Having a problem with Shar-Teel.

I installed the CDTweaks and the NPC Project, which according to the readme, should be compatible. I also made sure, i Installed the "NPCs never leave"-component.

Yet here i am at 17 rep, Shar-Teel lashes out at me and declares she is leaving immediatly. I cannot see, why she would do that besides the Tweaks, so I guess its a bug. I am not sure, why I cannot find anything related to that or maybe she is just so "hated", people never found out until now.

There seems to be no workfix around.

 

The other lesser problem is Alora in Gullykin. She tries to talk to the group, yet the dialog never initiates. I just included her with Strg+C during the cheat-command, kicked her out and after that, I was finally able to use her properly, without her trying to talk to me over and over again with never getting a dialog window.

I couldnt find anything for this out there as well.

 

 

The extra bit to prevent Shar-Teel from leaving with BG1 NPC was not covering all platforms, so I believe that's fixed.

For Alora, she should have a valid opening dialogue whether she's in Gullykin or not. Which platform are yo playing on?

This was actually already in, but only if you installed them reverse of the order presented. This will now work in the natural install order.

Could you clarify this in the readme as well, mentioning the compatibility at one of these components to make the order straightforward?

It's obviously a very minor issue and not all that important, but would that be possible to fix?

The merchant will trade only for the unique drops.

I need a little more info--I'm assuming oBG, but what components are installed? Eldoth (and Minsc) both use a simple !Dead check before sending a JoinParty to their partner, which AFAIK is ignored in oBG if the partner's not in the same area.

Little more info it is. I suspect main culprit is allow NPC pairs to separate together with send NPC's to inns. And I run into this particular bug on TUTU and oBG BOTH . Situation is that I got Eldoth early ( whether through CDTweaks or Anomaly's BG1NPC's at beginning). I keep him around usually until he hits level and party overcome initial challenges. Then I dismiss him to Jovial Juggler ( rendezvous point in Beregost) . When you enter second time in the inn Skie is there as well by some miracle. I think only other mod which affect Skie is one of components from BG1RE but I deeply doubt this is cause of it. One more thing I remembered from my last TUTU install is that dialogues for separate NPCs pairs are not working on it while on oBG everything is fine.

I installed the master version from github, all of my selected components installed ok.

I did not install component 'Remove Annoying Visual...', but I think the order of choices 2 and 3 should be switched, making 'Remove All of the Above' last in order.

Thanks for testing, and this is fixed. They actually are in that order in the tp2, but apparently WeiDU displays subcomponents by their component numbers.

I recall there is an established issue where the "Unique Containers with Uniques Names and Icons" only has a finite store of possible names to use... if you have a heaviliy-modded game that has tons of mod-added containers, CDTweaks can run out of names to give them and error out.

Solution: use the option that does not give them unique names. (Or install fewer mods? :spanking: )

@subtledoctor The item causing the break of Unique Containers is the Camping Gear, which was deleted along with the rest from the translation refactoring in commit https://github.com/Gibberlings3/Tweaks-Anthology/commit/e23838d7bfec0685dce81cdb4dac036d00453ecd#diff-356b0d891adf374072e31304b2ab8bba09c4463d56ba55221cc7a587a9fdca22L196 but wasn't readded back to the translation strings and it's item is still expecting the name on the old index. The component is getting recoded.

Finch issue should be solved, as should the missing string for Unique Containers.

The old approach of Unique Containers was to build a 1-to-1 array for a given bag and a mod item, and the bug was that we basically had a re-used icon without a corresponding string so the installer would fail. The new approach is to simply iterate through a list of bags and hand out icon/strings in a first-come, first-served order and to stop if it runs out.

I think the exotic items pack adds a katana to Meilum (in Firewine Bridge), but his proficiencies remain in long swords, making him kind of a chump.

This might be going on with other npcs that had their default weapons swapped as well, but this is the first one I've noticed.
