Bugs in BG1 ToSC, GemRB 0.6.3

It is affecting only old saves. It is because of an earlier bug.

Adding ForceAreaScript can fix the symptoms.

It will cause the game to behave differently than the original version, so it is not recommended for new games.

Only for people who got buggy saves.

Hmm, I set up this option and loaded broken save. Area script present. I saved my game before getting scrolls and exit. Turned off ForceAreaScript and loaded new save. Save loaded without scripts. What's wrong?

I loaded earlier save from another area and go to buggy area. Scripts in this area is broken in latest version too (no scripts).

Yeah, you were completely right, area saving needed an adjustment too (last script slot to write back).

ahh, ok, that explains :)

I tested this in BG2.

Most likely the bg1 opcode behaves differently.

 

In bg2, boot05 has 2 equipping effects, one for the resistance and another for the portrait icon.

I bet (i didn't check), bg1 has the portrait icon embedded into the resistance effect.
