pay about ~30000, but it's still nice and cheap enough, compared to those 3-5mil Thana Vesh outfits). Looking forward to having on-ship conversations with him.

But all these Area 4+ and Heroic 4+ quests are annoying! I'll have to group up with people(though playing sentinel is easy, and I hope I pull my weight as sentinel - I kill adds whenever possible, but sometimes I forget to use crowd control on droids). A hint I discovered only a few weeks ago: if you want to select the target but NOT attack it, use SHIFT+Left-Click(it works well for that disable droid ability, or Consular's disabling ability, or that "help droids" republic quest on Tatooine).

Kaliyo's affection correlates with DS button and being rude, I think, but sometimes she can be unpredictable. Aw, Kaliyo. I so wish I didn't have to trade you for Vector... my Agent dies more often when Vector's around, too. But, alas, that's how life is - boys before... ahem, girls, even if I have feelings for the girl in question, too.

I had to destroy that interrogation facility on Balmorra and Sobrik spaceport and kill a Sith guy who was an asset to the Empire and I nearly cried doing this! Especially since the Lieutenant in charge of the prisoner scientists was nice and handsome and snarky(Did we start issuing invitations?) and I so hoped they'll let me let him live! No such luck.

Strangely, though, I like Imperial Taris after Republic Taris. Maybe because Republic Taris is so green and sunny and Imperial Taris is so dark and gloomy it seems like another planet. Or maybe because I played Empire Taris first and I knew all my Republic Taris work will be for naught, so I didn't care much.

Love the light-side choices for Republic on Balmorra, by the way. A major victory against the Empire and dark points, or saving a hundred unimportant people and getting light points? What, I can HELP THE EMPIRE AND get LIGHT POINTS? Gimme two! (Honestly, sometimes I think my Jedi Knight sabotages herself). Loved the scientist's reply "You've just rescued me from the Imperial jail and you're thanking ME?" Heh. Yeah, my knight's like that sometimes.

You need flirts? SO DO I! Badly, and there're none, none, none whatsoever! And when I do the Bounty hunter event, there's my love interest standing right to me, and the Light Side Choice and the Dark Side Choice both winking at me and whispering: "Hey, Kulyok, want another hundred of dark points?"("I do, I do!" - thinks Kulyok, and the flirt option is forgotten). I did get my share of flirts with Trooper and Jonas, though - I immediately told him everything, so he was rather nice with me, much to Aric's displeasure(heh, the guy must be jealous, after all).

Elara Dorne reminds me of Claire from House of Cards, though she's not that tough(recommend House of Cards to everyone, by the way. Great series, though you'll have to prepare to some brutal deaths). I agree she's grown up - she might be even more grown up than Ashley from Mass Effect. I don't know her at all, though - I saw her obligatory conversations and a talk with her brother Alexei(why do they insist on using Russian names for the Imperials and foreigners, I will never understand), but still I feel I don't know her at all. Maybe I should take her with me for the 1000 kills achievement, but then I won't have ARIC with me, and I'm curious how Tatooine and Alderaan with Aric will go.

And I'll need to start Chapter 3 sometime. :( I just realized: chapter 3 has three mid-size planets: Belsavis, Voss and Corellia, and that's it - finale! Man, it seemed so good in the beginning, when you got two planets for the prologue and four more for Chapter 1. Sigh. :)

I'm 31, and I remember the times when I was around 17 and was in awe because I was romancing Anomen, a grown knight with a beard! <s>Aww, where's my 17...</s> But I'm okay with young boys, too. As long as Torian is good in bed, and I'm going to imagine he is! Okay, now I'm going into adult territory, stop, Kulyok. But, seriously, even though I had some clipping issues with the kissing cutscene, I had the feeling he really loves her, and my character loves him.

And my JK loves Doc. Heh. I'm lucky in love, I guess - though I'm still waiting for Aric's romance to bloom, Corso's romance to shut up(no such luck, right?), and my Jedi Consular's probably going to be single.

I like the way you're going to play your Jedi Consular, Twani - loyalty to Jedi Order only, and to hell with the rest!

