  1. @subtledoctor thanks for the heads up. Just In time for me to update
  2. I'm eternally grateful to DavidW for introducing the possibility to change difficulty via in game options whenever I want. I plan to play on Improved. Should be difficult enough for me without being too frustrating.
  3. Sure, thing I definitely will share my feelings. This is my first time trying SCS, so I expect to experience many reloads. We'll see.
  4. The pleasure is mine It was a great journey for me too. Having all the help from you guys is so awesome, that it's really hard to describe. I plan to document my run in some way, maybe not in super detailed way, but at least letting you know if I enjoy it.
  5. No, the sequence is as follows: 1. First I installed two mods on BG2EE (setting BG2EE game in PI): Awesome Soundsets and SoD to BG2EE Item Upgrade -> those are the 2 mods after the first comment section in previous spoiler tag // 2. Then I installed all the mods after second comment section, switching from BG2EE to EET game in PI. All mods that are before EET Core on the installation order are installed automatically on BGEE by Project Infinity and all mods starting from EET Core are installed on BG2EE. Project Infinity is smart that way. It's not smart enough yet, to be able to distinguish which mods that are before EET Core should be installed on BGEE and which on BG2EE, that's why I installed those 2 mods from the first step separately.
  6. @4udr4n, @subtledoctor, @Caedwyr here is my current (final?) install order in case you're interested.
  7. Splendid! Your timing is impeccable, @DavidW! I'm switching to a new version! Now if only you could find a minute to take a look at this SCS installation warning me and @4udr4n reported back in SCS thread, I would be immensely grateful. Just to know we're safe
  8. Ok, removed Viconia Revamped and those kit change components for Branwen, Eldoth and Faldorn. Let's give F&P a chance, shall we? So, since Ascension is out, just waiting for new NToSC (no pressure @jastey, honestly take your time) and I'm good to go. @4udr4n have you encountered any SCS-related bugs? I'm a tiny bit worried with this unusual installation warning we both experienced.
  9. Is it possible to apply FnP kits only to some NPCs? For example I'd like to give Viconia Assassin/Cleric multi from Viconia Revamped mod, so now FnP would overwrite this choice.
  10. Update on the install order list (thanks guys for suggestions!) 1. Added Glam's Pack -> yeah, it was inevitable, really. 2. Added Yeslick BG2 with Fighter/Alaghor of Cladgeddin option 3. Added Jastey's SoD Tweak pack with following components: Do not miss NPC-PC Dialogues: For NPCs in Party only More Dialogue Choices; Prevent Dead Ends 4. Added NPC Flirtpacks 5. Convenient EE NPC's with following components: Modify Enhanced Edition NPCs: Decide for each NPC individually Make Baeloth passive Make Hexxatpassive Make Neera passive Make Rasaad passive Change portrait: Baeloth: Alternative version Change portrait: Dorn: BG2 style Change portrait: Hexxat: BG2 style Change portrait: Neera: BG2 style Change portrait: Rasaad: BG2 style Improved portrait: Wilson Change class/kit Baeloth: Shadow Adept Change class/kit Neera: Chaos Sorcerer Change class/kit Glint: Cleric/Illusionist Change class/kit Hexxat: Shadowdancer Change class/kit Clara: Swashbuckler 6. Added BGEENPC Tweaks for BGEE / SOD / BG2EE / EET with following components: Make Branwen a Priest of Tempus Make Eldoth a Jester Make Faldorn an Avenger Make Kagain a Dwarven Defender Make Kivan an Archer Make Safana a Swashbuckler Make Shar-Teel a Berserker Make Skie a Shadowdancer So now I'm basically only waiting for new Ascension. And maybe in the meantime new NTotsC will also squeeze in. Apart from that, I'm good to go!
  11. Yeah, If I'd bother to actually read this topic more thoroughly I would know that EET map does account for NToSC and Lava's mods So, no point in using BP-BGT map for EET run, I guess.
