Belanos
I have at least 90 mods now, both Tutu and BG2, and it's taking me forever to go through them all to install each one. What I'm wondering is whether it would be possible for me to create just a few mods that combine all the various components that I'd like to have in my game. I'm thinking that with WeiDu I might be able to create a "monster mod" so I wouldn't have to install each individual one that I've acquired so far, using only the components I want. Is this possible? SimDing0
I don't think it should be much work. Leave the directory names the same, so you'd still have a mass of folders in your BG2 directory, but merge the TP2s. [Edit] Oh, oh, TRAs might be a problem, actually. Link to comment

Dialogues and stuff could remain in their existing .tra states, couldn't they? Link to comment
SimDing0
Ah, yeh. Did Japh make the untraify script public in the end? Link to comment
igi
You could just make a .bat file to call each tp2 for you. You could even make a bat file to make the bat file to call each tp2 for you. Link to comment

Mongoose87
I don't know whether this is lazy, or inovative... Link to comment
SConrad
I personally think igi's suggestion is best (and easiest). Link to comment
jastey
Using a bat is ingenious. Lazy would be to let someone write the bat that writes the bat for calling the tp2s. Link to comment
igi
for %%i in (*.tp2) do echo weidu --yes %%i >> run-me.bat Link to comment
CamDawg
tp2s are no longer required to be in the root folder. Link to comment
Grim Squeaker
Hmmm... just had an idea. You know to play MP it requires all players to have all the mods installed in the same order? A program that reads in a WeiDU.log and produces a .bat to install those components in that order would be kinda useful for this. Rather than having to copy an enormous override folder. Belanos
Certainly possible. It might involve a lot of work, though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well I had a look at the WeiDu utility and I'm too lazy to try and figure out how to make it work. I guess I'll just have to settle for installing them all one at a time. Link to comment
igi
tp2s are no longer required to be in the root folder. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True, but I only know 2 modders who do that (although, I dont actually download many mods). And I dont recall any uber-nifty batch tricks to recurse through sub-directories. Link to comment