(yay! I think my Bounty Hunter is the same - loyalty to the Mandalore and her team only. My Jedi Knight's about the same - she doesn't care for the Republic and is very happy to make the light choices that hurt the Republic, though it's very un-Luke-y, but what the hell!).

Though I read that Jedi Consular's story includes various intrigues/mysteries/betrayals in the Jedi Order, so I guess we're up for some surprises and/or disappointments. :)

My slots:

Stacey, Samanta, Stefana, Kulyok - all my Empire characters are in position to start Belsavis.

Montale the Jedi Knight - unhappily on Balmorra(but with Doc! And Treek! And still waiting for the first opportunity to run like hell from there).

Master Vergera the Jedi Consular - waiting for her turn on Balmorra(class quests only, and then I'm out of there).

Genri the Smuggler - Alderaan, and she's probably next on my list(I want to have sex with Skavak! Yay!).

Alyona the Trooper - still waiting for Tatooine and Alderaan, and I really should do that after I do the Chapter 2 with my Jedi Knight.

By the way, folks, remember that pacifist droid on Dromund Kaas in Lord Grantham's estate, the one with the turret plans? Did anyone else adore him? Because I totally did. :)

"Somebody stop me! Somebody stop me right now!" - "You're a big droid. Stop yourself."

Oh, wow, ladies, you are so fast and furious, I feel like I am barely moving :) Twani, thank you for the tips on Kalyio - I really don't have a trouble with her now, just sometimes it is hard to guess which sidequest will give you a penalty on her affection if you go LS, and which won't. But after a careful consideration, I am going to park my IA and start Sith Warrior because firstly, the play-style is very different for her and the Smuggler (unlike the IA) and secondly, I created an IA as a cyborg, so I will be able to play her in August after I drop my sub for preferred without having to sink $ into unlocking the race. I need more flirts too, though I've got someone telling me on Bio-boards how inopportune such things are (yeah) though I am looking forward to killing Skavak rather than kissing him (Riggs entertaining). Finally, if you want disturbing, I spent some quality time on the bus after our discussion pondering if I should unlock Cathars and create a true cougar Bounty Hunter instead of my baby-faced, soulfull-eyed Rattataki Lariko. I am thinking an aristocratic grand dame divorcee (husband blew up fame and fortune) in her early forties. I am sure SW universe can supply a planet where Cathars are a part of the high society. But I need to calculate how much CC I need for all the unlocks I will require in August. I will probably get more mileage from Cathars than Rattataki if I have to pay for a race. I will keep the unlock after sub expires, right?

You will keep all your unlocks, that's right. And Cathars are gorgeous, a Cathar Bounty Hunter sounds great! A grand dame, too... Heh. (Though in my head Stefana is an Alderaanian princess Stefania, who had to run after her family was butchered, blahblahblah). Btw, my IA is a cyborg, too.

Ah, a new Sith Warrior. I'm envious, truly. :D I think the only thing better than a new Sith Warrior is a new Sith Inquisitor, but Sith Warrior's got a great playstyle, especially Mara with two swords.

I have a Sith Inq, and he is a Zabrak (evil twin of Bao-Dur the Knight), so I can play him on preferred as well :) Thank you, I might actually consider remaking my BH on/by March 17th to get her that free speeder. Then the only racial choices I need to finish before August will be Sevrinne, the Sith Pureblood Warrior, and Glean, the Mirialian Trooper (and I am not paying a dime to play a Mirialian). Obviously, Tishujen as well, but I have a feeling I will pay for a Twi'lek, since it is my fav race - unless they like put a Nautlan in, but hey, that's too much to hope for.

Reasons why I am crazy and broke all the time:

I had a nice set of pants my Councilor can wear now, as well as beautiful white robe for when she hits her late 30's sitting on my Smuggler. The problem is, my smuggler doesn't know my councilor. So I sent a mail from my Jedi Knight (who helped trained my Councilor in lightsabor techniques) to her big sister Agent, worrying about how the baby Councilor is going out without decent armor. I then sent a mail from my Agent to my Smuggler, asking if she could acquire any armor for a little Jedi Councilor that had caught her attention. My smuggler said sure, and sent the armor to my Agent. My Agent then sent the armor to my Jedi Knight, who finally sent it to my Jedi Councilor. How many credits did I waste on this little game? More then enough, not to mention the time spent logging in and out multiple characters. BUT IT AMUSES ME, alright? Yeah. Alright.

