  1. Yup, I've started on some dialogue and a small 'quest' for Winthorp as a way to learn to mod, and realised just how much time something bigger will take, so I now need to get put on furlough ASAP!
  2. No, it's never bothered me enough to try, I value the play area space more than portraits! Maybe follow the link through to here: https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/48994/the-new-ui-system-how-to-use-it/p1 and have a play around.

  4. Also, jimfix:400:Prevent silent prebuffs fails to detect smarter mages on my install. As per my post on the Ascension tpic, I respect that Jimfix isn't your mod, but your advice on whether there are still silent prebuffs with SCS smarter mages, and if there are, any suggestion as to why Jimfix cannot detect them would be appreciated. Here's that component's .tp2 content: BEGIN @17 DESIGNATED 400 GROUP @2 REQUIRE_PREDICATE FILE_EXISTS ~override/dw#mage.mrk~ @34 ACTION_FOR_EACH filename IN ~dw#sw102~ ~dw#sw408~ ~dw#sw319~ ~dw#sw606~ ~dw#sw512~ ~dw#sw517~ ~dw#sw320~ BEGIN ACTION_IF FILE_EXISTS_IN_GAME ~%filename%.spl~ BEGIN COPY_EXISTING ~%filename%.spl~ ~override~ READ_LONG 0x8 spell_name LPF ADD_SPELL_EFFECT INT_VAR opcode = 139 target = 1 parameter1 = spell_name header = 1 insert_point = 0 END BUT_ONLY END END
  5. Hi @DavidW, can you confirm whether the fix components of Jimfix are deprecated with newer versions of Ascension & SCS? I recognise that Jimfix is not your mod, but GrimJim is unresponsive.
  6. Yeah, you mentioned and I've ditched DR entirely anyway.
  7. @Caedwyr Basically all of the BG1 NPC in BG2 mods (except Ajantis!) are likely to have continuity issues in EET, as in, if the companion dies in BG, they will magically return in BG2, or if you kitted them and levelled them in BG, they will lack that in BG2. This may not matter to you. Just do as you're told on this one, it has worked in my install. What known bugs are there with this?
  8. Phew, I was worried that https://github.com/InfinityMods/ had been hijacked somehow, as that was the link Jastey gave for Fishing for Trouble!
  9. Brilliant, I hoped there'd be a way without reinstalling, thanks!
  10. Also, EEUITweaks:1070:Faydark's Abilities Auto-Roller/GrimLefourbe's BG2 UI works fine now, no idea what my problem was before.
  11. Hey @lefreut, I did a stupid thing and added EEUITweaks Simple Centred dialogue to my install order and it is very broken; only displaying a fraction of the dialogue, max 2 responses shown and selecting the wrong response if clicked. Is there any way to disable this without redoing my entire install sequence?
  12. Or not, can't download yet. Any chance of an alternative share?
  13. This is not yet EET compatible, but the fix is known: Best to ask at the beamdog thread, where the creators are very active. I'm testing a new version of this which is EET compatible (same issue as Wilson) but haven't got to Amn yet! You have a bunch of weaselmods there. I've played a few and the writing is good. For compatibility ask @Lava.
  14. I see you have EET_Tweaks:2051:Decrease to 75% dead last, why is that? Also, jimfix:400:Prevent silent prebuffs skips silently for me as it cannot detect smarter mages. it looks for ~override/dw#mage.mrk~, which is not there for my install. Did you ask about this and find anything useful?
  15. Whee, just did a new install in under 6 hours, @AL|EN my employer thanks you for ExpDisablePauseOnWarning=true as I managed to do some work today, rather than just babysitting PI! Current order: Looks stable, let's test!
