hook71
BG1 (SoD): String 69605: MINSC proudly proclaims himself a berserker warrior from the nation of Rashemen. He is currently undertaking his dejemma, a ritual journey all young Rashemi men undergo. His companion Dynaheir, whom he protects as part of his mission, is never far from his side. Dynaheir apparently has some interest in seeing the crusade stopped, and Minsc will follow wherever she leads. Indeed, "his witch," as Minsc calls her, is one of the few people from whom he will take direction. He also gives great weight to the "words" of his miniature giant space hamster, Boo. Neither you nor your other companions can hear Boo speak. It's possible Minsc has taken too many blows to the head. Still, his great strength and berserker rage should prove a danger to the crusaders you encounter. dejemma -> dajemma (There are also surplus spaces after "undergo." and "direction." jmerry
A small error, notable for it not being obvious (at least to me) what the correct version is. From the sahuagin city in BG2: #4413 (English): Call forth the Alguiliians! We are overrun! (text displayed by a creature's action) #4408 (English): Anguiliian (the name of the monster actually summoned). #4412: Anguiliian (a duplicate of the name). There's one other reference to the creature, in #46299: Your kind has many names for us, I believe. We are called the sea devils and our eel-kin the anguiliians, although I believe the merman word is most prevalent: sahuagin... OK, based on that, I think "Anguiliian" is the correct spelling, and #4413 is the text that needs to be corrected. But someone with a relevant sourcebook should ckeck. Quote Link to comment
CamDawg
Looks like it's Anguiliian. Quote Link to comment

CamDawg
I've added the correction for #4413, and have two quick BG/BG2 items for discussion. One is a suggestion to change the current BG/BG2 spell of "Emotion: Hopelessness" to "Emotion, Hopelessness". The latter brings it in line with how IWD names the spell as well as makes it a little more consistent with the Symbol and Power Word series of spells ("Power Word, Sleep", "Power Word, Blind", "Symbol, Fear", "Symbol, Stun" et al). It's also fine just how it is as. The other is that we need a decision on the capitalization of Dragomir's Cloak in BG2, specifically the 'c' in cloak. It's an even 50/50 split on usage: capitalized in 81363, 81823, 81829, 81856, 84959, 84960, and 84961 while lowercase in 81371, 81841, 84954, 84955, 84956, 84957, and 84958. Quote Link to comment
hook71
I wouldn't mind a change of the spell name to Emotion, Hopelessness so that we use the same name in all the games. I prefer Dragomir's Cloak. It's pretty consistent to spell item names with capital letters in sentences in the Baldur's Gate games. Quote Link to comment
jmerry
BGEE already uses the comma for Emotion; it's only BG2EE that has the colon. Even more reason to change it. Quote Link to comment
argent77
I have written a small WeiDU script to help locate excess spaces and line breaks in strings. I'm attaching it for everyone who's interested (in fixing that stuff). WeiDU script only. Setup binary is not included. ScanForWhiteSpaceIssues.zip Quote Link to comment
Andrea C.
Just a quick note, since Cam said he went with the British variant for one of the items in this thread. When Jalily and I revised the game text for BG:EE under Dave Gross’s supervision, as well as in Jalily’s work on SoD and BGII:EE, we always adopted American spelling, punctuation, and syntax. For consistency, I believe we should be adopting American English standards here too. Quote Link to comment