  12. @Caedwyr thanks for suggestions! Couple of general notes first: 1. I specifically selected only few NPC's, mostly the ones that have both BGEE and BG2EE content and mostly the ones with more or less good(ish) alignment, since I plan to play NG or CG character. Don't want to clutter my install order with too many NPC's. There are a couple of more NPC's that are very interesting, though, and I'm still debating to add them to the list. I have specifically thought about Glam's Pack, because it is generally considered as a very good mod and also Yeslick, since that NPC is present also in BGEE, so it meets my first requirement. 2. I really need to update first post, because my install order changed a bit since I posted it. More specific answers: 1. NPC mods This one I omitted on purpose. I thought I would do a *serious* romance run, so don't want to be distracted by flirting with other NPC's. This is why I also chose only those BG1 Romantic Encounters components that don't include intimate scenes. 2. Quest mods I included both Tales of Deep Gardens and Eilistraee's Song on my list. Wouldn't miss any of Lava's quest mods Turnabout -> I didn't include it on my list, specifically because I'm not convinced it's stable for EET. And I can live without it too. The other mods are a bit too goofy for this run. Nevertheless, these are all fine mods! 3. Portrait mods I have debated for quite a bit whether I should use Artaport or not. While I've very much like the general art style, I thought it wouldn't fit the rest of the portrait mods from my list. 4. Kits and Classes I pretty much thought this one through. I think I'm covered with all I need. One thing that bothers me is that I can't get to work neither Wizard Slayer Rebalancing or Relieve Wizard Slayer revisions to work. I mean, both installs correctly, but I still see vanilla description in game. I tried it both on EET and BG2EE with no avail. 5. Tweaks Hmm, that's a good point. There is a very good chance I will use Rasaad (since I translated his BG2EE content to Polish and I really liked it) and Neera (proofread her content and liked it too) in my party, so I thought I would not need this mod anyway. But, I'll ponder about it a bit. I'm waiting for new Ascension anyway, so there's still a couple of days at least for me to figure it out. Well, I installed 75% XP reduction from EET Tweaks and I don't have *that* many quests installed, so I figured this *shouldn't* be the case. And I specifically installed this tweak very last, to be able to uninstall it in BG2EE and reinstall with different % value if needed. I don't want to restrain myself in BG2EE and want to feel my PC and my party members to be powerful. The only doubt I have is to not over level my party in BGEE and SoD, but that is this 75% XP reduction for. Yeah, wasn't really sure how this mod really works and if I really need it during my first ever SoD run. But maybe I'm wrong? I'm confused here. I thought Oversight is not compatible with EE (and EET) yet. And this thread you shared kinda proofs this, right? Or am I missing something? I would *really* love to include this puppy on my list! Yeah, I'll pass this one. I'm not a hardcore player, so SCS is more than enough for me when it comes to difficulty increase. Hmm, this one is looking promising, but I would love to have some confirmation that it is really working with EET. Like, in game confirmation
  13. Yeah, but this begs a question if areas from other mods are taking into account for the default EET map. And, does it mean that both maps (the one from EET and the one from BP-BGT Worldmap) are different?
  14. Hmm, this is a good question and I honestly don't know the answer. I added it to the list just to be on the safe side. I didn't add many Megamods (basically only NTotSC), but I did add couple of Lava's mod which I believe introduce new areas. On any case I'll happily ditch Worldmap, if it's really redundant for EET.
  15. I'm interested in Saving Throw Overhaul, so I'll wait, don't worry. Poison Overhaul is also something that might pontentially interest me.
  16. Yeah, I'm a bit worried with Wheels of Prophecy too, now that David admitted it's a bit of a mess at current point. But it's one of those mods that is very hard to pass... Btw I have noticed you updated MnG, WtP, NPC_EE and TnB, but I guess those are not yet the major updates you were talking about?
  17. Copy that Waiting for new Ascension, since @DavidWis working on it.
  18. I'm really looking forward to it! This is literally the only thing that I'm sorely miss in IR(R). And I understand maintining the mod to work for both classic and EE versions can be PITA. If you include them in there with the appropriate value for their shield or armor type, you shouldn't need to do anything else. Yup, tested this for SoD to BG2EE Item Update mod and it worked well. I'm going to browse through NTotSC items too. Will share my update to the list in other topic when I'm done. Although I'm not sure if NTotSC items aren't already included in the list. Need to check. to That can probably be done by changing @100313 in description_updates.tra. Hmm tried that and it didn't work. But it's entirely possible I did something wrong. Not a big deal, just a minor cosmetic inconvenience. That's getting more complicated and may be better suited to a new topic in Modding Q&A. Essentially you'd want to use a REPLACE_TEXTUALLY on the description, finding a line that starts with "– Armor Class:" followed by a line starting with "Special:" and replace the newline in between them. It would involve a regexp similar to the one in my previous post. Yeah, not going to spend my time to pursue this, especially *if* you ever plan to update IR with EE-style descriptions. Like above, just a minor cosmetic inconvenience.
  19. I have added a couple of armors and shields from SoD to BG2EE Item Upgrade mod to armor_list.tpa and shield_list.tpa for my own use, so I figure I will share. @Daeros_Trollkiller if you could take a look if I get it right, that would be awesome. 1. Armors: 2. Shields I have checked it via Near Infinity and it seems patching routine of IR (well, I've checked on IRR but it's no different) works perfectly.
  20. @jastey, I've got this error trying to install the latest version: Previous version installed without errors.
  21. Yes, BG1UB. I knew there were some UB related additions in the latest BGEE patch, but I was actually surprised how many components became redundant.
  22. Yeah, I think I' ve marked those components that were skipped in the first post of my EET run topic. I didn't cross them out intentionally at first, only after studying installation log and noticing these were skipped because of its content was already implemented by the newest BGEE patch.
  23. This. It's like reading one of Jarno's posts. There is a general idea behind it, but it may be that I'm too dumb to comprehend it. @temnix if you feel frustrating that you did not receive much anticipated recognition for all those mods you have provided, it's not because the lack of quality or innovative approach, but for your general attitude to others. We are not all inferior species, you know.
  24. Eee, why just not stick to vanilla, then? Why bother with EE in the first place? I get that EE is not everyone's cup of tea, but for those players there are still classic versions available. Not sure what's the point in rolling back EE changes.