I don't have any character who knows armortech, so it looks like my BH is going to get some new crew skills. I really thought I had someone who had it, but I didn't. I know there's no real money in armortech (or is it armormech?), but I can occasionally make cool shells that look nifty, right? That's... something. I guess. But if I do that, I'll have all crew skills covered (although Cybertech is the only one I have maxed).

Hope your medical issues work out, Kuylok. :(

Doc's just so playboy for my strict Jedi Knight. But I'm guessing it eventually turns to a ladykiller in love situation where he comes to appreciate her and want to marry her and think of her as oh so special, etc etc. That's not really what I need out of a romance, but Aaliah definitely needs reassurance that he's not going to run off with the next girl who winks at him. She is going to call the shots in this relationship, thank you very much. Considering she's been basically raised by the Jedi, I imagine this is her first real interaction with a man who shows interest in her, and she's still in that dreamy 'your first love has to be your last love because that's so romantic squeeeeeeeee' stage of ridiculousness due to the Jedi Council not being the best at teaching how to interact with the opposite sex realistically.

Yeah, Balmora Republic side really is about taking everything you did Imperial side and turning it in to shreds, with the bonus series being about defeating the Empire's last desperate attempts to hold the planet, as well. I felt sort of bad, but I enjoyed some of the quest givers (the talking head Imperial droid is awesome, as you said). That Hawkeye kid is neat, too. "Gee, I'm sure broken up about this stuff being blown up, BUT MY PEOPLE ARE DYING OVER HERE". Yes, yes, we'll go save the innocents. My Trooper might take the DS decision, though. We'll see.

Yeah, if you don't tell Jonas everything, he figures it out himself at the end, and he goes off on you. It's fairly brutal. Elena's all 'we should have told him!' and Aric's just like 'loloz, troooolllllll' (okay, more like 'SECRET OPERATION, FOO', but I can't help but see Aric as some sort of crazy troll after his weird responses to my DS options). We sort of made up- I took the flirt reply as he left, and he said he'd like to see me again- but if that had completely broken any chance of flirting with him, it would have made sense to me, as well, I did lie to him repeatedly. (Republic Traitors? GASP! We must catch them!) NPC's in this game are awfully forgiving.

I'm probably going to take Elena around for a while after I max Aric (and get his 1000 kills achievement), though I'll switch her out for Aric whenever I want to make a DS choice. At least, until I get Tanno Vik or whatever his name is, which... actually isn't too far away. I think he's Boremora? That planet has a lot of good 'for the republic!' DS choices, so this may be one character who actually enjoys the horrid place.

Corso's romance is sort of interesting, due to his extreme jealousy. Almost all the romance interests will get a -2 if you flirt with another person in front of them, but Corso almost always interjects to complain. He's much more jealous then any of the other guys I've played with (save for that weird episode with Jonas and Aric, anyway). I don't remember Vector ever really getting jealous though, actually, even if you actively cheat on him. Of course, it's part of your duties in a weird way- seduction is a common tactic for the Imperial Agent. Corso, though... ugh, Corso. My smuggler really shouldn't have married him.

Now I'm working on a mini-Jedi Councilor fic. It will just be a quick one shot, unlike this crazy wip thing I'm doing, so I don't feel too guilty. Falling to the DS is a major thing, and deserves notice. Man, Qyzen is going to hate me... well, he'll probably like my not sparring opponents, at least.

I loved that. Especially the male Imperial Agent's delivery on the "You're a big droid. Stop yourself." line. He just sounds so terribly bored with it all. I love the female Agent (fem!Hawke), but the male Agent's voice is definitely growing on me.

A Cathar cougar sounds awesome. I say go for it.

And yay for little Sith Warriors! I'm partial to the dual wielding Marauder style, too, but my heavy armored Juggernaut is pretty badass. Once you get Quinn in your party, you just stroll up and nothing hurts you. He heals, and you just grind all your enemies to dust. It's great fun, actually. Playing her, I feel like nothing can touch me. But the Marauder jumping around and looking so agile is awesome, too.