  16. Jaheira's last line reads: No, neither you nor your vile comrades have the strength to do so, and ï3½t is a lesson you are about to learn. (that isn't exact, I don't recognise the character after the ï)
  17. Excellent, thanks. I don't think I've ever noticed that, though perhaps because I haven't actually played EET as far as SoD yet or played more than a handful of games with a PC imported from BG to BG2. That's great, and makes sense with what I've seen in messign about with this. The EET_Tweaks consistent portraits components presumably prevent this change.
  18. Yeah, I understand it won't bring my party with me from one campaign to the next. But am I right in thinking that if I recruit a companion in BG, level them, make choices for them, dual them, rekit them or give them tomes etc, then they will keep those changes in SoD or BG2 as long as they would normally be a companion in the later campaign? To help me understand this, is EET actually keeping a consistent .cre from first meeting the character and re-using it for all instances of the character throughout all campaigns? Correct, I'm asking if Tiax will still be found in Spellhold if he died (un)heroically in early BG. As I suspected, so mods that add a BG companion to BG2 will probably create a new .cre based on what the mod author thinks that companion should be like in BG2?
  19. Thanks, getting there. What I'm trying to achieve is to set each NPC's portrait, paperdoll and sprite appearance (and perhaps eventually class, kit, stats and locations as the code for these in other mods does not terrify me as I feared it would!) to be more lore accurate, and to be able to have their portraits change with each campaign. In an ideal world this would mean being able to give imoen a (slightly) different portrait for: BG - IMOENL/IMOENM/IMOENS SoD - BDIMOENL... BG2 - NIMOENL... (ToB - currently no specific image) I'd like to do this for every companion who occurs in more than 1 campaign, but Imoen is the one I have all 4 portraits for and who probably goes through the most change throughout the campaigns. Hmm, do you know if the BG2 cameos are removed as well? Ajantis in Windspear Hills (Will Keldorn and Anomen still say anything?) Coran & Safana in the Forest of Tethyr Faldorn in the Druid Grove Garrick in the Temple District Montaron - if dead, is Xzar's BG2 quest altered? Quayle in the Circus Tiax in Spellhold Is any explanation given for Imoen, Edwin or Xzar (and cameos if they do) returning? It would be good for immersion to have some reference to resurrection or excape. Are Mod NPCs also prevented from spawning if dead and would they usually have the same stats/kit/level as their earlier character (I would assume not, or that this depends on the mod author)? There are mods for all of these to return: Alora (BG2) Branwen (BG2) Coran (BG2) Skie (BG2) Kivan (BG2) Xan (BG2) Yeslick (BG2) Shar-Teel (SoD) Skie (BG2) Angelo (BG2) (not originally a companion, but I'd like a consistent portrait!) Caelar (BG2) Irenicus (BG2) (can I ensure his NPC and companion portraits are consistent?) Yoshimo (ToB) Generally portrait changes for these mods is just about finding what they save a .bmp to override as and replacing it, which I can do/have done. More consistency than that may be a big ask! P.S. Should I really be asking @K4thos or others these questions? I'll (eventually) produce a mod to handle at least all of the portraits for the above within EET, and would be keen to collaborate to do more, or include anything I/we produce in either EET itself or EET Tweaks if appropriate/desired.
  20. Hey @jastey, can you help me understand which versions of companions will be used in EET and how EET will treat their portraits and avatars?
  21. I like most of these but the tavern music is way too modern and electronic sounding for my taste! I'll give the rest a go and see how I feel. Kudos for the slew of really intriguing mods recently.
  22. My employer is hosting some virtual events next month, and has offered to send food (pizza being an option) to all attendees (marketing budget usually spent on venue is available!). They're using a service that emails a code for each registrant to claim a meal delivery voucher, and so far as I can tell, the same code is used for all recipients (this code is presumably tied to my employer's account). This seems wildly open to abuse, so I'm gathering info, but may be about to offer free pizza to the nation!
  23. For clarity, I wasn't suggesting anything those that I mentioned do on Github is wrong (as I have no idea how to use it), just pointing out that there are plenty of GitHub hosted mods that don't (yet) use releases.
